Amazing
KKarsten aus DeutschlandWe chose SOOK Hotel for one night in Ranong during our rental car road trip from Bangkok to Phuket, and we were very happy with our choice. The hotel is beautifully designed, making you feel comfortable right from the start. The rooms are very comfortable, with large and very cozy beds. The air conditioning works perfectly, and the rooms are clean with separate wet and dry areas. There's ample parking right in front of the hotel. The location is also very central, with restaurants, cafes, natural hot springs, and attractions all within close proximity. During our stay, the public park, just a 10-minute walk from the hotel, in front of the Rattanarangsan Palace (a historical teakwood replica), was beautifully lit up at night.
If you're passing through Ranong and looking for good accommodation at a fair price, we can highly recommend SOOK Hotel.
RRL ChouRelatively small accommodation; small and exquisitely designed
The bed is very comfortable
There is a market next to it with delicious noodles
Breakfast is very simple, just porridge
It takes ten minutes by car to reach the city’s public hot spring park.
This public bath is highly recommended... free; but you must register first
Measuring Blood Pressure is one of the few great public hot spring parks in Thailand; the weather in the early morning is really good for bathing.
There is also an old street nearby with delicious food to explore (the photo is of a restaurant in the old street)
GGuest UserA nice clean, comfortable and safe hotel to experience tranquility. The room was perfect for a couple’s or family retreat. The beddings were soft and fluffy. The gym was spacious and has the necessary workout equipment. The restaurant served good local Thai food and western style breakfast. The bath tube was large and fills with hot-spring water quickly. Ranong’s famous hotspring park is only 3 mins drive away. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.
MMonica R.The hotel is very well located, very close to the main street. The room was large with a small balcony. The pool is nice, although it only has a few sun loungers (just 3). The breakfast is also very good. Communication with the staff is difficult as they speak little English; I even wrote an email but never received a reply.
GGuest UserGreat spot and a nice little cabin style accommodation. Bathroom was open around the edges but not too many mossy s came in that way. There was a lot of mossy s around when opening the front door.
The room had aircon and a fan, fridge hairdryer and kettle. No coffee or tea sachets provided. Breakfast was good with a selection on 2 days from the buffet and then last day alacarte. Great spot on beach.
A lot of places seemed to be closed due to low season.
PppkaThe room is clean, big, the bed is big and comfortable, there is a balcony, there is a sink for washing dishes, it is worth the money. There is a songthaew passing in front of the apartment, opposite there is a restaurant, a very delicious rice soup restaurant, there is enough parking space. If I go to Ranong again, I will definitely stay here again.
AAnonymous UserService from good staff, central, okay, breakfast, pan egg But the room is not directly on the cover, old, very rotten, very scary, if coming alone, definitely move. Not worth this price Pay 1,300 + 300 dog. Stay elsewhere better. The room is very old. The door to the room is locked and still feels unpleasant. Should improve a lot Yes, let the room be clean, more inviting to stay, very shabby.
AAnonymous UserAverage budget hotel for predominantly Asian guests.
The open design of the room front means exposure to noise, heat and dust.
Large room, furnishings partly antiquated and worn, Myanmar hotel feel (power lines on the wall, bright neon overhead lighting, no light variation). The upper part of the window is not covered by curtains that are not light-proof anyway.
Clean bed linen and towels, clean bathroom, dusty floor (no daily wet cleaning), deposits on the table top.
Internet sometimes interrupted.
Friendly, helpful reception, but not particularly competent in foreign languages.
Lobby open all day with free hot water, cold drinks, coffee/tea, breakfast snacks.
DDoc o the BayVery friendly staff. Unfortunately when we booked their website said ‘Queen Room’ - weren’t expecting a tent.
The facilities were fine with power, private toilet & shower next to your tent. The very reasonable price was too good to be true. If I had have known the rooms were tents & I was on a budget I would stay there no worries.
