Lovely hotel, elegantly decorated in traditional Italian style. We stayed in a triple room, which was large with lots of storage, equipped with tv, kettle, tea & coffee, fridge with water replenished daily, sofa, shower over bath. Room was spotlessly clean. Food is excellent, though there was quite a small selection compared to other AI hotels we've visited. Our balcony had a "garden view" not very attractive or private and was in need of a good clean, but we only used it for our morning cuppa to be honest. The rooms are a bit dark & dated, but the thick wallpaper (mentioned on previous reviews) i think is soundproof panels, ensuring a good nights sleep on comfy beds with no rude awakenings. The staff are fantastic from reception to house keeping & restaurant/bars. Great low key, grown up entertainment, happy to say no bingo or karaoke here . This hotel is adults only & is in a lovely quiet location, 10 minute walk to Sant Agnello town with its independent shops, bars & cafes & also the train station for Naples, Pompeii etc (turn right from hotel, then 1st left, go passed the church, down alleyway, across road, then follow sign. The hotel provides a free shuttle bus to Sorrento too. Lovely pool area with great sunbeds & nice views. We booked a last minute one week stay & wished we booked longer. We are hoping to return again in the near future.

Just left the hotel today and wanted to put a review on straightaway. It’s absolutely beautiful hotel. If you want a nice classy hotel, great food, excellent service ignore all those awful reviews. Wonderful welcome to the hotel, jet 2 reps visible in the hotel quite a lot. Plenty of choice for food. I am a pescatarian and found plenty to eat. My husband eats meat and said every meal had a good selection. Order a glass of wine or Prosecco with your dinner and they leave the bottle. The tables are set beautifully in a separate room to the buffet which is lovely. Feels more like a restaurant. The staff are all welcoming in particular the restaurant manager who very kindly helped me with my Italian pronunciation. The pool is a lovely place to cool off after a busy day. Plenty of sunbeds. Lunch around the pool was very good quality. In particular we loved the bbq nights, excellent food beautifully cooked. Dancing and good entertainment. The other nights bar one in the piano bar had a singer which was nice and relaxing. Sorrento is beautiful and the shuttle bus to and from the hotel always runs to time and does not need to be booked. 2 buses arrive if needed. A bottle of fizz was brought to our room for our anniversary which was a lovely thought. Thank you for an amazing holiday would definitely recommend.

OK at arriving at this hotel we thought wow absolutely lovely entrance. The room is basic but clean. No point having a tv as you only get bbc world news in English. The staff work very hard and they were all lovely the pool side is nice. The entertainment on Saturday night was great and the disco after the entertainment. The free shuttle bus from the hotel to sorrento was very welcome as the drivers in italy are shocking this is more a 3 star hotel than a 4 star I've got to say the food is just not 4 star quality and repetitive. All said in done a good hotel but jet 2 need to re classify it down to a 3 star as the price of this hotel is far to expensive for its 4 star rating.

Nearly half way through our holiday here and it's been great. We were slightly apprehensive after reading the mixed reviews but what we have experienced has been positive so far. I would say the hotel is more for an older demographic as we are a couple of early 40s but don't let that put you off. Food has been lovely, variety of pasta, salad and meat. They have bbq nights on a Tuesday and Thursday where they lay the table for 4, with a view to share with someone. Top tip, get there a little bit before 7pm if you are couple and grab a table for 2, any later expect to share. We did our own trip to pompeii and got the train, which is a 10 min walk from the hotel. Wow, what an experience, it was jammed pack, if you don't want the Italian experience of travelling by train, book onto one old the excursions that include the transfers. Overall, a great stay, no negatives so far!

Quirky but lovely traditional Italian hotel just about sums it up. It did feel as though we had gone back in time to the 70s but I think that’s part of the charm. Our room was a good size and very yellow. Disappointingly we were in a back room meaning we didn’t have proper windows, just a small side window which looked out onto a path. We were also unfortunate that our room was directly above the kitchens so noise could be heard from 6am, however a room is for sleeping in, so it didn’t bother us too much. I was impressed with gowns and slippers in room along with all the little amenities like shower caps and sewing kit. Towels and bedding was changed everyday ! Dining was really impressive until the last couple of days when the hotel was hosting a large event and attention seemed to focus on those guests rather than other paying guests - this was both regarding food and the entertainment. Staff were always friendly and helpful and they work very hard. The bus into Sorrento was great and getting out and about to places like Vesuvius and Pompei was really easy and cheap on the trains.

Jet2 consider this a 4 star hotel. I don't. It's better than a 3 though, not quite a 4. It's an old hotel with really nice lobby, reception, pool area and dining room. The room I had was in need of some modernisation, but how to do that without ruining the old charm would be a challenge. Room had a great view from balcony overlooking the pool and you could see all across the bay to Naples and Vesuvius. All inclusive food is always repetitive. I've never been anywhere where it isn't, so I'm not going to complain about that. There was a good selection for all 3 meals per day. Food was exactly as I thought it would be. Peroni Nastro Azzuro was the draught beer, so that was pretty good as I was expecting a brand I'd never heard of. The hotel is lacking an atmosphere though. There needs to be some background music playing around the pool in the day and dining room and bar in the evening. Shuttle bus good and runs from 9am to 11pm. Jet 2 needs to read the reviews as I don't think it would take too much work to improve the holiday experience somewhat. This hotel should ooze the classic italianate feel of yesteryear. It has all it needs, it's so close. But jot quite there yet.

Stayed here for2 weeks all inclusive. Food terrible. Very limited choices. Salad, cakes left out for hours unrefrigerated. Evening entertainment dire. No atmosphere in the evening - floodlights on pool bar and no music. Only good things were the free shuttle bus to Sorrento and the 5 minute walk to the nearest train station. Had lots of amazing days out - Naples, Capri, Pompei, Herculaneum, Mount Vesuvius, Positano. Would have gone mad if had to stay at hotel all the time! Food and drink definitely not 4 star. We aren't fussy at all compared to some people but it was terrible.

When we first arrived the reception area was stunning, It was hard not to just stand there open mouthed… we found this hotel to be very authentic, it had an Italian aura which was very soothing. The room was very nice and clean ( this for me was important), yes we had a bed that where two singles pushed together but we didn’t find it hard to sleep next to each other, the view out the window was of a derelict building but we never found any issue with this, as we never paid for a room with a view, but in fact it turned out really well as we couldn’t hear any traffic and was quite quiet. The food was good and catered for our dietary requirements as we are really awkward with our intolerances. The maitre d’ couldn’t of been any more helpful if they wanted to be, the serving staff we found to be very serious in what they do, not rude, but still very helpful… The hotel is on a slight hill about 10 min walk from the main road, 12-13 min walk from the train station and 30 mins from Sorrento where we went on a free guided walk.

The staff made this holiday. They were polite, helpful and professional. The food was excellent with plenty of choice. The choice of drinks was good with the local lager being Peroni, cocktails were made fresh. We found the bed a bit hard and our tv was faulty and wasn't mended but generally a great holiday. Plenty of hot water for a soak in the bath. We used the courtesy bus and walked down to the port. We visited Capri, Amalfi, Herculaneum and Pompei amongst other places. Italian traffic is scary and loads of people tripped up on pavements etc as health and safety is not a priority in Italy! Watch your step. Weather was 20 - 24 degrees, lovely.

We had a great week here. The area it is in isn't the best, our room view was a derelict house and was about 10 or so foot from our small balcony. The room was spotless and yes old fashioned (and it could do with more lights). The cleaners do an excellent job every day. The decor throughout is tired but you can see just how grand it must have once been. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The food was fine, lunch outside was our favourite. There was no rose wine! When I recovered from that shock, the prosecco was just fine. the shuttle bus to sorrento is a life saver, punctual and quick. We did walk down the hill, as long as you have your wits about you it is fine. Train from here is easy. As others have said, you get what you pay for and this hotel is good value for money.
