The location is good, and parking in a small city is relatively relaxed. You can park on the roadside or in the supermarket next door, but I'm still a little afraid of having my car window smashed;
I didn't notice when booking that the king-size bed room is actually barrier-free, and the Ctrip page didn't highlight it!
The facilities are inconvenient, and there is no dry and wet separation, which feels a bit strange, and water splashes everywhere;
The breakfast is too simple, but everything else is OK. After all, it's convenient on the main road in the city.

This time I booked a cabin room, number 19. It was very nice. I felt like I had a small home in New Zealand~
Parking is available at the door, and each parking space is marked with a room number, one parking space for each family.
The room facilities are a little bit old, the exhaust fan is a bit loud, the heater in the bedroom seems to be broken, and finally the heater in the living room is turned on.
Since I was in a hurry, I didn’t take any photos. There are McDonald’s, KFC, etc. nearby. When you go out of the hotel and turn a corner, you will reach the main road of the town.

I went to see the rooms set by Penguin. I was a bit worried about staying in the motel for the first time, but the location and the environment are good. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the town center. It’s convenient to have breakfast at McDonald’s next door. It’s 30 minutes walk to see Blue Penguin. About minutes.

It's a very retro hotel. The elevator is a door, giving it a medieval feel. The location is very good. The hotel is connected to a row of shops, which is convenient for parking and shopping. It is also very close to the Steam Museum. I met an exquisite lady while having breakfast in the restaurant. The breakfast was also good.

The front desk is a Chinese male, the service is warm, the room is clean and sanitary, it is a bungalow, and there is no noise from the second floor. It is very close to the place where you can see penguins. There is a panda restaurant not far away that is very delicious. It is great to take it back to the hotel to eat.

HHuanyoushijierenxiaoyaoWe, a retired couple who don't speak English, stayed in this kind of backpacker hotel for the first time (mainly because it is close to the penguin base, a 10-minute walk, and the key is that we also want to experience it). We checked in by ourselves (we checked in very smoothly with the help of Ctrip customer service). It was the first time to experience this kind of backpacker hotel for young people. Unexpectedly, the environment was good facing the sea, and the linens were very clean. We booked a double sea view room and thought it had an independent bathroom, but it didn't matter. The public one was also very clean and hygienic! The public viewing living room was great, the kitchen was great, and there were simple free ingredients. That night, we saw several little blue penguins on the beach. The blue was super beautiful. It was super cute to see someone sneaking around! Taking pictures of penguins and interacting with them on the beach shore road left an unforgettable impression! The two elderly people played until 10 o'clock in the evening before returning to the hotel. That night, there were 6 young people in the hotel, 4 foreigners, 1 Korean beauty, and 1 Chinese young man (who has been in New Zealand for 8 years and came to play alone during the holiday). It was very happy to chat with him, and thanked him for giving us a pack of Master Kong instant noodles and an egg! It is recommended to live on the 2nd floor. Living on the 1st floor is a wooden building, and people walking on the 2nd floor will hear it! But it is very quiet when you sleep, and it is super beautiful to take pictures of the starry sky at night and the sunrise in the morning!

GGuest UserWe stayed in Oamaru for one night to watch the penguins return to their nests. Although the hotel is small and well-equipped, it is clean and hygienic. The location is also good. It is relatively close to the center of the town, which is convenient for us to return home. The seaside town of Oamaru is also a great place to hang out. The hotel overall is good value for money.
