This is a gorgeous hotel that is centrally-located inside the ancient city with great service. It’s like living in a museum! The hotel is housed in a thoughtfully renovated ancient college with a beautiful courtyard for chatting, eating, and chilling. The rooms are large, clean, and quiet. I really enjoyed the traditional mat style bed. The hotel is a short walk away from the bustling Main Street. It was very convenient to walk to most attractions inside the walled City. The hotel owner also arranged free transport to take me to the high speed rail station. The service was wonderful. No complaints! If you’re staying here, I recommend checking out not just the ancient walled city but also the ancient temples in the area. I would stay here again without hesitation.

We are from overseas and would like to commend that the service is impeccable. They offer pickup and drop off at the high speed rail station. We also went during winter and the room was very warm. No complaints about this hotel and definitely recommend it!

I had a great stay at this hotel located in the ancient city of Pingyao. The hotel is an old house, which has been beautifully redecorated. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable with all the amenities we needed. The breakfast was also delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the manager who kindly upgraded my room after my original room had an electrical issue. Highly recommend this hotel!

Great location, close to all sight seeing spots, good breakfast, free pickup to and from railway station. It would be good if price can be cheaper. Recommended.

What a fabulous hotel! Excellent, helpful staff who went the extra mile to help reschedule and organise transfer, beautiful courtyard and rooms, great location inside the city walls, delicious breakfast and heaps of bottled water - could not have asked for more!

It was very good. The heated kang was huge. The children were very happy. It was their first time to experience the kang and they were very excited. At night, because the floor heating was not warm enough, the housekeeper asked us to turn on the central air conditioning in the room, and it was very warm. We slept very well👌🏻

FamilyMart voted unanimously as the best accommodation for this trip to Shanxi, with services that surpass those of first-tier international brands such as Marriott😆😆 Service:🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The customer service butler added WeChat the day before check-in, carefully asked us about our estimated arrival time and travel methods, and provided a lot of free consultation along the way😂😂 We encountered congestion on the highway and almost missed the scheduled performance in the evening. The lady was waiting on the roadside early in the morning, led us to the parking lot🅿️, and led us to the theater🎭~ It was a smooth ride~~ She also helped us book a popular restaurant for dinner, saving us the time of queuing! So thoughtful!! During the Spring Festival, I brought my family to visit Pingyao Ancient City. I stayed at Xihe Academy. The environment was great and full of a strong sense of history. It was as if I had traveled back to that era. My wife and children liked it very much. The accommodation conditions were also good and worth recommending. 👍

The hotel is located in Pingyao Ancient City, with a prime location, very close to the main street, South Street. It is renovated on the basis of an old house, and has an antique style. I booked a big kang room, which my children had never seen before, so it was a good experience. The service was very good, and they could pick me up outside the ancient city. It was clean and hygienic, and the facilities were very new. Overall, it was very good.
