👉👎 Difference:
1. Poor hygiene:
There was someone else's wet bath towel hanging behind the door! You have to take it to the front desk in person and inform them. In addition, the bed seemed to have not been changed. There were 2 strands of other people's hair on the pillow, at least 5 strands of other people's hair on the quilt, and another strand of hair stuck between the wall and the mattress! Later, I asked the front desk for a second pillow, which had another piece of someone else's hair on it.
2. The issue of selling a house is illogical:
The front desk said that there was only one king-size room with a squat toilet left, otherwise I had to pay extra to get a king-size room with a toilet. We said that we had estimated and paid online for the room with a toilet according to the pictures [standard double room 7-9 square meters]. If it was a squat toilet, we would not have booked it at all! Finally, the front desk asked the two of us to compromise and move to a lower level/cheaper [cozy single room (1 single bed) 4-5 square meters], which was very crowded! The bed is barely big enough for two people, but as a guest I had to go to the front desk to get an extra pillow. The interior space is very small and we have trouble placing our luggage.
To be honest, it is not the guest’s fault if the front desk cannot arrange the room the guest has booked! The front desk should have found a way to handle the situation or arranged to transfer the guest to another similar room instead of asking the guest to pay for an upgrade or downgrading the room to a lower quality room at the rate they had already paid. This is not a matter of being a hotel or guesthouse (I've stayed at other guesthouses and the front desk handled it proactively). Why can’t you put yourself in other people’s shoes? To use an analogy: Who is willing to pay $100 and take out something worth $60?
Alas... plus the overall hygiene problem, so bad 👎👎👎
3. Poor sound insulation, very noisy outside the room
4. There were two pairs of rubber slippers at the end of the bed. They were very old and dirty, like those used by beggars in the street market, which made the room look very bad. In fact, it would be better to discard it.
5. I had to go to the front desk to borrow a hair dryer, but was asked whether I wanted to use it that evening or the next morning. It felt strange. We arrived at 9pm and checked out at 8am the next morning, so we were in a hurry.
6. Public spaces are not clean
=============
👉👍Good:
1. The front desk was friendly (although the logic of the room arrangement was really problematic)
2. After asking the front desk, I got disposable slippers.
3. There are restaurants nearby
