I booked a two bedroom king suite at Harmony Suites, paying a premium rate. It clearly stated that it slept 4 and included free breakfast. When my wife a two teenagers arrived, I was informed that the room was for 2 and my two children would be charged for the stay plus an additional charge of $15 each for the “free” breakfast. This cost me $80 additional for the night, on top of the premium rate. This was nothing more than a money grab for a hotel and breakfast that was far from what was paid. So, Harmony Suites…enjoy the cash because it won’t happen again. Unsuspecting tourists may be more your speed.

I showed up to check in around 11:30 pm after a family member joining me was delayed several hours into Newark. Upon arrival, we were told we did not have a reservation. Later, it was confirmed that the hotel had cancelled our reservation due to overbooking the hotel. I had booked in October and, apparently, the booking had been cancelled in November though we were never notified. Imagine our surprise having travelled for hours and learning that we did not have a hotel at nearly midnight in one of the busiest (and most expensive) times to travel to the area. The staff were absolutely unhelpful and unapologetic. I would never chance another booking at this hotel. They probably resold my room for double what I originally paid, and I was forced to shoulder the burden. Luckily, we were able to find a much nicer hotel near Times Square.

La experiencia en este hotel fue grandiosa, comenzando por la ubicación, a tan solo 10 minutos de Manhattan en el autobús que te deja casi en la puerta del lugar. La relación costo beneficio es muy buena considerando que está en NJ justo enfrente de Nueva York y tan solo por el hecho de que los hoteles en Manhattan son excesivamente caros. El personal es muy amable, desde la gente de recepción hasta los del restaurante, todos te atienden y tratan muy bien. Las habitaciones son suites espaciosas con área separada de sala y TV, cocineta y baño y habitación muy amplios. El desayuno incluido es completo estilo americano, con fruta, yogurt, tocino, huevos, bebidas frías y calientes, carne y nuggets, cereales, waffles y demás. También hay un gym y una alberca techada y climatizada, lo cual es un plus. Si bien es cierto que el mobiliario es un poco viejo la verdad es que el mantenimiento es muy bueno y eso ayuda a disfrutar la estancia. Altamente recomendable!!

This place was clean but is a bit dated. Super convenient for the convention center which is steps away. The heat/AC vent was crazy loud like a hand blower in a bathroom. It made it hard to sleep since our vent was close to the bed. By far, this was our biggest issue. Also, my partner and I both like to have our phones charging on the bedside night tables but couldn't since there was no ports or outlets on one side of the bed (there was a lamp but was a wall attached unit). Breakfast was OK. It was my first time seeing chicken nuggets as a breakfast option. Muffins were cold. Bagels seems pretty blah for being so close to the bagel capital of the world. On the plus side, the did do custom omelettes. I would not stay here again.

Geräumige und hervorragend ausgestattete Zimmer mit großen, äußerst bequemen Betten. Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet eine reichhaltige und köstliche Auswahl. Die großzügige Lobby ist mit gemütlichen Sesseln ausgestattet. Eine Bushaltestelle befindet sich direkt neben dem Hotel, und mit dem Bus 320 erreicht man Manhattan in etwa 20 Minuten; ein Ticket kostet 4,85$. New York ist extrem teuer, hier fanden wir ein Zimmer zu einem vernünftigen Preis. Verbesserungspotenzial: Der Pool ist klein, veraltet und nicht beheizt, außerdem gibt es dort keine Duschen.
