Hotels with Parking in Chichibu

Due to some technical issue, I didn't receive my room number and key number via email. I tried calling the phone number listed upon arrival to confirm, but couldn't get through at all, leaving me waiting outside the hotel for over an hour. I finally found an alternative contact number on another website and was able to get in, but the person who called me was incredibly unhelpful. I even had to cancel my planned dinner, making for a terrible start to my stay. The room itself was clean and satisfactory, which makes the poor service all the more regrettable.

This trip was a bit of an accident. I had seen the famous hot springs in Chichibu, and since I like private baths (kirikiri-furo) and ancient Japanese architecture, I chose this hotel to stay. However, I later discovered that there are indeed private baths (renti-kiri-furo) and Japanese ancient buildings, but the hot springs can only be found at Chichibu Onsen next to Seibu Chichibu Station. When I went there, many of them were closed on weekdays, and there were only 10 hotels. Sauna and hot bath, it's a pity that I didn't get to soak in the hot springs. However, the hotel service is very good. They provide maps and passports for visiting Chichibu, and also provide a very comfortable private sauna service. The bathing pottery in the room is very beautiful and interesting. The room has a building within a building, and there are many ancient wooden pieces. The small coffee table on the tatami on the first floor is very interesting. There is also free sake and beer. The service is very good. Breakfast rice balls It's also delicious

Mainly to feel the atmosphere of the ancient people's accommodation, the service environment is very good, the only small disadvantage is that the large window is a wooden frame, not exactly like the airtight window, the wind will penetrate the room, plus the room is high, even if the heating is very strong, it still feels cold, Especially when going to the toilet (because it is separated from the bedroom), the toilet has no heating, you have to wear a coat to go to the toilet 🤣, so maybe people who are afraid of cold when it is colder at the end of December, the accommodation needs to be considered, next time I will choose to stay before mid-November.

Araki Kousen Ryokan was absolutely lovely and felt very welcoming for our family. This was our first stay at a ryokan in Japan, and while we were initially a little worried it might feel old or uncomfortable, it was actually very clean, cozy, and full of charm. The staff were incredibly kind and made us feel right at home, even helping us secure a dinner reservation at a local restaurant. The onsen was relaxing and the water temperature was just right. Breakfast was a highlight as well—delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and a wonderful way to start the day together. We truly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return with our family again.

We enjoyed the cottage night and BBQ in a naturally rich location. In a quiet atmosphere surrounded by wood 々, the charcoal-grilled dishes are really delicious and you can spend a luxurious time. The cottage is warm and comfortable at night. I think it is a facility that can be used with peace of mind even for people who are new to camping.
