Great location, lovely clean and comfortable room. Perfect for what we needed during our brief stay in Portsmouth. Free parking was a great addition. We had a good nights sleep and the breakfast in the morning was very, very good. Throughly recommend a stay here. Really helpful and friendly staff
Premier Inn Portsmouth Dockyard

This hotel is in a great location with the historic dockyard a stones throw away . Great links to public transport. The hotel its self has a warm friendly feel with very friendly and very knowledgeable staff . Rooms are clean and well presented and have what you need . The on site restaurant was not as good with servers looking uninterested and more like you are a hindrance than a welcome guest . Also not a great look when they are eating breakfast whilst tables are dirty and cluttered with mess .
Holiday Inn Express Portsmouth - North
4.3/5134 Reviews
I read a few negative reviews before arriving here and I was a bit worried about how my stay would go. I have to say all of theses reviews were proved wrong. We had a really good stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and the reception staff especially were constantly working on reception, in the bar and helping clear after meals and breakfast. Our room was very clean and convenient. The only issue is the separate charge for parking. Having to pay on a machine at a hotel is unusual and unnecessary.
Holiday Inn Express Portsmouth - Gunwharf Quays

Amazing position, great location. Maria, on reception was a 'star' -what a welcome. Friendly and professional. Treat two pots of ice cream, added bonus. A room off the dining area, first on the right, no miles of walking, excellent. Clean and comfortable, as the bathroom, lovely and clean. Breakfast the usual, seriously manic. Extremely busy, buffet, just warm food, lots of choice, wonderful hash browns. No prisoners taken, still enjoyable. Tables cleaned in between guests, well done. Only down side 'He' has now become a registered disabled, no parking available in the small parking area located on site which was annoying. We parked in the underground Gunwharf car park, the charge was reimbursed which was fine, however, it was an issue for him getting to and from the hotel. Did not spoil our stay, loved it, hopefully will stay again.
Ibis Portsmouth Centre

Nice hotel, good location, many restaurants nearby, and close to Portsmouth & Southsea station. Very nice staff, especially Hasan!Very enthusiastic and friendly! When we go back to the hotel,he always say hello to us. We feel so happy and warm. In other words,in Chinese we call it “宾至如归”. The meaning of “宾至如归” is guests feel at home. Thank you so much!
Portsmouth Port Solent

I arrived at the Premier Inn at 6pm on Saturday 4th January, having booked a meal deal. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. The room was cold and not up to scratch… However! My true experience was about to begin… I immediately checked in at the restaurant to be told by a rude lady that I needed to book a table. The restaurant only had 2 tables occupied… I arrived at 6:25 to be kept waiting for 10 minutes. No staff members available. Then a male member of staff passing by told me to take a seat before disappearing. Another member of staff arrived to take my order. I was then told that most of the menu was not available. He explained that the Premier Inn was ‘shockingly terrible for letting down their customers’ … He expanded on a few issues that rang alarm bells… I had to eat at the Pizza Hut nearby. I was staying in a Premier Plus room that was not up to its usual standard… No water in the fridge and only a 2 finger Kit-Kat on the side… not the usual Green & Blacks chocolate. I arrived for breakfast the following morning… No buffet, no Alpen… The chef said they didn’t have enough customers or food for a buffet. He expanded on supply issues and said they were having to go to the local Tesco to buy items. Seriously, I could write a novel on my experience but I’m not wasting my time. I’ve had the same experience in Whitehaven on Sunday. The company doesn’t care and your failing your staff and customers…
