It is one of the few inns in Niigata City where you can park your bike, and you can park at a private bicycle parking lot with a roof (reservation required). It is close to Niigata Station and there are many izakaya around, so you can enjoy seafood and local sake from the Sea of Japan. The facility is convenient for large communal baths, restaurants, and convenience stores of 1F to enter with indoor-equipped work clothes. Breakfast buffet is a large number of items in Japanese, Western and Chinese, and you can taste Niigata's specialties, including bristle squid sashimi, from the morning. I was able to meet a good hotel in Ku 々.

With 150 years history, this is the only hotel in Niigata equipped with both a stone spa and narural hot spring. A long-established traditional style hotel which boasts great cuisine.

This is a revisit of Ku 々. This bedrock bath is my first experience. It's near the entrance, but first wash your body in the large communal bath in the back of the inn. So change into Samue and move near the entrance again. It was nice to sweat a lot in the bedrock bath, but I went to the large communal bath in the back while wearing a soaked samue. The inside of the building was quite cold, probably because of ventilation for corona measures, and the body was cold to the core with a soaked samue. It would be nice to have a space where you can change clothes near the bedrock bath, but there is only a paid private bath. Although it is a large communal bath, the indoor bath does not seem to be a hot spring. There is a sauna, but there is no cold bath. There is a sleeping space, but there is a sign that says ”cleaning” throughout your stay, and hot water is never filled. Supper is reasonable. The sashimi was delicious. Rice too. Breakfast has coffee, but no juice or milk. The room is large. There is no cold water pot, so you have to secure some water at night. The most impressive thing was the bedrock bath.

On the first Friday of September, after visiting Yahiko Shrine, I stayed with my wife for one night. The appearance is a seasoned thing that smells of the Showa era. At the same time as arrival, the guidance staff appeared from the entrance. I was invited by the staff to check in at the front desk. The interior has been beautifully renovated. After listening to the explanation of meals, etc., I went to the guest room on the 3rd floor. The room, which is thought to have been originally a Japanese-style room, is a twin bed room with wooden flooring. It is a style where you take off your shoes at the entrance and spend your time barefoot. It looks like it has been refurbished, but it is the cheapest room among the twin rooms, so the texture is reasonable. The special thing is the hot springs. Both the indoor and outdoor baths have a faint sulfur scent and are so soft that you will want to stay in them forever. There is no water bath, but there is a compact sauna, and since it was a weekday, I was able to use it almost to myself. This sauna can also be used during the morning bath, so after working up a sweat, lying down on the bench next to the open-air bath and looking up at the clear morning sky, I felt that my body and mind were cleansed. For dinner, a course meal is served at the restaurant on the 2nd floor, and for breakfast, a buffet is served at the lobby lounge on the 1st floor. I was satisfied with both quality and quantity, and it was very delicious because it was devised to incorporate local ingredients and local cuisine. As expected, there is only rice, and the deliciousness of white rice is exceptional. There was a little trouble at dinner, but when I checked out the next morning, the proprietress gave me a polite apology, and I felt once again that the staff was well taken care of. It was a hot spring town in a mountain village with nothing around, so I was able to enjoy the way I was supposed to spend my time at the inn. Thank you very much for your help.

BBenjamin de YeungThe hotel is a good choice for small group of traveller. I am impressed by the low price and excellent hygiene of this hotel. The view is panoramic to the harbor. However, the air-conditioner sometimes does not work and we have to call the front desk to turn on the cooling for the room every other day. There is no gym room or facilities in the hotel except the lower floors of the building is indeed a famous art museum and exhibition or some sort. It could be interesting to visit the museum. Hotel in Japan seldom comes with gym facilities so I am not too annoyed by that.

GGuest UserSince it is a sunroute brand, there is a sense of security as an inn for traveling alone. However, among the many sunroutes, the facility is quite old. The key is made of old-fashioned metal and is not automatic locking. The air conditioning is also controlled as a whole and there is no room. The bathtub is also old. It is about a 5-minute walk from Mandaiguchi, Niigata Station, and there is a convenience store right in front of you. Amenity is now a type that picks up by yourself at the front desk. I didn't use the buffet because I stayed without meals this time.

GGuest UserMy family and travelled to Niigata at the end of April 2023 and had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Okura Niigata. Prior to the trip, I had reached out to them via email to inquire about coordinating a van + driver for us (6 of us) so that we could go visit some sake breweries and to make dinner reservations for us at a nearby restaurant. The concierge team was amazing and booked a large van (jumbo taxi) and driver for the day. they also ensured that the van could accommodate a folding wheelchair for one group member that needed it. The van and driver arrived on time and was quite reasonably priced. Great experience that was made possible by the hotel team! Upon return to the hotel, we realized we had left some items on the van - the hotel called the taxi company and coordinated the return of our items. Beyond these experiences, the hotel itself is a bit older but rooms are comfortable and fairly spacious for a hotel room in Japan. Location is great and the breakfast buffet was one of the better ones we had on this trip. If I should ever travel back to Niigata, I will most definitely be staying here. The hotel and team won my business by going above and beyond...even for Japan standards of customer service! Domo arigatogozaima****a!!!

HHuiruThe location is less than 5 minutes' walk from Niigata Station. It is located in a quiet alley, so it is very quiet. In addition, the breakfast is rich and balanced. In addition to rare fruits (tomatoes and strawberries), even the miso soup is full of vegetables. Excellent value for money, highly recommended. The nearby Hakusan Shrine is a famous place of worship for marriage, and the Bandai Museum of Art building can be climbed up to see the distance.

GGuest UserStayed for 1 night watching soccer. It is a little far from Niigata Station, but within walking distance. The surrounding area is comfortable for shopping and playing in the downtown area. It is also close to the bar. The hotel itself is old, but it is perfect with a chic design. It is enough to sleep in a single room. The restroom is also an old-fashioned washlet. Breakfast is buffet and you can enjoy Niigata local food. It is a hotel that I want to use next time.

GGuest User〇 Good point The partition of the hotel room and the passage is clear, and there is no resistance to taking off the shoes and walking around the room. There is an entrance immediately after entering the shopping street, and there are several motorcycles at the entrance. There is no drinker around the cherry blossoms, and it is quiet at night 〇 The attitude of the cherry blossom male employee is fucking bad, and the number of channels of the LV cherry blossom TV is small, and the Kanazawa TV is reflected, but the cable is not connected Messe On the other hand, U-Tube is seen. The entrance of the hotel and the Yoshino family are directly connected, and breakfast can be selected at the hotel or Yoshino family. Is it security okay? ? .

66469113004msmsI can't take the usual inn and use it for the first time. The public bath is changed by men and women. I can't stay when I like it, and I'm sorry. Although there is a public bath in a business hotel, it is completely different. △ The room is not so new, but of course the cleaning is firm. I am glad that the bed is a bit large. ✖︎ I'm sorry that the radio waves on Wi-Fi are weak. ○ The number of breakfast items is not good. It is interesting to make egg baking self without warming the fish. As a result, ok. Maybe you can use it several times.
