In order to take the elderly at home to watch the fireworks show, I specially booked a river view room. The drone + fireworks show was very enjoyable. Outside the window is the Wusong International Cruise Terminal. On the morning of May Day, the nearby Baoyang Road Pier was also very busy. It was very pleasant to take the elderly to walk along the river, blow the wind, and bask in the sun. The hotel is next to the Sea World, with convenient parking. There are many attractions inside and outside the mall, and there are many restaurants. I had lunch at Meilinhui, which is the former Meilin Pavilion. The price is a little expensive, but the taste is very good and worth the money. The hotel facilities are very new and the service is thoughtful. I need an extra set of toiletries, so I called the customer service number. The room attendant and the robot waiter delivered it at the same time, which was very interesting. The hotel waiters are always smiling and polite, giving people a sense of home.
Because of the cruise, we chose TUI Blue, which was very close to the port. The front desk also upgraded us to a sea view room, so we could see the cruise we were going to take the next day. The group-purchased meals in the store were also very affordable and delicious. The next day, there was a special car to take us to the port, which was one of the reasons for choosing to stay here. The only shortcoming was that there was no service staff to help us with our luggage when we got off the car, because we brought large boxes on the cruise, and I hope this can be improved later.
One of the best hotels I've stayed in..the service is impeccable and the rooms are beautiful clean and can't hear the neighbors. Checking in took like 5 minutes and the guy(sorry I didn't get his name) spoke good English and was very professional.

Had a great stay at JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai at Tomorrow Square! Although the hotel isn’t new but it’s well maintained. All the staff are friendly and greet politely. Margarita welcomed me at the front desk and arranged the room type that I prefer to stay at, which was very nice and made me feel happy. I also got a cute fruit plate which much appreciated. I’ll return next time and recommend this hotel to friends that look for a nice place to stay in central Shanghai.

Location, location, location. Close to everything, like… EVERYTHING. I don’t think you can get a better location than this one in Shanghai.
About hotel: this feels premium, it’s old, you can feel the history in this place, it’s actually an iconic place in Shanghai.
Room: when I entered in the room my first thought was “Nixon was here”, you’re just feeling like in a premium hotel from ‘70s. But there is also a big LCD, and the toilet is next gen, with leds and everything, opens itself when close by and so on.
Breakfast: has pretty much everything, asian and continental. Shanghai was my last place in China and after wandering in various places I was longing after a good continental breakfast; funny thing is that I started to prefer also Asian food in the morning lol; fish dumplings are really good here tbh.

**A Hidden Gem in People's Square – Exceptional Service & Cozy Charm!**
Opartment Hotel is an absolute gem in the heart of People’s Square! From the moment we arrived, the service was nothing short of exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home—so much so that they even provided dinner for our dog! That level of hospitality is rare and truly appreciated.
The hotel itself is located in a beautiful historical building, and while it’s newly renovated, it has so much charm and character. Every little detail, from the cozy interiors to the thoughtful amenities, makes it feel warm and inviting. You get the best of both worlds—modern comforts with a touch of old-world elegance.
And let’s talk about the location! Being in People’s Square means you’re right in the middle of everything, with easy access to the city's best sights, restaurants, and shopping. Whether you’re visiting for work or leisure, you can’t ask for a better spot.
Highly recommend Opartment Hotel if you’re looking for a unique, comfortable, and incredibly welcoming place to stay in Shanghai!

Very central hotel close to shopping malls, the subway and the Bund. Room was perfect; clean spacious and had a great view from our cute balcony. The service was ok. The staff did their job but we don’t feel anyone went ‘above and beyond’ like they do in other hotels that we have stayed at (just a personal opinion and perhaps we have been spoilt in other locations). Afternoon tea was good. Breakfast was so so but they did make a bowl of noodles.

My second time stay here(and got the same room again) main reason why I came back in the amazing location. Thanks for the early check-in and let me switch to a room with washing machine. Well done for change of the staff smoking at the front desk. Cleaning needs a bit of work (maybe vacuum the room, a few super long hair found in the room). I would stay here again and have recommended this to my friends. Love to see some category of smoke free rooms.

Old world charm in a city that never disappoints (except the Blues and Jazz Club was closed for the Spring holiday). However, there was a shortage of power points for charging devices in the room, and bathroom was 'old style', but in all it was comfortable, convenient, well priced, easy to find, good location and pleasant. It smelled really nice too!
