The location in Hongdae is ideal, close to the shops, the RYSE, there’s a convenience store and Kyochon nearby. The reception was fast and friendly and they even gave me a room upgrade. The room was bi-level and spacious, especially the bedroom area. The hotel is very aesthetic, with the brick themed lobby. I just feel the toilet and bath configuration went too far on the aesthetics though. The sink was too high while the counter was too low it was awkward to use. Even if I wanted to use the bathtub, I skipped it because there are no handrails to safely come up when you’re wet. I ended up just soaking my feet. The Japanese style toilet is very convenient. I like the coffee counter where you can see the Seoul skyline while having coffee. The other table and chair set is also awkward as the table is too low, I think it’s meant to use when you are squatting on the floor and not to be paired with the lounge chair as you will be hunched down the whole tome. I don’t get the design rationale really. The bed is so comfortable though, it’s guaranteed to give you a good night’s sleep.

For a cool and convenient stay in Seoul, 9 Brick Hotel is a fantastic choice. It's located right in the heart of Hongdae, one of the city's most vibrant and energetic neighborhoods. You couldn't ask for a better spot. The hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the main subway station, making it super easy to get around the city and to the airport. Step outside, and you're immediately surrounded by endless shopping, delicious food, and exciting nightlife. I even went for morning runs as it was close to the river, during our stay. The hotel itself has a really cool, industrial-chic vibe with its signature brick walls. It feels trendy and modern, offering a unique alternative to standard hotels. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the friendly staff makes you feel right at home. If you want a fun, stylish, and perfectly placed base for your Seoul adventure, 9 Brick Hotel is the spot.

Very centrally located, with great shopping and food around. The room is very clean and modern. The front desk and entrance is very nice and decorated with chandelier, front desk staffs are also very nice and helpful.

It is very near to Hongdae street and the metro

Anyone want a place ideal to be close to Hongdae street. This is the property. My only issue is teh 10am check out is a gimmick. The standard check out is 12 noon, but they use 10 am and you can purchase extra hours depending on availability.

This was our first visit to South Korea and we are so glad we stayed at this hotel! Great location, everything you need is close at hand and there is a direct bus (#6002) from the airport straight to the hotel!

First time staying there. It’s a bit further down from RYSE hotel, with a local supermart diagonally opposite Nine Bricks Hotel, and actually very near to the airport limousine bus drop-off/pick-up.

Location was very convenient with easy access to both train and bus stations. Extremely near to Hongdae street as well with lots of convenience stores nearby. Girlfriend fell sick and we managed to find a clinic nearby as well. Overall a very good location. Hotel room was spacious and the bathtub area was very unique and cool.

Central in the university area, surrounded by bars and small restaurants, good rooms clean and with decent space and good bed and bathroom. Friendly staff. Good price for what you get.

This is my second time staying here and it has become my go-to when visiting Seoul. -Location is very convenient, near Hongdae Station, with restaurants and convenient stores nearby; -Staff (both at the counter and when communicating through e-mail) are polite, friendly and speak good English; -Room is spacious with ample amenities provided; -TV supports OTT, wi-fi works well. The lighting both at front desk and in the rooms are on the dim side, which I don't mind much, but may be a problem if you plan to read or work during your stay.

Service - Excellent. The receptionists can speak English well, polite and helpful. Even the housekeepers aunties were very nice and friendly :) A few instances to share: email communications on luggage storage prior to my check in date and the availability of iron and board - they replied in a nice manner and promptly. Over the counter, they helped us to check and ensured the places we wanted to visit (Chuseok Holidays) were opened before heading there. Room - Good size. Clean. Interior decor for each rooms is different I believe (we booked 2 rooms). We didn't have much view as we were allocated at a lower level which were totally fine with us. A good selection of TV channels. Location - Good. A small supermarket, a few convenient shops, cafes and eateries are just nearby. Hongdae Shopping street is just a 3-5 minute walk away. Hongik University Station Exit 9 is about 6 minutes walk. Airport bus stop (Bus 6002) is just a 2 minute walk. The only feedback I have for this hotel is the cups - hoping they could use real cups instead of paper cups.

If you're looking for a hotel with a unique design and a convenient location, 9 Brick Hotel is definitely worth considering. It's not your typical hotel experience, and that's precisely what I liked about it. It offered a modern, comfortable stay in a stylish setting, making it a memorable part of my trip.
