"While the room was on the smaller side, this was anticipated given that it doesn't offer a private bathroom. The listing indicated a 'separate toilet,' but in reality, it was just a washbasin within the room, and the toilet itself was shared. If privacy for facilities is important to you, I'd strongly advise against booking. Parking was also a significant challenge. The hotel lacks its own car park, requiring guests to find street parking. There are only two spots directly outside the hotel, which are rarely vacant and can be used by non-guests too. The whole street is usually packed with parked cars, making it extremely difficult to find a space. Opposite the hotel are private residences. We found the occupants to be quite rude; they aggressively told us not to park in any seemingly empty spots in front of their properties. This was the only instance of rudeness I encountered during my entire trip to New Zealand; every other local I met was incredibly friendly."

"The landlord is very nice. When you check in with the key, you will receive a small bottle of milk~ This time I booked a cabin room, number 19. It was very nice. I felt like I had a small home in New Zealand~ Parking is available at the door, and each parking space is marked with a room number, one parking space for each family. The room facilities are a little bit old, the exhaust fan is a bit loud, the heater in the bedroom seems to be broken, and finally the heater in the living room is turned on. Since I was in a hurry, I didn’t take any photos. There are McDonald’s, KFC, etc. nearby. When you go out of the hotel and turn a corner, you will reach the main road of the town."

"It’s a vintage hotel, I’m surprised with the lift which is very old type of lift, the design very pretty and retro. Room is quite spacious for 4 adults. The heater is very powerful and strong. The hotel is located near to the town center and precinct street, just a few minutes of walk can reach."

"The sofa bed didn't feel like changing sheets. Because a lot of sand and the sheets inside were nestled together. The room is large and can cook. The bathroom is also very large, in general, the price is very high"

"Because I wanted to see the little penguin 🐧, I had to stay in Omalu for one night and finally chose to punch in the first hotel on the list of this homestay. I really like the decoration style of the hotel, there are many Chinese elements in it, because the owner has stayed in different cities in China for more than 20 years. The most surprising thing is that I actually ate the only Chinese meal in the South Island Tour for breakfast. 😄👍"

The homestay is on the hill in the center of Oamaru, overlooking the entire town and the Pacific Ocean in the distance. Unfortunately, the day we stayed was cloudy and we couldn't see the sunrise. 10 minutes drive from the Penguin Center. The cooking facilities in the house are particularly complete. At first glance, it is prepared for the Chinese. Not only have seasonings, but also rice cookers. This is not available in other hotels. If you prepare a large spoon, it will be 100 points.

Chinese service, attentive and enthusiastic service, the car encountered some problems, the owner has been helping to communicate on the phone, thank you very much! The room is clean and hygienic. It has its own yard and parking is convenient. The car is parked at the door of the room. The motel is right on the main road, making it easy to get in and out. This is a very nice motel, highly recommended!

Facilities: All are quite complete, but the soundproofing is so bad that you can feel the cough next to your ear, and the bed is so soft that your waist will definitely ache the next day after sleeping on it. It is mainly because there are a lot of bugs in the local area, so it is barely 4.5. Environment: There was a Chinese group on the day of check-in. Most of the members were 50-year-old southern aunts and uncles, so please imagine the whole environment on the day. Service: I really thought it was a hotel with a bit of artistic atmosphere after seeing the name, so I placed an order, but it was actually a motel. When checking in, the fat ********* girl's *** and indifferent expression were also very disgusting. After checking in, the various Chinese signs in the room that were visible to the naked eye, saying what you are not allowed to do, and if you do it, you will be fined a certain amount of money, which is also very uncomfortable. I believe that many Chinese must have done various things to cause this, but after all, they are guests, and they don't owe you anything. You can remind the motel, but there is no need to warn them proactively.
