Hotels in Iztok, Sofia

The environment around the hotel is very good, and downstairs is a big forest park. In the morning, you can take a walk in the woods, very comfortable. You can also see the lifestyle of many locals. I feel that this hotel is great and the breakfast is very rich.

The stay in Sofia was customary. The location of the accommodation is perfect, very close to the city centre and the metro station. The staff was nice and premature and accessible for questions. The accommodation is secured by a pincode outside. The rooms are OK, you have beds, a closet and a water cooker. We couldn't find a kitchen personally, but should there be. The water in the showers was warm, so plus point. However, for example, the window did not close and it was a little colder. Check-in went easy, you also got clothes and shampoo, but at check-out no one was at the reception. Our biggest problem was that the walls are very noisy. We woke up by 4.30 because it was sooo noisy in the corridor (probably drunk co-inhabitants) and it sounded like the scenario was directly in our room. Conclusion: feasible but habitual -＞ for 1/2 nights okay, but longer I wouldn't feel well there. Wonderfully, no one woman saw there. LG

The room is not too big but very comfortable. The service here is great and the location is perfect . I love the breakfast here , have lots of choice and the food are not bad. Just an small issue happen is that the manger mixed up our room since we have a big group of 12 people , I have upgraded my room but the manger had wrongly give this upgraded room to my friend without notice. But the manger have free out breakfast for apologies which I appreciated that and it’s a very service there.

The hotel is strategically located and very close to the attractions! Hotel service is very good, breakfast is slightly simple!

The hotel is located in an area that is awesome. Beside the subway . Besides local stores, supermarkets. And scenery and museums. The room itself is very primitive but clean. The toilets and showers are outside the rooms in the hall. Primitive but clean. The owner is very, very nice and helpful. It was lovely to talk to or game with in the game room. He helps you with everything you need. From food till a day trip. Loved to stay with him

The Rila Hotel is an old hotel with old facilities, shoe box size elevators but in a very central part of the town near to everything. Our first night we stayed in a standard small room ( I think it cost $46 maybe $50 with taxes etc )that was not satisfactory. The next day for $10 - $12 per day upgrade we moved into a double size spacious/suite room with 2 balconies !! Very nice to sit out on the balcony with the afternoon setting sun and to wash out a few cloth items and let the sun dry them. Neither of the rooms had shower curtains in the bathrooms. When i enquired about this I was told this was done because of covid. Hhmmm not sure how a shower curtain has any bearing on covid ? We stayed a total of 7 nights and only once, after I called down to the front desk, did a chamer maid come up and take out the garbage and change the towels. To be fair my girlfriend has a habit of spreading all her things all over the 2 rooms so we hesitated to make a fuss. I can imagine a maid being shocked to walk in and not know what to do in all the mess. Breakfast cost extra and was only ok but enough to start the day. There was a large flat screen TV which we never turned on, there was no safe deposit box in the room but we were able to leave our valuables downstairs at the front desk. There are other hotels also nearby that are probably more renovated and modern and most likely cost a little more. On our next trip we most likely will see about other options. The staff was friendly and helpful. I guess it depends on what your expectations are but for us it worked.

The location couldn't be better, next to the metro that goes to and from the airport. The room and bathroom were very good. Every day they came to clean and change the towels. The staff was very competent. You can have a coffee in the lobby for free.

I booked thinking it would have air conditioning, but it didn't. It was a summer night but luckily it was cool so no problem. There was a post raising issues with the card for the room key and lights, so I resolved it by inserting another card. Now you can escape the pain of locking from the inside in the dark. There was a mysterious hole in the toilet. You can see the piping. I thought it would be better to be invisible here,

The room was clean and comfortable, with a large floor-to-ceiling window to enjoy the outside view. Very quiet at night, there are various restaurants downstairs, very convenient. It is the most cost-effective hotel I have ever stayed in Sofia.
