Shangri-La Banxia Time Homestay (Dukezong Ancient City Branch) Reviews

Very Good Location - Within Dukezong ancient and minutes from the main attractions within. The boss and lady boss are very friendly people who you can chat with and they even offer timely pickup/drops to the train station/airport. The loft room was clean and cozy but there is bar nearby with music, so to consider if you are an early sleeper. The walls are also on the thinner side, hence to consider as well. However, for me it wasn’t an issue and it was a comfortable stay.

It was a pleasure stay. The owner gave free ride for pick up and drop off to Shangri-La railway. The owner is so kind I wish I could speak their language. The hotel is so pretty and comfortable. You can see the big temple view from outside and inside the hotel. The room is so large and bed is so comfy. I am not so sure it was so cold but with the blanket I feel the warmth. It has oxygen concentrator for you if you have acute motion sickness. Lastly the owner found me an electric car (scooter) so that I can go to Heidou Cafe, Yila Grassland and Napa Lake. He even helped me to give exact location to those attractions. The hotel is so walkable to the big Buddha Temple. I recommend for those who come with family it is good place to stay.

The hotel provide free pickup service from the railway train. It was a 100/100 as they got bidet 😭. It was very near to the dukezong ancient town and really nearby to a halal restaurant.

I travel with my husband and my teenager son and daughter. Stay here really feels like home. The owners (husband and wife) who take care of this homestay are really friendly and kind. They even help to drop us at the airport. The location is very good, in the middle of Dukezong Ancient town. Everything is around this homestay. We surely will stay here if we visit Shangri-La again. The service from owner and son its very good. suppose my booking only have one pickup@drop off station but the owner gladly assist me.there also help my wife not well with AMS..got a few muslim restaturant nearby. will stay there if visit shangri-la again.

This is the most caring hotel i ever go, they treat you like vip ❤️❤️❤️ and muslim restaurant so near, the hotel set up charted car for us to napahai lake, they give direction to go sunfeng street.

Highly recommended this homestay. The room is tastefully designed , spacious and comfortable. It even has a smart toilet. Felt like home away from home. The owner, wife and their son are all very helpful, helping us arrange our trip, transportation etc. They will make sure that you got a good deal and give good advice on planning our trip. It is also at a very convenient location to visit other attraction areas, shops and restaurants. We extended another day after a five night stay because we love the place too much and we wanted to have a relaxing day just to fully enjoy the place. The owner upgraded us to an even bigger room with a view to the temple at Guishan park. The owner also picked us up from the Dukezong Ancient town when we arrived and got up early to send us to the train station when we checked out. Best homestay we had this far. 非常推荐这个客棧.老板和家人都非常親切,给予我们的旅程很好的建议和幫助. 房间很舒适宽敞, 还有智能厕所. 老板除了在我们低达时在古鎮附近接我们,还在我们退房后特意早起送我们去火车站. 客棧也很方便, 附近有便利店,商店和不錯的餐厅,也很方便去附近的景点.房间和房的廊庁也可以看见大佛寺.

The hotel location is very good and the hosts are very friendly and helpful to assist us in planning our itinerary. They also provide free pick up on arrival and departure. We felt very comfortable and relaxed in this accommodation. Strongly recommend this hotel in Shangrila.

we really love this place. the vibes. it located at the ancient town of shangri-la. The staff here is so nice and treat us with smile and help with everything we need. The room is also very comfy. Love everything!

I love this place. Highly recommended. The place is 5 mins walk from the Shangrila Old town. It located near to the main road and it easy to take Didi. It also located 3 minutes walk to halal restaurant. The owner of this guesthouse is a very helpful family. There are very resourceful and always give info and suggestion about the place. The owner communicated with me via wechat and really welcomed us there. He offered me a free pick up from Shangrila Railway Station and upgraded our room. We were so happy the room is very big amd cozy , it was so cold at night but there were an electric heater blanket. They also offered unlimited flow of bottle water. The owner’s wife also helped us to choose a pick up and drop off location for our Didi. Overall it was the best hotel i ever stayed in Shangrila Yunnan. 5 stars hospitality.

We booked for 3 nights..the owner did beyond our expectation, they messaged us and offered a pick-up service. They were prompted for our questions. They were kind and ready to help. When we were checking out, they delivered us to the train station. Thank for the warm welcoming us, we'll never forget.

I had a truly memorable stay at this hotel, thanks to the exceptional service provided by the staff eventhough they can’t speak English but they tried their level best to communicate via wechat and translate.From the moment I arrived, they went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of. What really stood out was how they helped arrange transportation for my trip to Lijiang and even coordinated my transfer for the Balagezong tour. On the day of my trip to Balagezong,the staff personally sent me to the nearest bus station by motorcycle to make sure I caught the right bus on time—something I never expected, but deeply appreciated. This level of care and attention made my journey smooth and stress-free. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and cozy, but it’s the warm and genuinely helpful service that made it special. Highly recommended for anyone traveling in the area who values hospitality that comes from the heart. for muslim friends, few step from hotel got 1 muslim restaurant nearby
