I love this little place. Each room is an individual villas / rooms with its own bathroom. Standing on its own with lots of space between each villas. It feels as if we are on our own with no one next to us but the wide open skies. The property is nestled in the nature amongst the local farmers and we got to experience a milking a cow on one of the home farmers backyard. My girls 10 & 12 thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We got to bring the milk back to the property and the staff helped us to treat the milk before serving it to us for consumption. It was a shame that we are a month too early for the mushroom picking experience (Shangri-La being on a higher altitude) My girls roamed the "neighbourhood" outside the property with their walkie talkies and were just playing with the neighbours / farmers chicken , cows, lambs and horses. They had a ball. Within the property itself, there are 3 dogs who will visit you at your villa or at the reception / dining area (when food is served) at all times of the day. They are so friendly and my girls thoroughly enjoyed their company. There is also a horse on the property who roams around freely. The staff is so accommodating to our needs. The property is about 20 mins out from city centre and we can organise a driver with the property to pick us up and drop us off. We were driven by the owner of the property on multiple occasions and always just text them about 30-1 hour in advance (depending on where we are). It was nice to have that option. sometimes it's easier to have a familiar face and because we spoke mandarin, it was also nice to be able to converse with the same person . Breakfast was scrumptious in my opinion and we get an option of noodles or rice porridge and condiments to go with. You can request for dinner as well and they will ask you during the day etc. although wild mushroom hot pot (their speciality in the area) needs to be prepared one day in advance. It is a very special place and as we were leaving the owner is installing new furniture to the rooms and also a new structure for an outdoor BBQ space. This is a very special place and i think we will come back again very soon!!

I loved the charm and quiet atmosphere. The cottage was clean and cozy and I really liked waking up seeing cows graze in the pasture. When I fell sick due to altitude sickness the boss took me to the hospital and helped me through the whole process. I highly recommend staying here in Shangri La. The food was delicious and it’s away from all the busy noise of the main town. You can even do a little hiking from this homestay. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

My kids love this place. They were very happy with the open space and enjoyed hanging out with the doggies. There were alot of wildflowers in the compound too. The room was big, spacious and clean. The beds come with electrical blankets, so it wasn't cold when we were sleeping. Breakfast was the same everyday, but it's OK.

The weather outside is very cold, and the heater is not working.After we checked in, nearly everyone got sick.

Pros: Helpful owner which even drop us off at station and allow us to leave luggage at his other inn. Left stuff behind and they help to courier it to us. Herbal footpath soak was provided, including one time use plastic for the tub. Cute room, exactly same as trip photos. Could be cons for ppl who are afraid of dogs but the dogs were super friendly and cute, that came running to gate to welcome us. Help to heat up food that we brought. Breakfast was good. Cons Location whereby you need a car to get to. Only two restaurants deliver food there. And if you want order dinner from them, have to inform in advance. Wasn’t aware and did not order in advance but they had kindly allow to order hotpot (which honestly was abit pricey). So please prepare food before heading there. Will definitely go again if I were to go Shangrila as the only con was the location which is already stated on the listing.

What an absolute beautiful please, everything was amazing from the room to the view. Peaceful and quiet. Yang was super friendly and so helpful. I loved my stay here and will definitely be back!

A place to breathe the purest air, I love the grass and the quietness and beauty. There are three greedy dogs who welcome and ask for food. They are very friendly. The room and camping facilities are complete. There is a horse eating grass in front of the window. It is a good experience for an adult to travel in seclusion.

It's perfect for a relaxing vacation. The manor is in a large grassland. The breakfast is rich and unique. Zhuoma, who received us, is also enthusiastic and patient! There are also 3 cute dogs, who are as enthusiastic as three children. I lie on the bed to watch the sunrise early in the morning and drink tea and rest in the warm room at night. It's really extremely comfortable and interesting. After staying in the city for a long time, it's really comfortable to live in the mountains when I have time!

Facilities: There are electric blankets, electric toilets, hair dryers, and foot baths. The stay is very comfortable. Hygiene: Cleaned very cleanly and the bedding is very comfortable. Environment: You can see the beautiful scenery in the room. Service: The ladies at the front desk are very good and helped to add a quilt. Thank you. Food: Breakfast is very rich. I like noodles the most. It's delicious.

It is a pet-friendly hotel. There are three cute dogs in the yard. The environment is very beautiful. It is quiet at night. No one is noisy. The sleep quality is much better than in the ancient city. The ladies at the front desk are very enthusiastic and help with luggage. The breakfast is also delicious. It was very comfortable to stay here for two days. I will come again next time.

It's super nice. When we arrived at the manor, there were young ladies and dogs at the door to greet us. It was very ceremonial. The yak hotpot we had for dinner was really a romantic meal. Of course, the breakfast was also delicious (barley cakes and noodles were good). The room was large. Each room was separated by a distance and was very private. All the equipment in the room was very high-end: the shower gel smelled good, there was a foot bath, a facial mask, a Dyson hair dryer, and the quality of the sound system was also very good (playing songs at night with the forest feeling was amazing). The toilet and mattress were all heated, and the oxygen supply machine was also very convenient. It can be seen that the owner of the house was very attentive to every detail, and any utensils and food were exquisite. There were also free ******* costumes and clothes that you could wear and take pictures yourself if you liked. When we arrived at the ancient city, the owner came to pick us up and send us to the famous hostel. Thank you

The hotel contacted us the day before to arrange the room, and upgraded to a single-family bed for free! It was super comfortable, and the room also had floor heating, so I slept very peacefully. I went out to see nature directly, and was lucky enough to see a rainbow!
