I do not know of a better hotel to stay at when I am abroad. The kindness of the staff, and the cleanliness of the rooms makes this hotel my number one place to stay, when I am in France. I also appreciate the help I receive when I need assistance to find information about an event in town. This makes my trip so much more interesting. The breakfasts are superb, and they cater to all your needs, This hotel is like my home, away from home. I cannot wait to get back. This hotel treats you like your are part of their family. Outstanding in every way.

For a few nights in Clermont I found this hotel that was just ”as once”: historic furniture, unmodernized rooms and reception as fifty years ago. The hotel is very clean and characteristic (for example, the bathroom doors were an antenna of a closet!) as well as the view from the room on the roofs of the city. If you look for the old France with a piece of romanticism and nostalgia, it's not a place you'll easily forget.

Outstanding
Solid Mercure in a great location if you need to be in the middle of the city. I was asked on check in if I wanted a larger room, or a smaller one on the quiet side of the hotel - I choose quiet and it was indeed calm and lovely. Room was still large - coffee maker and sparking water in the mini fridge.

신신쫄이The accommodation was really comfortable and clean. The reception staff were also friendly. One thing to note is that there is no hair dryer!! You have to pay and borrow money at the reception. This was the most disappointing part. Breakfast was decent.

GGuest UserWe stayed here due to it's proximity to the rugby stadium plus with a car park. Check in was faultless. Our room was large, comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower powerful (we also had a separate bath!). Breakfast was plentiful and generally kept fresh and topped up. Easily sufficient foir starting the day. The Staff were friendly and helpful - even with simple obvious queries. Would recommend for rugby (5 minute walk) or the city (2 to 3 tram stops from outside). The hotel is in the midst of a refurbishment and so currently is noisy during the day.

Clean and comfortable perfect for a one night stopover. With helpful friendly staff who allowed us to chain our motorcycle to the column right outside the hotel doors under the security camera. We had originally booked a hotel in the centre but after finding out about the Crit Air charges in the larger French towns/cities (clean air zone) we cancelled it and booked this instead. It’s a 5 min walk to the tram stop which takes you right to the centre and is free on a weekend. Breakfast was decent and they also give you 10% discount voucher for the steakhouse next door which isn’t too bad.

Stayed here twice on the way to Spain and the way back. Hotel was fantastic and staff were amazingly helpful. The hotel was very clean, rooms were modern and the gardens/ pool area were very good. Our daughter loved playing with all the outside games. Whilst we did not eat in the restaurant the food looked good. Our only criticism was at the night the bar service was extremely slow, however, staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend this hotel as a stop off point on the way to and from Spain, they also have three free basic (presume 7kw) electric charge points for cars and a load of Tesla chargers.

We stayed for one night and were glad to find that the hotel is only a 6-7 minute walk from the train station (and very easy to find). Check-in was simple, staff were all friendly, and we found our room no problem. Opening the door was more of a challenge - the key card seemed to work but the door itself was very heavy/stiff. However, once we were in, the room was small but perfectly formed, fine for a short stay but possibly a bit confined for a longer stay. The bed was comfortable, the wifi was good, the bathroom well-appointed. Everything was very clean. Our room was on the railway side of the building and the noise might bother some people, although it didn’t bother us. The breakfast buffet was excellent - tasty and good value for money, and we loved the eclectic design of the dining room. The outside terraces looked inviting, but we didn't get a chance to linger. The hotel is close enough to the city (15-20 mins walk) to allow for easy access to the old town. We'd definitely stay again.

On way there no problems, polite, helpful staff. NOT the case on way back Friday 26/8. Rude unhelpful staff, who wanted to charge one of us for drink, but with no price list. When asked apparently the price list is private and no receipt could be provided! Screams out that someone on the make. Also staff entered one of the rooms while we loading cars and hadn’t even checked out which is totally unacceptable. So unfortunately you missed out on 14 breakfast on Saturday 27/8 as we all went elsewhere. I know this is a budget hotel but don’t expect to be shouted at when we are paying customers. Would like to speak to someone about having some money refunded and some of your staff need to be trained in customer services and also conveniently don’t understand English which is not what is advertised! Very bad experience and definitely not happy.

GGuest UserFollowing a mechanical break and an immobilization of our vehicle from Spain, I contact the hotel to cancel my room. After giving my name and booking number, I explain to the recipient that I am aware of the very short time of this cancellation (24h before), that I had paid in advance and that I wanted only a document attesting my cancellation for I'm surprisingly surprised to tell her that I've booked directly on Kyriad's website. She answers that I must do this cancellation on their website by clicking on a tab dedicated to this purpose and that I will get this attestation. So I'm going to Kyriad's site, don't find this tab and remind her to signal him. It is then that this lady persisting in her misinformation, inflicts me on: ”Sir, you don't listen to me !!!” and ”This is the last time I explain it to you !!!”. I ask her to speak to me otherwise and to speak to a hotel manager, seeing that it was impossible to move forward with her, she waits me and then tells me that her manager cannot take me on the phone and that it is necessary send him a email ??? I'm locking up and looking on the web, I find a n' phone from Kyriad's platform to cancel my reservation, on which I was explained that a reservation could not be cancelled via their website and that his colleague vehemently “I was not trained. I received a email confirming my cancellation and for the little story, invoking breakfasts that will never have been consumed! I will never be back to a Kyriad hotel and I'll also ask me about the truth of the dithyrambic opinions on this hotel with such a reception and such deafy of its direction.
