The hotel is set in a picturesque location, perched above the surrounding landscape and offering stunning views that enhance the overall experience. However, accessing the hotel can be somewhat tricky; it's advisable to arrange a pickup from either the South or North gate to navigate the terrain more easily. Guests may find the stone walkway quite challenging when transporting luggage. On a brighter note, the service provided is exceptional, and the room is not only well-equipped but also exudes comfort and cleanliness, making for a delightful stay.

Everything is amazing but plese have more sign for the hotel , when we walk to lobby it show art hotel and make us confuse , we walk a lot to find lobby , we also walk to hotel area and we walk back to art hotel lobby again and finally we just know it is same Art hotel lobby is phonix hakka hotel

This hotel is a hidden gem! the location is very nice and close to everything in this small beautiful town. Right in front of the building is a local canal and you will find the hotel's restaurant where you can have breakfast in the morning and buy a local style skewers at night. The room itself is sparkingly clean, albeit a minor toilet screen door's seal damage that needs repair. If you come as a family with your kids, the private hot spring may not be that private because there was no door to give you privacy from you kids! (only Chinese pattern partition screen door). Apart from that everything was in very good order. The hotel staff was super friendly even though he could speak limited English. There was some confusion during check-in that I made a prepay via credit card over Trip.com already but he miscommunicated and charged me again. He found out later on and hurry to my room to amend that and he said he feel deeply sorry for that misunderstanding. Later that night, he sent message through my WeChat that there is free milk offered before 10pm. While I got back to the receotion at 9pm asking for the milk for my daughter, the receptionist said I have to walk back to the restaurant in front to get it but my daughter did not feel like walking back so we said we were good and heading back to room to call it a day. About 10 minutes later, the same guy knock my door and came with 2 cups of hot milk! This is beyond my expectation :) and it was a heartfelt service I have never had before even from the hotel in Thailand, my country where the hospitality and service has been highly regarded. He also helped negotiate with the tricycle taxi from the Gankeng Town Gate to the Gangkeng station the next morning when I check out. I could understand a bit of Mandarin and I heard the taxi driver try to charge extra for my luggage but he asked the driver not to charge and he agreed. I regret that I did not ask for this hotel's staff name but he wears glasses, about 180cm tall and was driving the hotel's golf cart in my last photo here. I would like to say to him that you are the best! and keep up the great work ;) You will not disappoint anything at this hotel as it worth much more than what you paid for ;)

The staff are nice and accommodating. Rooms and beds are big and the design was nice. The location is great many restaurant and things can do around. We will definitely come back. I really love the place.

The hotel is located in a quiet area of the tourist spot and includes a free afternoon tea set.

The hotel staff are very polite and friendly. They called in advance to coordinate the pick up of luggage from the drop off point to the hotel room. The room is clean and well decorated which gives an ambience in tune with the ancient village

Good value for money. Everything’s is good and we are happy with the one night stay. Spacious, cozy and good style. Afternoon tea is a simple drink break while waiting for checkin. Breakfast is moderate but enough. Overall is good

really enjoyed the stay here at the hotel, it’s so worth it for the price. the room is huge, and maintained fairly well. room comes with free breakfast, afternoon tea and also includes a photo taking session. the value for the accommodation is really good, and the staffs were all really nice and accommodating!

There is no concierge or security gate at the hotel, which raises security issues. It is too easy for anyone to access the hotel via the stairs. Additionally, we do not have a mainland phone number, which made it difficult to arrange logistics since the hotel does not provide such services. We spent about 30 minutes at the front desk trying to get assistance. Furthermore, the hotel failed to provide complimentary shuttle bus service. Instead, we had to walk 5-10 minutes under the sun, carrying our luggage, to meet the driver at the town's entrance. Overall, I am not satisfied with the service and would not recommend this hotel to my friends.

Really enjoyed the trip! Worth to stay in Gankeng Ancient Town for a night to enjoy both the day and night scenery. Will stay here again next time as service was excellent and ease of getting help.

We had a wonderful weekend stay here, with a spacious, comfortable room, friendly staff and plenty to do. Extremely close to food and beverage, street food and restaurants. The hotel provided a fantastic Hanfu dress up experience with a great photographer. I’m d recommended staying here for a couple of nights for a relaxing and convenient escape from reality.
