More than 2,500 per night, the room is less than 10 square meters, the bed is 0.9 meters at most, and there is no quilt. When the air conditioner is turned on, it's like driving a train. There is nothing else in the room except the toilet paper. The hotel is small and noisy. It was noisy all night for two nights and I got less than 4 hours of sleep! Never encountered anything worse.

Very convenient for the station. It would be necessary to renew the mattresses and bedspreads which date back to the period of the Punic Wars.

The location is convenient, but the environment is really average. Maybe many hotels in Italy are not very good, and the price of the good ones is too expensive.

First of all, you got our name wrong while replying to my father’s review - it’s Srikrishna, not Hare Krishna. Secondly, as hospitality staff, it’s your duty to treat your guests with basic respect. Your claim that no other Asian guests have complained is untrue. I saw you talk to another Asian guest complaining about the air conditioning with a simple “That is not my job” during my time at the hotel. Anyone can check out a wide series of horrible ratings for your hotel and most of them are Asian people. However, the only thing worse than their experience at your hotel are your ******* and petty retorts to them which are solely aimed at aggravating the issue and not towards finding a solution. I am sure you will do the same to this review. Your hotel is in dire need of repair. The rooms are creepy and mouldy. My parents were left in a room with absolutely no circulation for two nights. You very rudely responded with some pathetic explanation stating that public places aren’t allowed to switch on AC which we later found was untrue as well. The room had no kettle or tea bags - when asked we were given an unclean kettle which smelled horrible. We found insects in the bathroom which was completely unsanitary. It is very clear that you deem certain guests worthy of attention and ignore the needs of others. Don’t pretend otherwise. Don’t try to pin your lack of hospitality on us being bad guests. Attaching some photos and videos showing the deplorable condition of your hotel.
Response from Property: Dear Hari Krishna, seldom do we find customers who are more of a pain in the *** than you. let me tell you a secret.: Daniil and John were so nice and patient because they are forced to. But if you ask me, I can only answer frankly. Which you may find rude but which I find satisfying. I could retort point by point but it is not worth it. Let me just respond to your subtly r acist polemic. No other Asians have complained. My wife is Bulgarian-German. My staff is 70 % foreigners and half of them are Asians with whom I have had the pleasure of working for years. People are id i ots no matter where they come from. Even here in Italy we are full of them. :-) On the whole, i will be pleased to host you all again if you will come with a different mood. yours faithfully Diego

First the good: this hotel has an amazing staff member: Daniel who is easily the most knowledgeable and helpful person on all matters Rome.. Also appreciations for John who makes excellent cappuccinos at the breakfast counter. Now for the not so good: In our ten days in Italy, this was easily the worst hotel my family has stayed at. Relying on our travel agent and online reviews, we thought it would be a small but comfy city hotel near to the Termini railway station. The reality is that it is a very old building on a busy street with cramped interiors, an ancient elevator and dysfunctional ventilation that made it difficult to sleep (hotel manager said Rome City rules do not permit airconditioning ...but other hotels did have it. PLUS: Rome is quite WARM in early October). Windows if opened lets in loud noise through the night from the restaurants on the street below. The old rooms on the 3rd floor had a strange decor like they were built for a movie set of the 1940s... and the 'new' rooms have a very creepy blue UV lighting in the corridors. After much protests and two nights of misery, we were moved to another room where at least the ventilation was good. Breakfast was a poor spread of store bought sweet croissants in a cramped room - except the coffee by John, nothing was good. From the reviews, I gather that there are better rooms that other guests have stayed in - or were upgraded to. Ours were very bad and perhaps it is due to our nationality or skin colour - or both. The manager - Diego? - for whom I have read some praise here - was unnecessarily rude to us - and to other Asians who complained. I let it go as my family did not want to et into an argument with this short tempered guy and spoil what was otherwise a nice family holiday. He has a thing or two to learn from his Asian counterparts about how to run a hospitality business. On the whole, I will not recommend this hotel based on our experience. There are far better managed hotels in Rome.

We have had a wonderful experience here. Very sincere and friendly staff who offered us great local advice for getting around and making the most of our time. So close to the main station and many attractions. Easy to check in, get advice and breakfast each morning and head out to see the sights. We'll be back.

Good points SOME staff were helpful Rooms were cleaned daily Comfy bed Close to train Bad points Hotel is more like a hostel, it is definitely not a 3 star. Rooms are average if you just want to lay your head Reception is on the 3rd floor, superior rooms are on the 6th floor. You can upgrade to this upon check in. 6 flights of stairs Lift is very old fashioned, looks like it’s from the 1930s. Can only fit two people in at a push with a suitcase. No good for wheelchairs. Hotel doesn’t specify if you have mobility problems, this hotel is extremely unsuitable if you do. If the lift door isn’t closed properly on any floor, You can’t call the lift as it won’t work. Then you will have to walk the 6 flights of stairs. Very noisy at times when people are just closing the bedroom doors. We had groups of youngers on our floor who were running up and down the corridors into the early hours, we had to go to tell them many times. Hotel staff weren’t helpful with this. Breakfast is continental and in a very small room by reception. We didn’t try the breakfast and it wasn’t very personal. Hotel entrance is uninviteing and wide open to anyone to walk into. Hotel was like a building site, the whole 4th floor is being wiped out and drilling noise was loud and also the smell of cigarette smoke coming through the floors from them. If you want more of a nicer place to stay and have a nice reception to relax etc this isn’t the place!!!

Clean and friendly hotel. Special thanks to Marco who was accommodating and very helpful always. Even helped us when we forgot our passports on a trip - thank you! Breakfast basic but has what you need. Room was clean and practical. Lift took some getting used to, added to the experience though! Had everything we needed for our family trip to Rome.
Response from Property: Thank you very much for the nice comment. It really was a pleasure to be of assistancel. Most people think that the receptionist is just checking in or checking out, when in fact they are at the desk to help their guests, as was the case with you. I hope I was helpful for your holiday in Rome and we hope to see you again soon. Marco.

Pleasant Hotel, at a great location, the staff are friendly and helpful with their guidance, able to leave bags for storage, very useful. Good size room clean and tidy, could of have some teabags or coffee to accompany the kettle, breakfast is nice but would like a little more variety, the only other moan is would have preferred the 3rd floor as opposed the 6th, being a little older the stairs to floor 6 can be gruelling after a day trekking around Rome, was slightly concerned about the antiquated lift, though having said that, it did work well and was a lovely feature. Great hotel: the staff are so friendly staff: Breakfast was lovely we had a picnic last night! Hotel is right in the centre with terminal station near by. 5 min walk , taxi , trains, buses and hop on hop off buses! Little restaurants near. I loved thebramblebar kitchen and Mino.
Response from Property: Dear Suzi, it was a pleasure to have you and your mother as guests. The nicest and funniest so far. We hope we have been helpful to you, as well as good company. We expect to have you back as our guests as soon as possible. Thank you very much for the nice comment. Marco.

We stayed here as a family of 4 after being moved from another hotel with our BA Holiday. The guy on reception as we booked in was amazing and immediately upgraded our room having heard about our rubbish start. The room had everything required, plus was very clean, modern and quiet. The same chap on reception talked me through buses, restaurants and the local area - couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Breakfast is basic, but fresh, plentiful and uncrowded. Perfect location for transport while being on a quiet side street with walkable good restaurants.

Stayed here for 5 nights in a superior double room. Entrance to the hotel is at street level but reception on the third floor. Small but fully functional lift. The building is very old so don’t expect chain hotel gloss, it’s clean, practical & friendly. Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with a great shower. Bed very comfortable & room had an opening window looking over rooftops. Room had air conditioning which was okay but it wasn’t that hot this week. Hotel staff very helpful with directions etc. Roma Termini station is but a 3 minute walk away with access to trains, buses, taxi rank & metro. Most of the major tourist attractions are under 20 minutes away by public transport. There is a handy mini market (BH Mini market) near the hotel entrance with a very helpful owner. Would definitely use this hotel again if we come to Rome.
