The location is right in the city center, and the courtyard has an antique charm. They even offer travel photography services, and I got some really beautiful shots that turned out amazing! The room facilities are complete, and there's even a large bottle of purified water. The front desk also provides travel tips. Compared to other places nearby, the price is really good value for money. It's very thoughtful and I highly recommend checking it out!

This guesthouse is located right inside Pingyao Ancient City, and you can see the bustling main street just by turning right out the door – super convenient! The courtyard is designed in the traditional Shanxi folk style, and they even have several vats of their own homemade wine and various flavored vinegars for guests to sample. The rooms are well-equipped, clean, and comfortable. They offer pick-up and drop-off service from the parking lot outside the ancient city for both check-in and check-out. The young lady at the front desk even gave us tour recommendations, which was very thoughtful and detailed. The young man working at the guesthouse helped us with our luggage throughout our stay, and we even received a parting gift when we checked out. Highly recommended!

My experience staying at this hotel as below. 1. They provide pickup and drop off from the train station. The day before the Inn contacted me to make arrangement for the pickup. Then they arranged to drive me back to station on the day I leave. Service was efficient and prompt. Much appreciated. 2. I was able to use the washing machine to wash come clothes which was much needed. Comb and toiletries were provided. So grateful for these little necessities as I left mine at the previous hotel. 3. The boss upgraded me to a bigger and better room because it was the low season. The kang bed was so comfortable and firm. I had the best sleep so far at this Inn. I'm so happy. 4. The Inn is inside the old city and practically next to one of the city gates. Very convenient for sightseeing old Pingyao city. 5. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Boss also gave me a bottle of vinegar. Wish I could take it back to UK with me. 6. The price of this Inn is also very reasonable and affordable. 7. Pingyao is a beautiful, ancient old city. Worth coming. I highly recommend staying here. If you want an authentic traditional vibe but still appreciate modern convenience, this hotel is the perfect choice. The staff picked us up and dropped us off by buggy at the main gate, which made everything effortless. The host was incredibly helpful and explained the best way to explore Pingyao Ancient Town. The hotel has a beautiful traditional courtyard style, but the rooms are fully modern—well-sealed windows, a big projector screen, an automated toilet, super clean linens, and a very comfortable mattress. A cold wave hit during our stay, and the host even provided an extra heater to keep us warm, which we really appreciated. We’re so glad we found this place and highly recommend it with confidence.

The hotel is located in a beautiful restored traditional house on the very center of Pingyao. The room was clean, comfortable, and everything worked as expected. The hotel offered a few complimentary services too, such as a fish spa and a traditional Chinese costume, which made our stay a little more fun. The staff was kind and helpful.We highly recommend the Elsewhere hotel!

The hotel's location is fantastic. Cars can drop you off right at the entrance, and Nanda Street is just 50 meters away – super convenient! The owners are a lovely couple, very welcoming and attentive. They even offered a free pick-up service from the train station and helped us plan our itinerary. Breakfast was also delicious and plentiful. Since it's a 150-year-old house, the facilities aren't quite up to star-hotel standards, but it's incredibly clean and has a lot of character. Definitely worth recommending!

The stay experience is superb, the typical Jinshang Courtyard, the antique atmosphere is full. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft. The boss service is intimate, will recommend local food and play routes, the location is excellent, it is very convenient to enter and exit the ancient city, and I will choose here next time I come to Pingyao.

This hotel boasts an excellent location right on South Street, making it super convenient for getting around. They even offer complimentary shuttle service to and from the city gate, plus a free breakfast. I also tried their à la carte menu, and the food was delicious! What's really great is that they also offer travel photography, providing a one-stop shop for everything. If you're looking for a hassle-free and enjoyable trip, this place is definitely the right choice.

Round-trip shuttle service (Pingyao Ancient City Station, bus station, Pingyao Station): We came from a friend's house in Taiyuan, and they offer a high-speed rail station shuttle service. Since it was raining that day, they even brought each of us an umbrella, which was incredibly thoughtful. The driver was polite and very enthusiastic. The car that picked us up was a modified MPV, with luxurious interiors, comfortable seats, and was clean and hygienic. The hotel itself is very well-designed, blending classical elegance with a modern touch. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The front desk staff were all very welcoming. We stayed for two nights and were completely satisfied with everything. The most, most, most highly recommended aspect is their breakfast. Although it's a set menu, it will completely change your definition of a 'set menu breakfast' for this price point. It was truly perfect, and I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Pingyao.
