This hotel is superb. Friendly Staff with very good service and also very considerate. We felt welcome to the hotel and offer special gift from the hotel staff during Chinese new year. Experience overall is excellent.

Generally a good hotel and had a good location for my trip specifically, but is about 20-30mins away from most attractions in Suzhou. Metro is relatively close by (~8 min walk). The breakfast is fantastic, mainly Chinese breakfast but had some Western breakfast options. The folks working at the front desk did not speak English, but I was able to check in easily and most (but not all) signs have English. I'd have a translator app ready to go though. Main complaints I had were: - Cigarette smoke smell in my room. It seemed relatively faint and wasn't always present, so I think it may have been from someone smoking outside or in a nearby room? I have a mild allergy to cigarette smoke so this was quite unpleasant. - Disposable toiletries were constantly replaced. Shower gel, shampoo, etc. are provided in small plastic bottles, but these would be replaced every day regardless of how much of their contents remained. In my 2 week stay that meant that nearly 50 bottles were used for 1 person -- this seems excessive and unnecessary.

Such a friendly hotel and much better value for money than some of the big names. Room was really big and very clean, bathroom a little old but spotless. As a family of four this was a good choice for us. The staff were lovely, they honestly put some of the 5* to shame, they were really helpful with everything. Breakfast is fine if you are happy with Chinese food, lots of choice for this (there were some western options) and happy to share a table. Beds were a little on the hard side for anyone not from China but fine. Overall we had a great stay and at a very reasonable price. There is a big free car park too which really helps if you are driving. There is also a metro station a very short walk away. There was a bowl of fruit and a lot of bottled water and ample toiletries. Would definitely stay again, a good wallet-friendly option.

Lovely hotel A little confusing with multiple hotels having the same name though Wonderful service and despite the building being old, it was modernised and everything still felt new

The hotel location is excellent which is near to the MTR train station, and neaby the lake walk is great. The hotel staffs service are excellent, helpful and kind. The room facilities are good. Will recommend friend to stay in this hotel.

Service: The hotel front desk is really very enthusiastic❤️Every time I pass by, the service staff will smile. I came too late on the first day and didn’t have lunch yet. The front desk also greeted the kitchen for me and asked them to leave two people. Food voucher (30 yuan): The hotel is below the Su Noodle House. I strongly recommend the eel noodles there. The original price is 49 yuan, and you can use the 30 yuan voucher to convert it to only 19 yuan. It’s super cost-effective! The front desk also told me that I must go to get the voucher to offset it. It’s really a very good service. Environment: The room is very big! It's really a good deal to book a room with such a good environment for less than 300 yuan in the off-season. The hair dryer is also Philips.
