A bit far from the train station but very comfortable hotel and friendly service

Very good hotel i stayed in the lake view suite

We had high hopes for this hotel, but the food was poor and made in old oil. The staff was friendly but the management rude and unhelpful. The room was dusty and previous guests had smoke in the room. Terrible smell. The pillows are old and smell like sweat, please take your own. The view of the room was great and the hotel could be great but I believe they don't have enough staff and are probably in financial crisis.

Clean and wide room with many activities for my kid. Outdoor swimming opens till late night so enjoyed good summer night with family

Restauration could be better but overall very nice experience

This was the worst hotel experience I’ve had in several years! The service in general is very poor/non-existent, but the worst part of this hotel is there isn’t any sound-proofing at all. We were planning to sleep early to get up for a hike, but from 9:00pm to 10:30pm all we could hear was constant screaming from the kids on both sides of the rooms. Even when all the children quieted down every few minutes you could hear a door slam, which would legitimately shake the whole room. It wasn’t at all peaceful or quiet or any sort of relaxing place. We actually ended up checking out around 11pm and driving all the way back to Shanghai because it was impossible to sleep. What an awful place!

Nice location and hotel, however service quality not adequate.

If you love nature and want to move from the busy city, Renaissance is perfect for you. Its located in a remote area by the mountain side with a nearby lake. The hotel has a recreational area where you can enjoy a movie, play video and arcade games or paint with friends and family.

Great service. Excellent food. The room has contemporary deco with a great view of Taihu Lake.

Everything you need is here when visiting Taihu! The staff are always helpful and go over & beyond in service!

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was very hospitable to families and had many opportunities to have fun! We had fine dining, outdoor activities, and indoor activities. The hotel even had a bowling alley, chess room and pool room. The room was beautiful and comfortable. I will return. I especially hope to meet Arthur again. He went out of his way to make our trip special. Well recommended!

Great hotel! Check in was quick and Caroline gave us a free room upgrade. Stephan and Caroline went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant and comfortable stay. The room was big, very clean and had a very comfortable bed. Highly recommend taking a room with a lake view! Great to have sundowners on the balcony. The facilities are great! Fun things to do for the whole family! Bowling, billiards, cinema and can enjoy drinks while relaxing next to the outside pool. Had tasty BBQ and free flow beer on the roof top of the hotel. Breakfast buffet (Chinese and Western style) was great with a wide variety of choice. Highly recommend staying at this hotel! Thank you again Stephan, Caroline as well as all other staff for excellent and friendly service. We can't wait to return.
