Spotless rooms with very nice toiletries. Only negative issue was the service in the reception. Hardly any smiles, you do not get a feeling that you are welcomed. I received a wrong invoice with a name of another customer when I rented a bike. However, the bike rental is otherwise very easy and the bikes are a good quality. If the weather allows I recommend to cycle to your destination. Excellent breakfast with a variety of gluten free and vegan options. You may also have a custom-made omelet.

The hotel is clean and hygienic, but the room is very small. The prices in The Hague are generally high, but I don't know why this hotel is expensive but has a small room. The service is also very good and the bedding is very comfortable.

Really rate this hotel. Stayed here under previous management and enjoyed it then. The hotel is in a fantastic location for the world forum and allows easy walks into town and to the beach. Good quality breakfast but was chaos at 8am with lots of items run out and not being replaced. Came earlier the next 2 days. Service in the bar was terrible, a server told my colleague that they couldn’t make a cocktail on the menu because they ‘didn’t have time’. They’d already taken payment for it before they mentioned this. They then offered a beer in place which was 1/3 of the price and it took 3 members of management and 30 minutes to get a refund for the cocktail they didn’t serve. They then came back and said they now did have time to make it and that he could take it to his room, on his own, to drink it. He repeated the 5th time for a refund. That aside, If you want a good hotel in a great location in Den Haag, this is the one for you.

Nice old house, but clean, clean, everything you need, refrigerator, balcony, good breakfast, very friendly welcome, good at the coast,,t is not Hilton, but my husband and I have been very happy to us! Those people get awful remarks, because it's simple and old, but they're hard to make everything out, we're happy, otherwise you're gonna go to Kurhaus,, respect for the owner, if you need everything in your room,are you happy?

GGuest UserIt's a very nice hotel, located in the center of the city. Beautiful design, the rooms are pleasant. The breakfast is good. Those who come with a car are advised not to park in the parking lot below the hotel, because it is expensive. We camped in a parking lot within walking distance (of course after dropping off our luggage at the hotel) on Geest Street 1. We had a less pleasant experience, our daughter felt sick, and they had no idea where to refer us and we were even sent to the emergency which turned out to have been closed for 3 years. So only health, and enjoy.

LLThe location is great , close to city Center and museum, just 2 minutes walk from the closest tram station to get off.
Thought there is a restaurant in hotel from the photos but indeed just a dinning area together with the front desk area which only provides breakfast.
Large room, bed and toilet are clean , kitchen is good too if you wish to cook, more homie feelings to stay in here, but the sofa in my room was having some stains.
Also the room is quite (no noise from outside) , feeling secured too as solo traveller. Originally thought the washer is inside my room, but actually are all in the public washer & dryer room, tho 24 hours open, btw no washing powder provided you need to bring or buy yourself. Still good for long-trip traveller.
Overall is not a bad stay with this location and room size , maybe not the best but still worth the prize

GGuest UserStayed here for 2 nights recently with my partner. As frequent travelers of netherlands to the various cities including den haag ,we had never stayed here before. Lovely experience overall with very pleasant and friendly staff. We had a garden view room(upgraded as club members) with everything you needed clean comfy bed,safe,big shower with toiletries etc and very quiet at night. Their was a complimentary breakfast included in the rate which was a buffet style but more than adequate with a selection of cold cheeses meats,cereals,pastries,teas coffees orange juice yogurts and boiled eggs. Decent coffee machine. Small little bar on site and ice machine in lobby. .We were given a late check out as we had a later flight which was truly appreciated . Excellently located for busisness or any of the visitor sites in den haag. We would definitely return and recommend.😀

GGuest UserIt took me a while to write this review since I was afraid of my personal safety. Nevertheless, I have finally decided to share this information with other travelers. This incident happened during a weekday night when I decided to do a walk-in at the Ibis hotel in Den Haag after a long trip. I was already aware of some bad reviews from other travelers indicating ”naughty” staff. Nonetheless, I decided to give it a go. I entered the hotel and mentioned the hotel clerk that I wanted to book a room. His attitude was rough indicating me that he did not have any rooms left. For my bad luck, my phone was out of battery so I decided to seat in one of the tables in the lobby to quickly charge it to look for a hotel somewhere else. While I was charging my phone, the clerk approached me and shouted at me that I had to leave the hotel. I explained him that I wanted to charge my phone to look for other hotels in the area and I wouldn't take much time. He continued shouting at me that I had to leave, when suddenly he grabbed my bag and literally threw it to the street. At this moment I was petrified since I never imagined something like this was happening. Then, he pushed me violently out of the hotel. Luckily I managed to take a picture of this guy. The guy has a tattoo on his right arm and rather than a hotel clerk, he thinks he is a MMA fighter or part of gang. I really don't know how the manager of this hotel can have person like this with such level of anger dealing with customers. My review by no means intend to advice other travelers to visit or not this hotel. I believe the facilities of this hotel are quite nice but what I can say is that I'm not entering this place again until they take strong actions towards improving the quality of their staff. I hope this guy doesn't get fired because of this review but if the hotel really wants to keep him, the hotel should consider send him to an anger management course. I don't know if this guy is always like this or just had a bad night and he took it on me. Nonetheless, I think no one should suffered what this guy did to me under any circumstance.

GGuest UserStayed for 1 nt. hotel is right at the end of the esplanade. Lovely views and sunset over the sea. On checking in we asked about a standard and a superior room, as we hadn’t precooked our visit, lady on reception with abit of effort could have sold us a superior room but when I asked if we could see both rooms she said not as she was alone on reception ( in other hotels we have been given a key to look ourselves) in the past. Standard sea view room was very nice, however neither did she recommend we needed to book to eat in the restaurant, and being a Monday evening we didn’t think it would be necessary, we were wrong, only 1 chef on so couldn’t eat there. Decided to walk into town to eat, definately go the road route, hotel suggested a back way by the harbour, not a good plan, after a long dark explore the exit was blocked, so stick to the road. Checked out in the morning and had a lovely breakfast in the old town at a beautiful bakers shop, better than 25€ ea at the hotel. Would stay again if visiting the beautiful den Haag beaches.

The price is relatively inexpensive. It is only a few minutes away from the train station. The surrounding environment is very good. It not only has beautiful buildings but also many restaurants and supermarkets. You can reach most attractions on foot. The rooms are spacious and bright, the design is trendy and reasonable, and the a**osphere is full of excitement. It was so reassuring that I even sat down and tasted a dinner with great satisfaction.
I arrived at the hotel in the morning. I originally planned to store my luggage and then go out for fun. Unexpectedly, the receptionist asked me to check in several hours early. I am happy and grateful!

GGuest UserGreat hotel, nice employee, fantastic service, phenomenal experience. I stayed there with a friend for a week, each day we left the hotel at the morning/noon before 11 am. Afterwards we got a cleaned room with new bathtubs and also the kitchen was refilled. The personal was cool. Would like to stay a bit longer

GGuest UserThis modern hotel has a split personality. Some elements rate 5 star some 0 or minus. My wife and I stayed for three nights in their only disabled access room in June, it costs about 200 euros per night excluding breakfast. We were delayed arriving so didn't check in until around 2300. Check in staff were very good and we went up to our room. It had been made up (maybe?) but not cleaned! Excretia in the toilet bowl, bits of second hand toothpaste in the sink (which was blocked up). Complained to the night porter who came up to the room just after midnight as was genuinely embarrassed. But, the hotel was full and this was the only accessable room in the hotel! The room was given a quick clean to get us through the night. The following morning met by the very good manager who again apologised cancelled the nights charge from the bill (we paid in advanced) and said he would rectify the situation. He (Jimmy) was ashamed and seemed quite frankly shocked. We went out for the day and came back to a very clean room. On our 2nd and final full day the room was not made up at all, beds not made, no towels no toilet roll coffee etc. Again complained to the two very nice young women on reception who were very nice and very apologetic. It was our last night and were given a free (and very good breakfast). Serving manager and staff could not have been more helpful. So, great location, really great staff, great breakfast, awful, awful housekeeping (apparently sub contracted out). Should you stay in the Mercure Den Hague? You choose! Incidently, I said I was going to put a review out and Jimmy the manager said ” You must be truthful”.

GGuest UserNeat and clean hotel in a great location within walking distance of the center. And close to The Hague Hollands Spoor station, so Scheveningen, Madurodam and surrounding places are easy to reach by tram or train.
Spacious and clean rooms. Bathroom is a bit small, mini-sink with a clumsy shower curtain, but very clean.
Very large hotel and a bit of a maze but location and hygiene make up for that.
