Sofia Hotels with Airport Shuttle

A fine airport hotel So you have an early morning flight to catch at Sofia airport. This is a good place to stay overnight. They have a decent restaurant, the rooms are comfortable and they have a reliable shuttle service to the airport. I think that’s all you really need. The style is for young hip people, but if you’re old and not hip, it still works fine.

The elevator was under renovation, so it was quite difficult to go up the stairs to the 4th floor. The exterior was impressive and the room was spacious, but it was quite old. (The hallways were dark, the room smelled of cigarettes even though it was non-smoking, and there were small cockroaches walking around...) There is a station, supermarket, and drugstore nearby, so if location is important to you, this is a good choice.

the room was satisfactory at a whole, esp with the little balcony attached for a small laundry zone, electric water kettle for making hot tea, a small refrigerator for use, a big plastic bucket in bathroom and hair dryer provided. The lightings are bright enough. TV also offered a few channels. if a microwave or a small oven could be provided by the hotel for customers reheating their takeaway food or bread, alongside with a mini size folderable tea table, they would definitely earn an extra score by all customers.

The room was very comfortable and warm, with heaters and A.C. provided. Towels and bottled water were also available. The common areas had free coffee, tea, snacks, and cozy seating, making it feel like home. The location near the city center was perfect for exploring. Highly recommend!

The Rila Hotel is an old hotel with old facilities, shoe box size elevators but in a very central part of the town near to everything. Our first night we stayed in a standard small room ( I think it cost $46 maybe $50 with taxes etc )that was not satisfactory. The next day for $10 - $12 per day upgrade we moved into a double size spacious/suite room with 2 balconies !! Very nice to sit out on the balcony with the afternoon setting sun and to wash out a few cloth items and let the sun dry them. Neither of the rooms had shower curtains in the bathrooms. When i enquired about this I was told this was done because of covid. Hhmmm not sure how a shower curtain has any bearing on covid ? We stayed a total of 7 nights and only once, after I called down to the front desk, did a chamer maid come up and take out the garbage and change the towels. To be fair my girlfriend has a habit of spreading all her things all over the 2 rooms so we hesitated to make a fuss. I can imagine a maid being shocked to walk in and not know what to do in all the mess. Breakfast cost extra and was only ok but enough to start the day. There was a large flat screen TV which we never turned on, there was no safe deposit box in the room but we were able to leave our valuables downstairs at the front desk. There are other hotels also nearby that are probably more renovated and modern and most likely cost a little more. On our next trip we most likely will see about other options. The staff was friendly and helpful. I guess it depends on what your expectations are but for us it worked.

The hotel is in a great location and has a lot of space. But I don't understand why it's so stuffy inside... It's already 14 degrees outside at night, but the thermometer in the bathroom still shows 30 degrees. I opened the window and turned the air conditioner to 15 degrees, but sleeping on the bed was still like sleeping on a kang...

The hotel is a little inconvenient for people without a car. The hotel is about 300 meters away from the subway terminal, but when I went to the subway station at 5 pm, I felt that there were few people inside and was a little scared. Opposite is Metro, but the front desk told me that I could not shop there without a membership card. I could only eat in the hotel restaurant, which tasted average but was quite expensive. I had to travel early the next day, and the hotel prepared breakfast bags, which were very good.

Located in the city centre, the hotel is very convenient for shopping and tourism. Breakfast has fresh salmon, Bulgarian real estate hive, tastes very sweet, the hotel provides airport pick-up service, 7 euros for one person

The room was clean and comfortable, with a large floor-to-ceiling window to enjoy the outside view. Very quiet at night, there are various restaurants downstairs, very convenient. It is the most cost-effective hotel I have ever stayed in Sofia.

The room is quiet, clean and centrally located. The room is on a low floor and the view is average. I didn’t pay much attention to the breakfast. The room is spacious and has floor-to-ceiling windows. The accommodation is pretty good.
