Hotels in La Villette, Paris

Pros: - good breakfast (loved the bread and butter options - location close to gare du nord, and relatively not far from the touristy places one would want to see in Paris - coffee machine in the room - close to a minimarket (a carrefour) and lots of restaurants - clean room - some breakfast staff were quite friendly - pillows were nice and full Cons: - reception staff lacking friendliness (then again, this is Paris, and I’ve found people to be quite rude so I guess this is on brand for the city). Except for the lady who checked us out, she was quite lovely. - no slippers in the small cabinet of items you can purchase. When we asked if they had slippers, the lady at the desk immediately said that’s only available in 4-star hotels and they were 3 stars. Sounds about right when you consider the service. We were asking so we could purchase a pair of slippers for the room, as we had been able to do in a not even 3-star hotel in Lithuania. So to be judged immediately as if we were asking to be provided with slippers implied she thought we were thinking that the hotel was fancier than it actually was and was quite off-putting. The woman who sat beside her also kept either feeding her answers or talked while we were talking to her, and in a snotty manner at that. - room smaller than what you can deduce from the photo, but still ok as we were only there to sleep. - shower ridiculously small, and the floor was quite slippery. Shower also randomly got super hot and then when you move the tap even just a little bit, it would be ice-cold. - airconditioning in the room did not work. We turned it on and it only spewed hot air.

Very nice location with a lot of restaurants and convenient stores nearby. The nearest metro station which is Riget is just 350 meters away and can connect to the main Paris transportation network easily. Only negative thing is they serve very simple breakfast and during our 6 days stay the menu never changes. We gave up after the 3rd day and only had coffee for 5th & 6th days.

I'm a Paris-lover, so any place for living here is good for me. The pros of this hostel are that every bed has curtains, every room its bathroom, and there is a soap in a bathroom, and location of course. Also, I slept very well here despite the fact I had 3-4 neighbours in this shared room. The cons: - the blanket is not in the duvet cover, it's not very hygienic. - the bed bugs 🫢🥲 not so many, I woked up during the night just once, but there are some visible signals they exist such as small spots, bite marks -the necessity to validate your electronic key every day.

Wonderful hotel, very clean, very welcoming, situated near the La Villette recreational complex. The room was cosy, perfect balance in terms of not too cold with colours nor not too dark. The Queen sized bed was magnificent but the pillows weren't of my standard, as I found no support in that, but of course, crucially, pillow comfort is subjective to the user. The room was spacious with plenty of natural lighting as well as enough artificial lighting too. There is a desk area and some convenient wall storages, as well as an inbuilt wardrobe for further additional storage. The TV had French channels mostly and understandably, but this being The Garden Inn, the TV is setup to cast your apps from your phone to watch on the TV, but note, this is only an Android feature. All in all, a relaxing and joyous place to stay. The area is nice and quiet and away from the street noise. However, the fellow guests on the same floor had no decency to respect other guests, as they kept closing their doors heavy handedly and making noise whilst walking along the corridor. But putting that aside, the hotel quality and services is what you'd expect to find from the Garden Inn.

New and mostly clean hotel room, except that I found some hair on the towel shelf underneath the sink. The gym has nice looking but limited equipments, wish there are more for this price. Staff memers are lovely. Location is 5 minute walk with luggage from Rosa Parks RER train station, not bad.

A very pleasant stay! The hotel has a great location, convenient transportation, attentive service, and clean, comfortable rooms that made me feel right at home. Highly recommended! This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in! Everything was perfect from check-in to check-out. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the facilities were excellent, and I would definitely choose this hotel again. Thank you for the hotel's outstanding service! The staff were friendly, the place was clean and tidy, and the price was reasonable, making it a great value for money and a good choice for travel accommodation.

The location is quite far out, past the 18th and 19th arrondissements. It takes over half an hour by metro to get to the city center, and you can hear the subway at night. Although the front desk staff were very friendly, the management needs improvement. The beds weren't made with linens, and I had to go downstairs to the front desk to ask for them. This happened not only to me but also to one of my roommates and two other people on the same floor. The facilities are very limited. In a 4-person room, there was only one outlet by the door and one USB port by the bed, which was incredibly inconvenient. Each floor has one women's and one men's restroom. The women's shower room has three stalls, but on our floor, one was always locked, and another hadn't even been renovated (perhaps under maintenance?), leaving only one functional, which was very inconvenient. There were no hair dryers in the bathrooms, and the front desk didn't lend any out either. Finally, it was understandable to have a roommate check in at 12 AM, but someone checked in at 5 AM! It was truly not a pleasant stay. I can't remember why I chose this place; I thought the reviews were good. I'll definitely have to research more carefully next time.

Nice things include cleanliness, having a metro station only a few steps away and the room is newly furnished. The negatives were having a very cramped bathroom with a barely usable tiny sink and and a tight shower area, the kettle smelled weird like something had been soaked up in there which resulted in a disgusting taste with whatever beverage you would be making, the neighbourhood felt a bit unsafe and with no proper dining out options, and lastly the fact that one must give away their room key every time when leaving is unpleasant.

Although we were assigned a last room, it was very clean and the bed was spotless. The location was excellent, just a 3-minute walk from the subway station. The soundproofing was also very good; it was quiet for all three nights we stayed.

It was just Fantastic and everything we really hoped for there was a small Grocery Store next Door and the Concierge was just being awesome and understanding definetly my go to hotel in Paris from now on.
