"Room was warm and stuffy. Staff did not mention the air conditioner was not in use prior to check in. There werent enough ventilation through the night as there only one small window that could be opened, and there’s an air purifier, which they mentioned could function as a fan but with minimal efficacy. Staff did mention about changing room at night when we informed then it was warm, but we dont think that would make any difference at all. All in all, we suggest they provide a proper electric fan which serves a good alternative to switching off the main air conditioner due to autumn."

We called the engineer to turn off the heating twice, but we still need to open the window at night. In Chongli in winter, sleeping with the window open, you can imagine that we didn't need to cover ourselves with quilts for the first two nights 😓 3. The window of the room is next to the tatami, without any protection. We live on the 8th floor. Fortunately, there are no very young children. If there are children, the room is hot and the window is open, it is easy to fall down. I hope the hotel can pay attention to it! 4. The so-called hot spring bath is just a few showers + a bathing pool. Don't compare it with the hot spring pool. It's just a simple bath. I personally feel that if it's not a free ticket, you can just soak in the hotel bathtub. There is no difference. 5. The family room has only one bathroom and a washbasin. It's really a bit difficult to wash in the morning and evening. You need to queue up. To sum up, as a pure ski hotel, the Foothill Hotel is good and worth recommending, but as a hotel for vacation or family fun, it's really ~😓I hope the hotel can learn from the suggestions and there are hidden dangers, and it will get better and better!"

"The hotel is ideally situated in a prime location, making it easy to reach and navigate. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by its stunning beauty and elegant decor. The check-in process was very smooth. They even offer self check-in. After we arrived to our room we received a welcome plate of fruit and yogurt. The room we stayed in was a masterpiece of design, meticulously decorated with a keen eye for detail, and the cleanliness maintained by the staff was impeccable. We thoroughly enjoyed the buffet breakfast, which offered an impressive variety of dishes, including both Western and Chinese cuisines. The area surrounding the hotel boasts breathtaking views of the river, adding to the overall charm of our stay. The only thing missing is a swimming pool. The other amenities are very nice."

"My impression of crown plaza resort was taken a back with the recent stay at this premise. I’m not sure it was due to low season or toward the end of skiing season. Other than enjoying the skiing experiences, I think a lot still can be improved. 1. Room is big but not practical especially no door despite bathtubs is there. 2. Toilet was at another Conner of the room. 3. Public toilet was terrible with smoking smell and stink. Not common for a good resort with such reputation. 4. Food was so so at the morning breakfast. Understandable if it is due to limited guess. But at least it can be change to a lar cart serving instead of buffet."

"This is the fourth year I have stayed at Zhangjiakou International Hotel. The hotel's facilities and services are excellent. This time I slept on the buckwheat pillow in the hotel room and I felt it was great. I even bought two to take home. During the stay, the staff decisively changed the room because of the noise problem on the floor. As long as the problem was raised, the staff would help solve it as soon as possible. It was great!"

"Hotel facilites were excpetional and the service was fantastic. The room I booked was a suite and was the biggest suite I have had the pleasure of staying in. Xonsidering the size I believed it to be good value It is about 2km from the Thaiwoo ski fields and whilst there was a shuttle of you missed it which I did it you either had to get a taxi/didi which at the peak time of day was a very long time. The walk is long in ski boots which I wouldnt recommend. Special mention to Andy who looked after me whilst I was there, he went out of his way to made the stay as pleasant as possible"

The location was fantastic, especially for skiing families like ours. It’s just steps from the ski resort entrance, so no stressing about long walks or shuttles. Honestly, it couldn’t be more convenient! There were plenty of food places around for easy dinners after a long day on the slopes, and the hotel’s breakfast was Chinese-style and absolutely satisfying. It gave us all the energy we needed for the day ahead – just perfect for both kids and adults! The service was another highlight. Everyone was so kind and accommodating, and traveling moms know how much little things like that matter. Plus, the hotel even offers a convenient transfer to the train stations, which made our trip so much easier. No headaches or complicated logistics – just smooth sailing! We had such a wonderful time and will absolutely be coming back. If you’re planning a family ski trip, I can’t recommend the Thaiwoo Hotel enough. It checked all the boxes for us, and we can’t wait to return!"
