The hotel I originally wanted to book was fully booked, so I immediately booked this one after seeing it was newly renovated in 2025 and had five-star reviews. It's located in a very quiet neighborhood with security cameras on every house, so the security measures are excellent. The room is very clean and beautiful, and the bathroom is spotless. You can tell the host is very, very meticulous about cleanliness. Since the stairs and room are covered with white carpet, I left my luggage on the ground floor and didn't take it upstairs. You have to take off your shoes before going upstairs, which I completely understand – I wouldn't want to get the pristine white carpet dirty either. You might want to bring a pair of clean slippers. The kitchen floor is tiled, which can be a bit chilly in winter. The kitchen is shared, and you can use the microwave to heat up cooked food and boil water, but cooking full meals isn't allowed. The host also thoughtfully prepared some snacks, including a delicious African snack called 'Qinqin'. The warm-hearted host chatted with me for a long time in the evening. It was the first time I realized my 'broken' English could sustain such a long conversation with a foreigner! The host is incredibly warm and thoughtful; the kettle is always filled with cold water, ready to boil at the push of a button. They even thoughtfully called an Uber for me in the morning. In short, the room is very clean and beautiful, and the host is warm and attentive – you can check in with complete peace of mind.
The three-dimensional towel rack in the bathroom is such a thoughtful design, kudos!
Also, a suggestion for Ctrip: Ctrip's map showed the hotel in the city center, and we planned to walk there. But it was too cold, so we called an Uber. Only when we arrived did we realize the direction was completely wrong, and it wasn't in the bustling downtown area at all. I hope Ctrip corrects this immediately. It's a real pity to be misled by Ctrip's map when you're in a foreign country and don't speak the language, causing such inconvenience.

I have been so happy and productive here for 16 nights. Small but decent room. Great front desk staff and cleaning staff. I would not change anything. Thank you all 🤝

I enjoyed my stay here. The room was modern with ample tea and coffee provided, and I was easily able to adjust the heating. There was little noise from other guests or outside and I would most definitely stay here again if I return to Sheffield for a concert - the proximity to the bus station is also excellent.

Guest UserThe hotel reception was very friendly. We arrived late, around 9:30 PM, because we were shopping at Bicester Village. The hotel is next to a Holiday Inn and has a decent-sized parking lot; it costs 6 pounds for an overnight stay, deducted from the deposit. Our room rate included dinner, but since the restaurant closed at 9 PM, the hotel arranged for us to eat at the bar next door. We ordered steak and fish and chips, which were surprisingly good, especially the steak. The room and bed were both very spacious, and the breakfast was excellent, featuring smoked salmon. Everyone in our group agreed it was great. There's also a traditional British reception room near the entrance, perfect for taking photos!

One day of work related visit. Very decent hotel in the heart of Sheffield with great amenities and good value for the price.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, granted a complimentary late check-out with no fuss.
Breakfast was really great, apart from not serving hot chocolate drink.
Will definitely stay here again next time I visit Sheffield.
Highly recommended

This is the second time I have stayed in the Leopold. It is a basic hotel, but delivers high-quality rooms, a good breakfast, and a perfect location for exploring Sheffield. The building is curious, as it is a converted school. It also opens directly (at the back) on to a pedestrian plaza with multiple bars and restaurants.

I check the reviews before deciding to stay here. It’s a budget hotel, but parking is easy ( additional cost) and there’s an EV charger available, which was very convenient. It’s only a 10 mins walk to the cinema and there’s are plenty restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

GillyBA great hotel in a good location for visitors to Sheffield. The advantage of staying slightly out of the city centre for free parking and a peaceful location. The rooms are clean, spacious and quiet in lovely grounds. We had 4 rooms with our party which were booked at a reasonable price and 2 were upgraded on arrival which was a bonus. The staff were friendly and welcoming especially the lady on reception. Would happily stay here again

NavvyJust a quick overnight stay to attend a graduation at Sheffield Uni. Very clean, comfortable and quiet, with large rooms, fairly modern bathrooms and a spacious car park. There are several convenience stores and takeaways nearby (10-15min walk or 3min drive). Only took around 30 minutes by car to reach the city centre and the university, in moderate traffic. Not a breakfast person myself but a buffet continental breakfast was included, consisting of the usual cereals, yoghurt, croissants, juice, tea, coffee...cooked breakfast was available for what seemed a reasonable price on top. All in all a nice, hassle-free stay.
