This hotel boasts an excellent location, surrounded by numerous restaurants and shops in a bustling area of Perth. It's just a ten-minute walk to the Bell Tower and Elizabeth Quay. While there are some homeless people in the vicinity, the hotel maintains good security. After 9 PM, you need your room key to access both the lobby and the elevators.

Place is old, and somewhat outdated, and u do hear the traffic from the freeway. But, for the cost for the night, which was $120, overall, it was good value for money. When I first arrived, as it was after hours, I dealt with the caretaker, who was friendly, and also helped me get into my room, cos I was having trouble with the door lock, which was my fault! I didn't use the kitchen facilities, except the fridge, but kitchen was equipped with enough items to be able to cook a meal easily. Bathroom was good, with shower over bath, (and big size bath too), so with not having a bath at home, I soaked for ages! I was informed before arrival, that only mini soap and toilet paper was provided, so I knew to bring body wash, hair conditioner, and other toiletries. Bed was comfy, and bedroom is quite large. TV maybe a little small, but the room had a couple of cupboards, and some hangers for clothes. Place was fairly clean, keeping in mind that it is an older property. Check out was easy, and I was met by a friendly receptionist behind the desk. I would definately stay again, if the price was as good, I'd just bring some earplugs for sleep, cos of traffic noise, which is no fault of the apartments of course!

Facilities: Decent, but they provide disposable toothbrushes without toothpaste.
Cleanliness: Could be better; there were grease stains on the curtains.
Environment: Very close to the river, and the indoor environment is also good.
Service: The front desk staff had a good attitude. However, it's been three days and my deposit hasn't been refunded yet. I'm also unsure how much they've deducted. It's unsettling.

The room was clean, and the family room we booked was quite spacious, with a fridge and microwave, which made it super convenient to heat up takeout.
The area around the hotel is packed with all sorts of specialty restaurants, mostly Asian ones. You'll find Vietnamese, Indian, Malaysian, Japanese, Korean, and even Chinese restaurants – basically everything! Right next door to the hotel, there's also a massive Asian supermarket, run by a ********* owner, and it's incredibly well-stocked. Grabbing some instant meals from there can definitely save you money on dining out.
The sky in South Australia is always so clear and blue, but the UV is really strong. Luckily, the room had those solid blackout curtains that created a perfect environment for a good night's sleep. Staying at this hotel was just incredibly convenient for eating and shopping.

I was very happy with the room, much better than Ibis, though its location isn't as good. The hotel also provides two complimentary bottles of milk daily, and the staff are all very polite. Definitely avoid taking the subway to the station the hotel recommends; it's a long walk through a quiet area. I suggest going to Perth station first and then transferring to bus 910.

A great stay, good sized rooms with all necessities, fridge, coffee milk etc. Comfortable beds, reverse cycling air con, Plenty of TV Channel options. Walkable distance to Hay Street Mall about 15 minutes. Close by some good coffeeshops and cafes. Rooms are presented well, fresh and clean.

I stayed for 6 days, and it was my first time staying in an overseas hostel! Regarding amenities, nothing is provided, so you need to bring your own shampoo, body wash, etc. There are only showers. The cleanliness depends on the room you're in. My room was a bit messy because I was sharing it with someone who had been staying there for a long time. The hallway had boots and shoes from guests, but it wasn't inconvenient to walk through.
The communal kitchen and lobby were great for relaxing, which I really appreciated. There's also an exclusive guest area on the first floor where you can play games or eat. Since I was traveling solo this time, I didn't usually use it, but I found out about it when I had dinner with my roommate once. The reception staff were polite, energetic, and made for a pleasant experience.
It was also possible to store luggage after check-out; it was set up so you could put your bags in a luggage room yourself.

After an early morning flight, I arrived quite early, intending to just drop off my luggage, but to my surprise, I was able to check in directly and go straight to my room to rest. The hotel is very quiet, and the room is large and clean. The studio comes with a small kitchen and a washing machine, which is fantastic for the price. There's a small supermarket downstairs for convenient shopping, and a bus stop right outside the entrance. It's only a 10-20 minute bus ride to the ferry terminal.

Traveling with a 6-year-old, what matters most to me, besides the hotel's ambiance and location, is the bed size.
The Intercontinental's advantages are:
1. **Location**: It's in the city center, within walking distance to shopping, and you can take the free CAT bus to city walk attractions.
2. **Hotel Environment & Hygiene**: The hotel itself has good environmental conditions and is clean. While the breakfast options aren't extensive, the food is delicious.
3. **Bed Size**: The double bed is 1.35m, which is perfectly sufficient for a family of three!
The only drawback is that the room is a bit small.

We booked this hotel on short notice. We booked 4 rooms. Everyone liked it. The room was very clean! We could cook a little and it also had a washing machine and dryer. I highly recommend it! Great!

Amazing
GGrennHad a wonderful stay at Hyde Perth during our Perth trip.
The service truly stood out from the moment we arrived. We reached at around 5am on 23 May, and the Night Duty Manager went above and beyond to help recommend a temporary accommodation for us at a nearby hotel while waiting for our room to be ready later in the day. It was a thoughtful gesture that really helped us rest after a long flight.
He was also incredibly reassuring and helpful when our parcels were delayed, offering to assist with arranging shipment to our preferred address and easing a lot of our worries.
The reception staffs were always warm, friendly, and approachable whenever we had questions, and housekeeping was attentive to all our requests throughout the stay.
The room itself was spacious, lovely, and thoughtfully designed. We especially enjoyed the aesthetic of the hotel, and our room gave us a beautiful view of the sunrise every morning which made the stay feel even more relaxing.
The location was another huge plus — conveniently situated within a short walk to the train station and nearby malls, making it very easy to get around Perth.
Overall, it was a very comfortable and pleasant experience, and I would definitely stay at Hyde again the next time I return to Perth.

GGuest UserThis was the most pleasant surprise of our Australia trip! The hotel's location is fantastic, with shopping and transport links right next door. The breakfast offers incredible value for money, and the room size was decent. They even provide a pillow menu with different types to choose from, and a Nespresso machine with good quality capsules – miles better than the Pan Pacific! The staff were very welcoming and even spoke Chinese. The steakhouse and Italian restaurant nearby are both excellent. It's a shame we only stayed one night.
Oh, and a quick note on the hotel's pre-authorization: the refund was processed instantly. Hotels in other cities and the Pan Pacific I stayed at before still hadn't refunded me even after I'd returned home.

TTotal travellerPerfect location for a short stay. The hotel is central, there is a wonderful bar and restaurant if it gets late and you prefer to stay in. We had a drink at the bar and enjoyed the ambiance of the place. There’s a pool and gym which is great to have on hot days. It was close to many shops and restaurants which is ideal as you don’t have to travel far also to enjoy the pier and city views.

GGuest UserThe location is good because it's a comfortable distance from the city center, so it's not too noisy. It's also very convenient for transportation with many buses. The room was a bit small for the price, but I guess that's to be expected with high prices these days. Breakfast was delicious, though there weren't any vegetables.

GGuest UserThe environment is top-notch: The public areas and overall decor are very stylish, creating a relaxed atmosphere perfect for photos.
The hygiene is excellent: The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was fresh, and there were no unpleasant odors, making for a very comfortable stay.
Front desk service was average: The staff at check-in were a bit cold and didn't offer greetings or explanations proactively. It was pretty much a 'self-service' experience. If you prioritize hardware and hygiene, you can book this place without hesitation. However, if you highly value service experience, you might be a little disappointed.

GGuest UserI was very satisfied with the location's convenience. It's very close to the station and city center, also the Rottnest Island ferry is only about a ten-minute walk away. The front desk staff were also very friendly. On my first day, they probably saw I arrived early and was tired, so they arranged a room for me early. However, perhaps because the hotel itself is a bit old, there were some stains in the room, and the curtains weren't fully closed. I need to confirm the room's condition with the hotel to avoid being held responsible. But the bathroom was very clean, and I liked the shampoo and body wash very much. The room was also cleaned very well every day! The only thing that bothered me was the environment near the hotel. On my first day, I saw homeless people, which made me a little uneasy. Maybe can improve the appearance of the hotel to make guests feel more at ease.

GGuest UserExcellent hotel at excellent location for excellent price.
I’ve stayed for 2 weeks and liked every day there.
Big and comfortable bed, air conditioning perfectly adjustable. Hotel is quiet and clean wherever you walk, guests you notice only at lobby/breakfast area.
King’s park just across the street, city center 20 minutes on foot, 20 minutes to train station.
Taxi (Uber) always around and arrives within less than 5 minutes.
The only thing I could say it was issue is lack of shelfs/drawers in the room to arrange 2 week clothes 😬

LLaiConnieWe stayed in a long stay studio. Was good I think it had been renovated before. Just the room looks a bit dark as it painted in black. They have a good restaurant in the lobby so make sure you try it as it also filled with people.

GGuest UserIt's in the heart of the city, so it's very accessible. The bathroom is clean and overall it's quiet. The kitchen is in the basement, so you can't hear much noise. Sometimes you can only hear noise from the street at night. I recommend staying here for a trip, but it's a little expensive.
