"This was my second time at Hemus , staff were extremely friendly and rooms were nice as always, it’s a 4 star hotel with slightly dated fitments so pls manage expectations but it’s good value for money and great connections to city center. Highly recommend for value for money"

"The hotel is close to the airport. There is own parking area where you can leave your car for travelling period at a cheaper price vs airport parking . And they organise transfer to the airport and back."

"The hotel is very close to the airport and has a shuttle bus, which is very convenient. It was newly opened this year and has complete facilities. It is very new. The room layout is reasonable, spacious and bright. The breakfast has a rich variety and the service is warm and thoughtful. There is a commercial center around it. A taxi is less than 10 euros. It is convenient for eating and shopping. There is an Asian restaurant and a supermarket on the second floor below ground."

"The hotel is in a great location and has a lot of space. But I don't understand why it's so stuffy inside... It's already 14 degrees outside at night, but the thermometer in the bathroom still shows 30 degrees. I opened the window and turned the air conditioner to 15 degrees, but sleeping on the bed was still like sleeping on a kang..."

"Wonderful hotel just a few steps from the center. The hotel has a bar (entertainment every night) and a dining area and an art gallery. Courteous and friendly staff. Large room equipped with every comfort. Highly recommended, we couldn't have chosen a better location! Top"

"We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights on our way to Romania Pros- the hotel is in a great location. Quiet leafy street, 500 meters to main bus and train terminal, approx 20 min walk to Vitosha boulevard - the room itself is quite nice, the TV has English channels, the balcony was an unexpected plus - the breakfast provided is adequate, though you need to go to an adjacent hotel - the staff were friendly and did their best to help Cons- the bed was not made up, they provided a single bed sheet for a queen sized bed. There was only one glass for 2 people. The quilt in the cupboard was filthy, it had no cover and we couldn’t use it - the mattress has no protector and is too soft. It might suit some but it is too soft for a hotel mattress - I tried to call reception to ask them for another sheet, a clean quilt and a glass. No one answered the phone. (I was told the next day that the phone is broken ). I went downstairs to find someone but no one was there or answered the bell on the desk. The next day I was told that the receptionist had to cover two hotels so is not always there . Please take note if you are arriving late to the hotel-there May be non one to check you in They are also very strict on check in times. If you want an earlier check in time than 2 pm you need to pay for it Overall the hotel is decent. If there had have been someone at reception all the issues would have been quickly resolved The main complaint is the cleaning and maintenance of rooms"

"The attitude of the receptionist was unprofessional, rude and unacceptable. For one hour, the whole hotel didn’t know how to charge my credit card, as their credit card machine doesn’t follow EU rules for 3D security, thus jeopardising clients’ private data. I wasted a full hour on the phone with my bank, only to find out that the hotel doesn’t follow rules on how to securely handle credit card data. The management kept telling me that it’s my fault, despite the fact I never before have had problems with card payments before. Breakfast food was decent, with a choice between a couple of set menus. The hotel was clean, rooms were quiet, and it was situated and in a convenient location, within 3-4 minutes from the nearest metro station. Some of the photos on their site are dated, as the interior is different now."
