Was extremely disappointed that the wifi in the room wasn’t working at all. This is very bad considering that this is supposed to be a business hotel. Furthermore, no attempt at compensation was offered at all, even though i paid for the wifi which was advertised. Staff also did not bother to update on the status after checking and I had to call the reception again to check on the update of the wifi. That said, the room was adequate and all the staff were still nice (by Bulgarian standards).
I recently stayed at the Sofia Novotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable space to unwind after a busy day. The beds were perfect—not too firm and not too soft, ensuring a great night’s sleep.
The hotel’s location is fantastic, situated just across the street from a shopping mall, which made it incredibly convenient for dining, shopping, and entertainment. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile.
The breakfast was excellent, offering a good variety of fresh and tasty options to start the day.
The only downside was the gym, which is quite small and lacks heavy free weights and a pull-up bar. While it’s fine for a basic workout, those looking for a more comprehensive fitness setup might be disappointed.
All in all, Sofia Novotel is a great choice for its location, comfort, and service, but fitness enthusiasts might find the gym facilities limited. I would definitely stay here again!
An excellent experience with a level of comfort and service befitting a high-end hotel. One of the main highlights is the quality of its facilities. The room is modern, spacious, and very well-equipped with comfortable bedding and impeccable cleanliness. The staff offers a very warm and professional welcome. The pool, spa, and gym are a definite plus after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast is excellent, offering a vast selection to suit all tastes. The hotel is located in the business district, a bit far from the city center, which requires using the metro or a taxi to visit Sofia. Despite its slightly off-center location, the quality of the services makes it a sure bet, and I would gladly return on a future trip to Sofia.
The room is relatively small, the walking distance of Metro Lines 1 and 4, there is a Chinese super around 300 meters, selling daily necessities, clothes and groceries, etc., no food and beverages
Good location, near the airport, ten minutes away! The room is spacious, the facilities are complete, the restaurant service is good, the next day to catch the plane, the first night in advance feedback, the next morning at the front desk received a rich breakfast with bottled water, eggs, bread, yogurt, apples, intimate preparation of disposable knife and fork spoon and paper towels, Special praise 👍!
For the transition hotel to the airport the next day, drive to the airport for 15 minutes, parking is available, there are no restaurants nearby, there is a lido supermarket, breakfast is relatively simple.
Hotel location is very good at the crossroads, there is also a bar open-air restaurant, it is very convenient from the overpass, it is also close to the mall, the hotel environment is also good, the room is very good, the health is very clean, the service is also very good, it is recommended to stay.

It was nice with a Christmas and new year celebration spirits. The only problem in the room was the lack of some of the amenities. There was no iron in the room and there was no clear mirror. Breakfast was ok but I’ve seen better breakfasts in other hotels.

Location is top of the consideration. Centre located that you can walk to most popular attraction. Metro or tram is very close within steps. Hotel is partly renovated. I believe it will be amazing when finished. Breakfast is not included. 15 Lev per person with small buffet that you can choose most popular items, ie, eggs, ham, sausages, breads or cereals. But they are not very hot on the warmers. However, I would still recommend people to go there for sleep and shower. Room was big enough and balcony overlook the city. Price is very good compare to same standard 3 stars hotel. Staff speaks reasonable English that is convenient. Good luck!
