"We had an amazing stay at this resort. The staff were great and very helpful. They offered a shuttle to and from the pier which was great. They had scooter located right at the hotel to rent which is definitely they way to get around and explore koh Tao, don’t try to get around by vehicle it takes too long. The resort itself was amazing, breakfast was great and because its location up on the hill it made for some really awesome sunset pictures. The restaurant closes at 3 but honestly there are so many great restaurants in town that you will want to head there for dinner. The location might be the best part as koh Tao is a pretty busy little island and so it is nice to get out of the chaos so you can relax a bit in peace. Overall this resort was an amazing experience and I would definitely stay here again. Don’t listen to some of the other reviews, I was skeptical about staying here after I had read some of the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised once we got to the resort."

"It was amazing time in Lub D hotel in Koh Tao. Super friendly staff provided support on every step: transfer from and to pier, new and clean rooms, very good breakfasts, every day some interesting entertainment, swimming pool, snorkeling, kayaking, diving, etc. Tanote bay is tropical paradise. Amazing snorkeling starts immediately when you step in water. Also you can find several good restaurants on the beach with affordable prices. Only one disadvantage - always not enough days in this lovely place."

"I stayed here for two days in Koh Tao ten years ago and was impressed, so I chose this place again this time. Advantages: halfway up the mountain, very quiet, unbeatable balcony view, family room with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, spacious room. Disadvantages: the water heater needs to be turned on by the air conditioner and it is slow to heat up, the location is slightly off, the slope at the entrance is very steep, climbing up and down is very tiring, but it is also an interesting experience, and the hotel takes too long to serve the food. An extra quilt costs 200 pigs."

"Despite the fact that the hotel has been recently renovated it feels like it needs to be renovated again. The bedroom is ok, but the bathroom... The shower is not separated from the main bathroom and everything is always in the water. The light in the room is disgusting and dark. The air conditioning system is terribly noisy and old and the air is too damp and cold. The main building is next to the pool and during work hours there is a loud sound that can be heard in the room. The higher the room is located, the more beautiful the view is. The view alone makes it worth coming. Delicious and varied breakfast (omelet 5 stars)."

"Bans! Been in and out this place throughout the years since 2015 and kept coming back wether I dive or just having a chill trip in koh tao. Bans, was by far MY FAV for many reasons. Location is great, big resorts, i am in love with pool with cafe (behind the lake) and their outdoor shower + amenities! I enjoy my morning dips, my painting session, my coffee and books afternoon. Just this time round, it was just a tad different feelings and experience. Mostly are still great but theres confusion of the room booked and the actual room itself (i reckon website needs to be updated and clearer details) and a minor incident where I have to pay additional 1 night just because the reception didn’t remember that Ive paid which partly my fault for not asking receipt and or prove of payment. Also, Bans used to be having such a great team member in service but ive came across some that’s quite cold and impatient unfortunately this time round unfortunately. sad 😢 and last thing my room floor were sandy meaning the room cleaning isnt that immaculate. Hopefully, next time I go back “home” this feeling was just such indifference and bans will still be me fav."

"The accommodation has a sea view, a bit of a steep climb. Overall, it's okay. The staff are lovely. In the restaurant, there's an aunt who comes to chat and provide service. She's very lovely and friendly. The rooms aren't very new or modern. There's a swimming pool on the beach, but the accommodation doesn't have a beach access."

"Trusted the description of the hotel and was wrong. About the pros, clean room, updated walls and furniture inside the room, comfortable bed, large room, water, tea, coffee, great staff, visually clean pool, walk from the pier, relatively secluded. Now about the cons, took a room with access to the pool, the floor in the exit area, the paint is bought off, the bench in the exit area is split, the mattresses on the sun loungers are old, on the side of the room, but visible from the sun lounger and the windows of the room there were garbage containers, and around them a mountain of plastic bottles. The children in the pool played in such a way as to interfere with a relaxing holiday as much as possible, jumping from your area by the pool or nearby, I had to make a remark, in the morning they played football, incl. running through the room area. There is a construction site nearby, to the left of the bungalow and room area. Perhaps it is quieter higher up. In general, the hotel is apparently for families. Breakfast was enough for me. I stayed for one night and changed the hotel."

"Breakfast is OK but nothing special. Already had a more extensive offer. Dinner in the restaurant is very good. The accommodation - we had a bungalow (a suite according to the description) - for 4 people with a sea view. Very nice. The beach section is dirty and not ideal for swimming. There are 2 beautiful pools, but we searched in vain for the pool bar."

"Cape Shark Villas is a complex of villas with hotel service (daily cleaning, free scheduled transfer to the pier, food ordering to the room). We stayed at C1 Deluxe Villa (with a pool), 6 people. The accommodation was in two buildings - the main villa C1 (with two bedrooms, a gazebo, a veranda and a pool) and the guest house C1 nearby. The villa is located next to the reception - convenient when moving around the island by taxi or by hotel transfer. You can walk down to the sea in 3-5 minutes, but the climb back is quite steep. If you travel by bike, then the location on the mountain has only advantages! Excellent views, quiet and amazing privacy with nature! A squirrel, a crab, a small snake and a charming large gecko lived next to us. At first, such a neighborhood was a little shocking, but in 3 days we became friends with them. No need to be afraid - these are additional emotions and memories. Overall, we liked the villa, it was comfortable, clean and at the same time very colorful. Wherever you look, there is a great angle for a photo shoot. We will be happy to stay here next time. Of the minuses - only one bedroom has a sea view and in October there was a warm pool."

"There is so much to say but I will try to be as concise as possible. Ecotao Lodge is a piece of heaven. The hotel is superb, the whole idea that is an ecological establishment run by a family it makes it all worthwhile. The hotel is simple and yet mesmerising. It is very green, the swimming pool area is breathtaking with views to nature and the sea. My husband and I went to Koh Tao for 3 days so we booked two nights at Ecotao Lodge. We decided to treat ourselves so we went for the suite. When we were taken to our room, we spent at least 30 minutes just sitting there in the balcony and bed, looking at the sea. The view was one of the best I have had the opportunity to see. The room was immaculate and with all the commodities one need. We were provided with hand made shower gel, shampoo and conditioner! It is incredible that this hotel has been open only since December 2019. Yves, the owner, runs the hotel along with his friend and staff. What a wonderful man, passionate about the service he offers, always with a smile. Chris, his friend, always there greeting you in the mornings also with a genuine interest to make sure you are well. The staff are so lovely, smiling all the time with the Thai attitude that is so warm about them. As I said, we were there for two nights... Initially that is. After our first night, we were so in love with the place, the atmosphere and the service that we decided to extend our stay for 4 more nights. I could have stayed even more to be honest but sadly I had to carry on with my travelling plans. Yves, Chris and his staff made us feel like a family! I can't wait to go back next year, even for a few days to stay in this little paradise. Bt the way... The food they serve!!!! OMG!!! It is succulent, balanced, fresh... It is just the best. Loved so many dishes I tried but I couldn't let a day pass without having the spring rolls! Hehehehe.
