Top 5-Star Hotels in Seoul

Location is perfect. Staff at concierge is great, speaks English and helpful. That’s about it. For a hotel charging 5* pricing, the quality of the service and management of hotel can be improved in many areas. For me, the hotel did not respond to any of the emails before my stay causing some level of uncertainty for me. Information during check in was unclear and caused misunderstanding. Pool is closed for cleaning from 6-7pm. Why during prime hour?! Staff chased people out of the shower room at 6pm sharp, not allowing to take a quick shower. It’s totally off putting. Hotel room is spacious but dated. Oh pls bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. Not sure if it’s country’s policy or the hotel’s policy but again, am surprised by the lack of it in Westin. By now, I’m really regretting staying here.

The hotel is centrally located, which allowed for easy movement around the city. The staff have been extremely helpful and the service was of the highest quality, always smiling and eager to help. The rooms were consistently cleaned up daily and the hotel staff even assisted in setting us up with SIM cards to make navigation easy. The Plaza should be the number 1 option to stay in your travels to Seoul and quite possibly the best hotel we ever stayed in the world!!!

Best staying experience in Seoul ever over 50+ hotels in the city. Cozy environment, core location nx to Guanghwamun. Local supermarket opposite to hotel front door. All you need from FS concierge to travel through the city.

Travelled with parents (3 adults in total). Corner room was a good size, could fit a sofa bed comfortably. Mountain View was great with this room. However, always check what type of toilet you are getting. I stayed in the grand Hyatt a few days before and got a corner room on the 12th floor, which had a normal toilet (separate stalls for shower and toilet bowl). But for this instance, they allocated me a room on the 7th floor, without informing me that the toilet had an open shower (ie no shower doors; water spashes everywhere when one showers). It’s probably meant for handicap users, but it is inconvenient for older folks because the toilet gets wet everywhere and there is a high fall risk. Location of hotel is also quite inaccessible by public transport. Be prepared to take taxi most of the time (get a card from the front desk; some drivers could not understand my accent).

Mondrian Seoul Well decor is absolutely stunning. Check in was quick. Put us on 12th floor,as soon as we got off elevator strong dog urine smell. Like a wall that hits you! You see dog pee along the walls(I'll post pic). Room on smaller side,mattress is comfy and soft. 4 pillows, bathroom had pee stains along the walls and corners, and it did smell like urine (I'll post pic).Shower head was broken had to ask for it to be replaced.Location is OK,15min walk to Itaewon road where all the restaurants & bars and Subway,bus stop right outside so not too bad. Taxis are pretty cheap in Seoul. Never ordered room service since restraints all around. Tried their sauna 3000₩ per person. Nothing special,waste of $$$. Indoor pool is pretty. Outdoor pool is nice as well. Never made it to rooftop. Would I say again,most likely not. Would prob stay somewhere more central like Financial district.

Good location, and there are many restaurants nearby. There is a shuttle bus stop of Incheon airport in front of the hotel. It's very handy that there is a washing machine/dryer in the room. However, it is a pain in the **** that you have to book to use the pool, and you can only book once a day per room. A couple won't always go swimming at the same time. There are only two lifts in the hotel room tower. You have to be patient. The perfume in the lobby was a bit pungent.

Conrad Seoul is located in the Yeouido area near the Han River and IFC Mall. It was a luxurious stay and the service was generally pleasant, with above average lounge offerings. The biggest disappointment was that they don’t give out Conrad bears and ducks and instead sell them at the gift shop, which comes across as a little stingy.

If you have the budget, highly recommend visiting the Shilla in Seoul. The service was excellent and the staff is thoughtful and professional. Only nitpick is the location is not as convenient as some other hotels, but you may want to spend most of the time on property anyway (there is a connected shilla duty free if you are in a spending mood) Pro tip: their restaurants are often booked so be sure to book in advance. Check their pastry shop for limited time items. Check out their bingsu and parfait creations in the library.

The location of the hotel is very convenient especially with the Yongsan station being right next to it. You can easily get around Seoul or just spend your time in Yongsan with shopping and going to cafes and restaurants. The room is nice and spacious, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Also you have really nice views from the rooms, either looking at Yeouido or Namsan.

Over the last two years, I stayed probably about two or three weeks in total at the Imperial Palace in Itaewon. I highly recommend it to anybody looking for a nice hotel in Itaewon, Seoul! During the heights of the pandemic as well as during more normal times, the service at the hotel was always outstanding. Rooms are large, fairly quiet, modernly furnished, spotlessly clean and come with super comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. I very much loved the view from the rooms overlooking the street. There's a coffee machine in each room and if you run out of capsules, you can buy more at the lobby. Internet is great and the workspace is okayish, but not the kind of setting in which you'd like to work for hours. Go to a coffee shop instead. There are countless coffee shops, restaurants, bars and convenience stores within walking distance. Itaewon Metro Station is only a few minutes walk away. Staff was always super friendly and professional and speaks perfect English.
