We are couples traveling to Miri. The hotel is around 25mins away from the airport. When I arrived at the hotel I was greeted by the bellman and assisted me with my luggage. Overall the experience was pleasant. Check in process is smooth.
However, I noticed some aspects of the room could be improved. Like the flooring damages and the toilet stains. Housekeeping also did not replenished the room amenities. Addressing these would make the stay truly exceptional.

Had to check in late during my stay because my room wasn’t done cleaning. Once we got into our room, the floor was not properly clean. I assume it is because most of the worker are in a rush, which make sense because we went there during school holidays. Nevertheless, it is my second time staying at Marriot, I still like their area as they have a big pool just beside the beach. We can relax and have a swim all in one. 😃

Lock on our door didn't work so were moved to another room with a double bed which was small and very bouncy. Then moved to another room which smelt of cigarette smoke...non-smoking hotel but guests ignore that.
Breakfast was okay. Options for Western and Malay tastes.
The pool area is lovely to sit out in the evening with a view over the city and ocean in the distance.
The staff at this hotel are very helpful, want to make sure you are comfortable and always smiling

GGuest UserI recently had a one-night stay at Jinhold Hotel and Apartment in Miri during a transit stop, and here is my review:
Strengths:
-Affordable and Budget-Friendly: At just SGD 60 per night, this hotel offers excellent value for travelers seeking convenience without breaking the bank.
-Prime Location with Exceptional Accessibility: The hotel is ideally located directly across from Miri Airport, making it a perfect choice for transit travelers or those with early flights. The complimentary hourly shuttle van service was especially helpful. For our 8 AM flight, we needed to be at the airport by 6 AM for check-in and baggage drop, and the shuttle service provided seamless transportation without the hassle of arranging additional transport.
-Secure Parking Facilities: An added benefit was the option to rent a parking space in the hotel’s basement. We opted to leave our car there at a reasonable rate of RM53 per night. The facility was secure, giving us peace of mind while we were away.
-Spacious and Functional Accommodations: The room was spacious, clean, and equipped with the essential amenities one would expect from a transit hotel. While the facilities were simple, they were practical and met our basic needs comfortably.
Areas for Improvement:
-Elevator Reliability: One of the elevators presented some issues during our stay. It lacked air-conditioning, and its performance was somewhat erratic. Upon our return to pick up our car, we noted that the same elevator was out of service entirely, which was inconvenient for guests needing access to the basement parking.
-Bed Design Flaws: The bed’s structure could use significant improvement. It consisted of two mattresses placed on a wooden platform, but the edges of the mattresses tended to tilt outward. This created an unstable sleeping experience and gave the impression that one might roll off the bed if not positioned carefully.
Conclusion:
Overall, Jinhold Hotel and Apartment is a highly convenient and budget-conscious option for transit travelers. Its proximity to Miri Airport, coupled with the free shuttle service and secure parking facilities, makes it an appealing choice. Despite minor issues with the elevator and bed design, the practicality and affordability outweigh these drawbacks. I would consider staying here again for the convenience it provides.

GGuest UserExcellent value for money for a hotel in an excellent location. Hotel is located in town, connected to 2 shopping malls and within walking distance of many good local eateries. Spacious apartments are dated but perfectly livable. Hotel rooms have been refurbished and quite nice.

MMeimay KongI had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The accommodation quit nice and the room was large. But there is a couple of issues. First, I was able to hear a noise from the room next door. Also, I was disappointed to find the amenities provided only for one person instead of two. But overall, I enjoyed my time.

GGuest UserThe place was just nice, near to the shopping centre.They should improve the car park area, need to provide parking lot for hotel guests only, it's took me a hour to find available parking, especially during lunch time.
For the room,there are cockroaches in my room. Luckily they move us to the nicer room. But there's noisy from the construction outside during rest time. So far i like this hotel, nice breakfast as well.

FFNo lift at all, have to climb up 3rd floor by foot which is ridiculous. No hot water when want to shower at night because of water tank empty? Only the location is all right and the room is quite clean. Nothing else. Not really recommended to be honest.

Location : super good, walking distance to mall and restaurants
Room : common facilities available, just the toilet is old and not clean (many rusted stain).
Breakfast : super simple dishes available (Kuey tiao, toasted bread, Jam, fish ball, beam, egg and coffee, cold drinks)
Staff : good service and helpful
Suitable if I only travel alone and stay for a night..

IicedhojichalatteLocation is nearby Bintang Mall about 10 mins walk. There are restaurants downstairs but I didn’t get to try. The hotel provides water dispenser at the reception and has elevator to access rooms. Overall stay was pleasant, barely heard any street noises however we can hear the hallway sounds of footsteps and cleaners opening plastic bags. Sometimes we can smell smoke coming from the ventilations since we have no window. Towels, toothbrushes & soaps are provided. They have a smart TV can login to Netflix or stream YouTube. Aircon was pretty cold too.
