"Beautiful cozy hotel, close to the railway station. In the room there are 2 bottles of water as a gift, a mini-bar, slippers, many soft towels. There is enough space for one person. Despite the small area of ​​the room, everything is comfortable, thought out, compact. But there is no kettle. Breakfast is a la carte. "We recently stayed at the Hotel Royal Continental in Naples from January 7 to January 9, 2025, and our overall experience was very positive. Location & Safety The hotel is located in one of the safest and most touristic areas of Naples, right on Via Partenope, facing the sea and Castel dell'Ovo. Naples, as a city, is still evolving into a true tourist destination. The city is making significant improvements to attract more visitors, and you can feel that transition happening. This particular area where the hotel is located feels very safe, thanks to continuous police presence. We saw officers patrolling on foot and by car at all hours of the day and night, which gave us peace of mind. The neighborhood is also filled with excellent restaurants offering a wide range of quality food at reasonable prices. Of course, not every place is great, but there are many good options within walking distance. Additionally, the historic center and most major tourist attractions are within walking distance from the hotel. You can take a leisurely stroll and reach the main sights in under an hour. Room & Comfort The seafront location of the hotel is outstanding. The view from our room was beautiful, and we loved opening the panoramic window to let in the fresh sea breeze in the morning and evening. It’s a wonderful way to start and end your day. The room itself was comfortable and well-maintained, with a level of luxury comparable to a 4-star European hotel. However, it's important to note that European hotel standards are different from those in the U.S.. By American standards, this hotel would be closer to a 3-star property. Despite this, the housekeeping staff did a great job cleaning the room daily and replacing towels. Service & Atmosphere The hotel staff is professional and polite, but interactions felt a bit robotic and mechanical. It seemed like they were following routines rather than making genuine connections with guests. That said, room cleanliness was good, and we appreciated the attention to detail in that regard. One thing that stood out is the hotel’s nostalgic 1950s vibe. The hotel seems proud of its mid-century charm, which they promote through signs and advertisements around the property. If you enjoy that type of retro atmosphere, you’ll appreciate this hotel. Breakfast Experience The breakfast at the hotel was excellent. The dining room overlooks the sea, which makes for a lovely breakfast setting. There are several breakfast stations with a wide variety of options, and the food quality was great. Waiters clean the tables and take care of guests throughout breakfast service, which adds a nice touch. We were very satisfied with the overall breakfast experience. Final Thoughts Overall, Hotel Royal Continental is a solid choice for staying in Naples. The location is its biggest strength, offering stunning views, proximity to restaurants, and easy access to the historic center. it provides a comfortable and memorable experience with beautiful sea views and a nostalgic atmosphere. Would we stay here again? Yes, for the views, location, and breakfast!"

"Not much experience in European hotels, but I’d imagine this is a typical business hotel with no frills. Basic room, basic service, breakfast to give you energy, but nothing more than that. The room had a moldy smell and was very basic. Location is very good if you need to access the central train station as it’s literally connected. It’s not a bad hotel for the price you pay and keep your expectations in line."

"I think it is a pretty good hotel if you go to or come to the airport late at night or early in the morning. The room is small and there is no refrigerator, but the staff is kind and will book the car properly if you specify the time. Not a taxi, but a regular passenger car came, so it would probably be a white taxi that is affiliated with the hotel. The price is fixed 25 euros. It was about 10 minutes to ride at 4:30 in the early morning, so I felt a little high, but it was good that there was no worry about being further swallowed (laughs). Also, I couldn't eat breakfast because it was early in the morning, but the staff gave me coffee and juice. The location is subtle to use as a sightseeing hotel normally. It is about 2 minutes walk from the tram 1 station, but there are few shops around. It takes about 15 minutes by tram from Galibaldi station."

"I had a short overnight stay so the location is ideal about 400m walking from the main train station. Although a good location it is not a good area at night, a lot of homeless people but there are also some nice restaurants on Garabaldi Square and good coffee shops nearby for pastries and coffee for breakfast. The Hotel reception is on the 2nd floor of the building, big staircase and as others say no lift. Not good for older people or if you have big luggage to carry. The Checkin was fine, the man explained the basics and took me to my room. The cleanliness was perfect, so clean, plenty of fresh white towels, and bathroom was spotless, no problem there. He also gave me the remote control for the air conditioning and that also worked really great so you could sleep well. Bed was fine, seemed clean also, as someone said Quirky decoration. And surprisingly quiet. So if you aren’t after a fancy hotel room it’s fine. Only Basic liquid soap amenity supplied. The Front door is locked at 8 pm, and the hotel rooms access, they give you a keys to access, so it seems quite safe, closing early in that area is probably a good thing . Easy to walk to the Old Town and all the sights."

"I am very satisfied with this hotel during this trip. The location is average but the hotel has several shuttle buses to the city center every day. The hotel can also help call a taxi at a more favorable price. You can see the volcano from your room! The service is also very good. It's rare to have a real star experience.
