"Everything was good. We got upgraded to a suite. Kind hotel management. However the location for local transport is not accessible, the metro station right outside the hotel was closed by Metro operators for a while"

"We recently stayed at the Hotel Royal Continental in Naples from January 7 to January 9, 2025, and our overall experience was very positive. Location & Safety The hotel is located in one of the safest and most touristic areas of Naples, right on Via Partenope, facing the sea and Castel dell'Ovo. Naples, as a city, is still evolving into a true tourist destination. The city is making significant improvements to attract more visitors, and you can feel that transition happening. This particular area where the hotel is located feels very safe, thanks to continuous police presence. We saw officers patrolling on foot and by car at all hours of the day and night, which gave us peace of mind. The neighborhood is also filled with excellent restaurants offering a wide range of quality food at reasonable prices. Of course, not every place is great, but there are many good options within walking distance. Additionally, the historic center and most major tourist attractions are within walking distance from the hotel. You can take a leisurely stroll and reach the main sights in under an hour. Room & Comfort The seafront location of the hotel is outstanding. The view from our room was beautiful, and we loved opening the panoramic window to let in the fresh sea breeze in the morning and evening. It’s a wonderful way to start and end your day. The room itself was comfortable and well-maintained, with a level of luxury comparable to a 4-star European hotel. However, it's important to note that European hotel standards are different from those in the U.S.. By American standards, this hotel would be closer to a 3-star property. Despite this, the housekeeping staff did a great job cleaning the room daily and replacing towels. Service & Atmosphere The hotel staff is professional and polite, but interactions felt a bit robotic and mechanical. It seemed like they were following routines rather than making genuine connections with guests. That said, room cleanliness was good, and we appreciated the attention to detail in that regard. One thing that stood out is the hotel’s nostalgic 1950s vibe. The hotel seems proud of its mid-century charm, which they promote through signs and advertisements around the property. If you enjoy that type of retro atmosphere, you’ll appreciate this hotel. Breakfast Experience The breakfast at the hotel was excellent. The dining room overlooks the sea, which makes for a lovely breakfast setting. There are several breakfast stations with a wide variety of options, and the food quality was great. Waiters clean the tables and take care of guests throughout breakfast service, which adds a nice touch. We were very satisfied with the overall breakfast experience. Final Thoughts Overall, Hotel Royal Continental is a solid choice for staying in Naples. The location is its biggest strength, offering stunning views, proximity to restaurants, and easy access to the historic center. it provides a comfortable and memorable experience with beautiful sea views and a nostalgic atmosphere. Would we stay here again? Yes, for the views, location, and breakfast!"

"The room was very clean and comfortable. One thing to note is that the lower level of the double bed is a bit low, but it's not a big problem. The six-bed room has a balcony, which makes people feel happy. The public toilet is very clean and convenient. The most praiseworthy thing is that the guy at the front desk is very friendly. He took the initiative to help me carry my suitcase up and down the stairs, and asked me if I wanted to take a taxi to the airport. This is the first time I have met such friendly staff, and they are very considerate!"

"The hotel's butler service is super good, with a detailed introduction to every place. The room is new and comfortable, and the sleep is very comfortable. It is also very close to the station, and it only takes five minutes to walk to the station."

"Hotel is beautiful, could have a few sunbeds on the roof as no where to lay just sit. However the location is literally in the ghetto, it’s a run down area with nothing around you and you don’t really want to be venturing out at night in Naples or the local area"

"Hotel room is big and clean. I like the accessibility of the location. Close to train stations, bus terminal and many choices of food to choose from. Take note the toiletries are not provided. However it can be purchased from the concierge. Francesco the reception is very helpful. Good recommendation of places to go for my first day in Naples!"

"Ottima struttura situata nei pressi del centro. Fermata della metro a due passi molto comoda. Stanza al quinto piano di un palazzo, molto pulita e con tutto il necessario per soggiornare. Stanno costruendo l’ascensore quindi sicuramente in futuro sarà ancora più comodo."

"This hotel is good and the service is in place. Close to a church, the environment is elegant. The waiter was very good and the breakfast was good. Because there is a certain distance from the city center, it is especially suitable for self-driving friends."

"We stayed at Gram Suites for 4 nights. The location is very convenient—about a 10-minute walk from the metro/train station and just a few minutes from the bus stop to the city center, which made getting around Naples really easy for us. Max, the host, is incredibly friendly and helpful. We really appreciated his warm hospitality and quick responses to any questions we had. The room itself is cleaned daily, which is a nice hotel touch, but the overall vibe feels a bit more like a hostel or Airbnb: cozy and casual rather than super polished. There were a couple of issues during our stay (sorry Max, we were too shy to mention these in person): Noise: The room is close to a road, so it can get quite noisy at night. If you are sensitive to noise like my friend, I would definitely recommend bringing earplugs (she could barely sleep) Mosquitoes: We had quite a few mosquitoes in the room and ended up killing 1–2 every day. Despite using mosquito spray, both my friend and I got bitten several times. Strangely, we didn’t have this problem anywhere else in Naples."
