MM356499****It takes only 8 minutes to get to Mao Zedong's former residence from the hotel. It is very close to the farmland across the downhill road. The accommodation environment is good and quite quiet. The navigation guided us to a small road that is not easy to walk on. The boss made a video call to teach us how to get there. He was very considerate. The hotel has a large parking lot, which is very convenient. The food is generous in size and the price is very reasonable in the scenic area. It tastes great. I wish the boss a prosperous business, abundant financial resources and everything goes well. By the way, the show is also good, and the ticket price is also very good if you buy it from the boss.

XXianxianx.The most wise choice for this trip to Lushan is to choose the right homestay! The boss and his family are simple and enthusiastic. They take the initiative to contact the scenic spot in advance to inform the reservation process. They also helped to get the vehicle pass. When they picked up the station for free from the high-speed rail station, they were full of enthusiasm, which made us feel more cordial when we first arrived. The rooms are spacious and bright, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the sanitation is very clean. All meals are solved at the homestay. The green vegetables grown in the vegetable garden are fresh and delicious. The braised pork of Mao's is authentic and delicious. The elderly cannot eat spicy food. The boss also specially adjusted the taste. The homestay is super close to the former residence and the square scenic spot. It can be reached within a few minutes' walk. There is no need to hurry to travel with elderly children. I will definitely stay here next time I come to Lushan! Really great! Worth recommending 👍🏻

GGuest UserThis is a very typical rural B&B, with a restaurant on the first floor and guest rooms on the second and third floors. The B&B is located in a village at the entrance of the scenic spot. Parking is allowed and pets are allowed. It is about 500 meters away from the former residence of the elders and the Bronze Statue Square. The owner's service is warm and the room is clean. The facilities are simple and outdated. The bathroom did not provide bath towels and there was no shower. The bedding may be too basic and make a twitching sound when you turn over. In Shaoshan in March, the temperature at night was very low, so I needed to turn on the air conditioner, but the sound from the outdoor air conditioner was loud, like a tractor. When I turned off the air conditioner, the same sound came from the outdoor air conditioners in other rooms, and the quilt was a little thin. Great choice for light sleepers. It’s okay to just pass by on a self-driving tour and stay overnight.

In the scenic area, everyone must be worried about the high price and poor taste of the food, this one will not be at all! Locals eat here, Mao's braised pork, the meat is square, the color is red and attractive, the entrance is soft and sweet, fat but not greasy, the lean meat part is not wood, every mouth is super satisfying, fresh and healthy, eat at ease. And the price is very close to the people, the price is super high. The proprietress helped to apply for the pass, travel guide, and tell us where to park the car. Arranged properly.

GGuest UserThe couple running this renovated traditional home in Mao's home village are very attentive to guests' needs, even on the busiest day of the year, December 26th, Chairman Mao's birthday. My partner was coming down with a cold and got some ginger soup to drink. Additionally, when we screwed up our schedule and almost couldn't make our train out of Shaoshan, with no train available to reschedule, the couple arranged for the husband to drive us to the station for little more than gas money. It's up a slight hill from the other inns and allows one to get a bit of peace and quiet, again, even on the busiest day of the year, when Shaoshan is very worth a visit for anyone interested in Mao Zedong's legacy, given the number of Chinese people who show up to sing, dance, wave various flags and give speeches. Don't make our mistake and schedule the Chairman Mao memorial hall for a full visit instead of rushing though it. The exhibit is full of pictures and dioramas and has English captions for most things.
I also wish we'd had time to explore the pagoda on the hill behind the guesthouse.

MM490772****This trip to Lushan is too good for the hotel! Shanggeyali is really in the core location of the city. Downstairs is Xintiandi Pedestrian Street. You can go shopping and eat when you go out. Ruixing, Guxuan and various night snack stalls, authentic Lushan restaurants are all around, and it is super convenient for food shopping. The front desk service was particularly warm, the check-in was fast and intimate, and the questions were particularly patient. The room was much more spacious than expected, the new Chinese design was very elegant, the hygiene was super in place, the bedding was clean and odorless, and there was no dust in the corner. Living comfortably and conveniently, I will choose this one next time I come to Lushan, and I have already recommended it to my friends!

MM10478****It is very close to the city hall. There is a relatively large supermarket nearby, which is very convenient. There is a Hunan restaurant next to it, which tastes good! The facilities are a bit old, like home decoration from more than ten years ago, European furniture, but the color of the velvet on the bedside has changed. There is no bottled water in the room. You can boil water at the tea machine in the corridor. The door handle of the bathroom shower room is broken. There were black spots inside the quilt. Because it was raining, we turned on the air conditioner to remove the moisture. We asked the staff to change the quilt and they said it was dust blown down by us turning on the air conditioner. Fortunately, it was replaced later.
