The Saratoga Hilton
4/594 Reviews
This property has been going downhill for years, and is now close to rock bottom. The entrance is a mess, featuring damaged stuck doors that do not open automatically and a broken smokers' pole. The elevators are ancient and crash into you if you try to enter in less than two seconds. There is no coffee available in the spacious lobby; you have to pay for it behind the reception desk. The carpets are worn and stained. There are no amenity packets in the bathroom, so bring your own cotton balls and Q-tips. The finish on the furniture is worn. Absolutely zero charm.
Homewood Suites by Hilton Saratoga Springs
4.6/595 Reviews
I have always liked Homewood Suites, but my family’s experience here went over and above the others. It seems to be in the middle of nowhere but in fact is walking distance to SPAC and a very short drive from downtown restaurants, shops, etc. The lobby is impressive and you can catch a glimpse of the amazing patio upon walking in. The staff greeting us were very friendly, efficient, and professional. Our room was extremely spacious, with a full but compact kitchen and modern bathroom with the sink separated from the toilet and shower. The only thing I might change would be adding a door outside of the sink area. The TV was oddly placed next to one of the two queen beds but could be pulled out from the wall and tilted from side to side. There is an indoor pool and hot tub as well as a fitness room and small basketball court. The patio has a fire pit and plenty of chairs and a pavilion with grill. Free breakfast was better than expected. This hotel really has it all and when we stayed was very reasonable.
The Inn at Saratoga
4.4/5101 Reviews
This is a perfect country inn, the hardware is nothing to say, the restaurant, the bar, the parking lot, the fireplace in the hall burning, the retro high bed in the room is very comfortable, there are lots of interesting retro furniture, the lighting is gentle, the bathroom hair dryer and Coffee machines are available. The breakfast is very rich, with free hot water, tea and coffee all day, the staff is friendly and courteous, and the bar singer on Saturday nights brings the atmosphere to the next level. This is the best hotel I have ever seen in the United States. Great location, walking to all attractions, will definitely come back!
Hilton Garden Inn Saratoga Springs
3.9/597 Reviews
The hotel is newer than another Hilton in the same city. The room is clean and the facilities are new. The breakfast is very rich and delicious. There is a lot of parking. The location is also very convenient.
Courtyard Saratoga Springs
4.1/554 Reviews
I am surprised by how negative the three most recent reviews are, as my experience was much more pleasant. The front staff was attentive - it appeared as though they were onboarding a new staff member, but they were always supported by a more experienced staff member; the rooms and hallways were clean and well-cared for; and the lobby was in good shape. There were certainly elements of the room, the bathrooms, and the hotel that felt in need of a refresh - and (as I understand it) that is taking place now, as the hotel is going over a floor by floor renovation. Unbeknownst to me, I believe the 4th and 5th floors were being renovated, as I stayed on one of the first three floors - but there was never any signs of that between the 9pm and the 8am window that I was present. All in all, I have found - and continue to find - this hotel to be a great launching point to the wonderful town of Saratoga Springs. It is definitely walkable to downtown - though maybe on the far end of what some would consider walkable - and I look forward to staying there again and seeing the improvements upon their completion.
Union Gables Bed & Breakfast
4.7/541 Reviews
An historic mansion experience on the incredible Union Ave. The staff was freindly and helpful, allowed early checkin. Special shout out to Chad, the general manager. He clearly loves his job and offered tips on how he keeps the flower baskets overflowing. The garden is spectacularly kept. (Too bad it was raining on our arrival day. We were not able to use the pool. However, not many other air bnb's can offer this!) The included breakfast was a simple variety, enough to get you going for the day. I enjoyed oatmeal, fruit and egg on Day one, Eggs, bacon and potatoes on Day two. You can check out the waffles! Yum on the coffee. Lovely cake & pastries available in the lobby all day. We stayed in the carriage house with ample room for a family of 4-5. Two king bedrooms, 2 baths AND a kitchen plus sitting room for less than 2 rooms in the house. Be sure to stroll up and down Union Ave to take in the abundant magnificent Victorian architecture. If you're into horse racing, the famous Saratoga Race Track is a 4 minute walk, as well as their beautiful Museum. Visit Congress Park, a 3 minute walk. 6 minute easy access to Broadway, the main drag with so many choices of shops and restaurants, it would take weeks to properly visit all. We did a ”small plate” crawl and sampled several of the easily walkable in-town stops.
