Staying at Xiangtong Hotel in Luang Prabang is simply a journey wrapped in the beauty of nature and humanity. The hotel itself is like a work of art hidden in the texture of the town. The wooden structure carries the warmth of traditional Laotian architecture. The bougainvillea in the ancient city is full of corridors, and the sun shines through the gaps between the leaves. Every step is like stepping into a painting. The most surprising thing is its distance from the Mekong River - 20 meters away from the door, you can see the blue waves of the Mekong River flowing slowly. In the early morning, there are fishing boats crossing the water surface. In the evening, the river breeze blows with water vapor, and even breathing becomes sweet. If you want to chase the sunset of Mount Phousi, it only takes ten minutes to walk from the hotel. After reaching the top and looking back, you can see the roof of the hotel glowing with warm light in the twilight, reflecting the sparkling waves of the Mekong River in the distance, as if the tenderness of the whole Luang Prabang is captured by this corner of the world. Living here, beauty is no longer a deliberate landscape, but is integrated into the daily breath: drinking coffee on the terrace by the river in the early morning and watching monks walk through the alley; coming back from chasing the sunset in the evening, walking on the cobblestone road and listening to the chirping of insects back to the room, even dreams are filled with the moisture of the Mekong River and the afterglow of Mount Phousi.

Overall, it’s ok. Pas le meilleur des emplacements, à 10min du centre Il y avait énormément d’insectes dans la chambre et sur le lit (fourmis, moustiques…), j’ai été piqué tous les soirs. La SDB est propre mais la porte ne se ferme pas. La piscine n’était pas la plus propre non plus, le rapport qualité/prix n’est pas forcément bon pour un hostel laotien. Cependant, l’hostel n’est pas mauvais.

We had a nice stay at this hotel. Room is spacious. Staff are friendly, even though we had some miscommunication about early breakfast. They kept our luggage for 2 days, which was wonderful for us to travel light dure a 2 day tour

Clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was good and an excellent location. The host speaks English and is very attentive to guests and keeping the facilities clean. I would stay here again

The second time I punched in, the boss was very enthusiastic, so that I came to Laos for the second time and came to this store. The environment was comfortable. It was okay to have tea and chat with you. The boss will also tell you about the travel guide to introduce local food. In short, it is praised 👍🏻

Old hotel like everywhere in Laos, “breakfast “ is some eggs and some toast and banana, that’s all you have. The room and bed are so tidy so prepare if you have big suitcases. The landlord is very friendly, just the facilities are old

Spotless clean and friendly staff, the hotel is located at around 15 minutes walk from downtown. They dispose of free bikes that can be used to roam around town, the place is quiet and with good vibes around the place.

The hostel is well located and within walking distance of major sites. It is close to a minimarket and a few restaurants. Beds are big, and breakfasts are included in the already very affordable price. The owner is very helpful and hilarious. When I came and was really starving, he offered to cook something for me. As I was worried about not being able to book a car ride to the airport, he eventually drove me there on his scooter. He is very chatty and willing to share his enriching living expériences.

Convenient to travel, in the center of the old city, and very close to the morning and night markets. The room was booked as a family room with three beds. There was a youth hostel next door, so it was a bit noisy at night. The price is similar to that in China. The villa has a beautiful appearance and a beautiful courtyard environment, which is suitable for a short break. Overall good, recommended 👍
