Loved the hotel. It's right in the start of our driving tour of the Douro Valley.

I had the opportunity to stay at this 4-star hotel, and my experience was generally positive, although there were some areas for improvement. The location is undoubtedly one of this hotel's greatest strengths: right in the city center, with easy access to public transportation, restaurants, and tourist attractions. This convenience made the entire stay more convenient and enjoyable. The cleanliness of the facilities is noteworthy – the rooms were impeccably maintained and well-sanitized, conveying a feeling of comfort and security from the very first moment. The service was also generally friendly and helpful. The staff was available to help, even if, at times, the quality of service didn't quite meet the standards expected for this hotel category. Breakfast proved to be one of the weakest aspects of the stay. While sufficient, the variety was limited for a hotel of this caliber. The lack of simple options like boiled eggs and, on occasion, scrambled eggs served cold, left something to be desired. The pool, on the other hand, was a pleasant surprise – with an excellent view of the river and a well-integrated setting within the hotel grounds. However, the opening hours (until 7:30 PM) were somewhat inflexible, and on one day, it closed before the scheduled time, at 7:15 PM. One aspect worth considering is the lack of any charging points for electric vehicles. At a time when sustainable mobility is increasingly important, it would be important for the hotel to follow this trend and provide at least a basic charging solution. In short, this is a property with potential, well-located, with good levels of comfort and cleanliness, but it could benefit from improvements in food service, staff training, and adaptation to modern guest demands.

The hotel is perfectly located just opposite Régua station, on the banks of the Douro. Very spacious room. Nice welcome. Very pleasant bar with a view of the river.

The river view room had a great view of the vineyard! I'm hoping for a sunny day next time.

Awesome location and view. We got the presidential suite which had a parenting room and dining area, a very large bathroom and a good size bedroom n we had 2 balconies which over looked the river. Is the decor a bit tired yes it is . But for the price the was an excellent experience and it included breakfast which was very good. The location is walkable to some very nice restaurants and wine bars. We also got to see the festival and fireworks from our balcony.

This hotel was the highlight of our 1-week stay in Portugal in late April/ early May. The staff were all excellent, as was the top-floor restaurant. Our room was spacious and - crucially - had a river view which was superb. Would definitely stay again if in Regua.

Fast check-in process. I regretted the street-facing room; I arrived late and figured the view did not matter. The car noise was quite loud, and the fumes were unpleasant. I would have had a better experience if my room was on the riverside. The room was dated, not spotless, but clean overall. There was no kettle for coffee/tea. There were no USB ports for charging devices. The room only had tiny glasses. The mattress was firm but comfortable. The coolest I could get in the room was 71°F, too warm for a comfortable night's sleep. The room was quite dark, making it suitable for sleeping, but the constant road noise was the downside. I used earplugs to drown out the sound, even with the window closed. However, I wanted to open the window for fresh air, but the car fumes made that impossible. The shower had excellent pressure. An unsealed water bottle was provided in the room. I understand the hotel offers filtered water in a glass jar vs. plastic, which I fully appreciate. Still, I felt uncomfortable drinking from it as I could not know if the water was filtered or if the bottle was even washed between people (there was no seal). Breakfast was basic. The scrambled eggs were good, but the selection left a lot to be desired. The cheeses were labeled half-fat. I found that odd and wished for fresh, regular local cheese; the meats and pastries appeared low quality. On the plus side, the breakfast area had a pretty view.

Nice big traditional hotel room, carpeted (including corridor) so very quiet. Lovely view of the Douro from room at the back, and we were allocated a first floor room as requested. Hotel is convenient for the railway station, also near the quay for boat trips. We enjoyed meals in their restaurant on both nights. We asked for the English menu at reception and realised we could upgrade to a half board option which made it a three course set menu for 26 Euros, apparently including house wine (despite the menu saying it didn't include drinks). This was a much better deal than their à la carte menu. We also enjoyed the buffet breakfast in their top floor room, again with great views, fab choice.

We stayed a night at this faded hotel. It was very centrally located and had parking. There were beautiful views over the river and the surrounding countryside. We ate at the restaurant and the food was very good (as was the wine). Also, the breakfast was plentiful with a good and varied choice. The room and ensuite were clean. My only gripe about this hotel is that it's in need of a bit of an update.

Stayed for 3 nights. Large hotel but looking a little tired. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Our room was on the 2nd floor looking towards the town except you couldn’t see out of the windows for the covering on them and the window no key opened a small amount. Above us was the restaurant and it’s was very noisy late at night and at 6 am with them moving things around up there. We had booked to eat there the first night but when we arrived at the restaurant we were told it was now a buffet, this was disappointing, I certainly didn’t get value for money. Breakfast was ok scrambled egg, mushrooms but no granola. Location is brilliant for this hotel though but if I went to stay in Régua I would look at the other hotel.

Just a one night stay with my family. The river rooms are very nice and confortable, very clean, great view, good airconditioning and silent. We had buffet dinner, the food was very good. Not a huge buffet but the quality was good and the service also. The view form the Restaurant at sun set was great. Breakfast was also buffet, simple but good, the athmosphere was good, just relaxing viewing Douro.

We stayed here as part of a tour but would certainly stay again as a couple if in town. This is a modern hotel with good staff and stunning views over the River Douro. The beds are comfortable, and cafes and restaurants are close by. Highly recommended.

This modern hotel is situated right on the Douro River across town easily accessible from the train station by walking over the old bridge (now a pedestrian only walkway). The room was a good size and comfortable. There is a small attached balcony but unfortunately there is no separation from the next room's balcony. We opted for 1/2 board which included breakfast and dinner in the restaurant which was excellent. I would recommend this as its great to relax in the hotel after a long day of touring wineries. There is also a bar on the first floor with good wine and cocktail selections. The pool was indoors and heated. The spa was closed for Covid. There's also a sauna. The staff was friendly and made all our reservations including a private car tour of a few wineries and a boat cruise on the river.
