Very horrible hotel for black female travellers. I stayed at the Originals with my friend for 3 nights, then another 2 nights. We pre-booked and paid for the 3 nights in FULL before arrival. Upon arrival, we were charged a deposit of €150 Euros which was explained to be a security deposit to be returned after checkout.I had no issues with that and focused on exploring Paris. There was a day my room wasn’t cleaned and I complained to a mixed lady at the hotel reception politely to inform the cleaner and she condescendingly looked at me and blurted “I’m not the cleaner”. I never asked her to be one, I only informed her so she can tell the cleaners to make a stop at my room and refill the shower gel, replace soap and toilet paper. The day I checked out, I missed my flight due to the Paris traffic and had to reschedule my flight to the next available date which was in 48 hours which meant I needs to stay in Paris for another 2 nights. I headed back to the hotel. I don’t know why but our cards refused to work despite being funded. We had some Euros cash left in cash and paid for one extra night. The next day, we asked to extend but our cards wouldn’t work. We informed them that we needed to get some sleep but would try an ATM or go to a BDC to change some Dollars. In between, the cleaner came to the room and yanked off our key card cutting off the light supply, we were barraged with calls from the reception threatening that security was going to escort us out of the room. It’s wild because most of their staff is black and yet they treated us like ****. We saw how white guests were treated and black guests and the difference was clear. Maybe they had an assumption and became discriminatory towards us. Note that 4 nights out of 5 was already paid in FULL and they had a security deposit of over 200 Euros with them. We had to abandon everything and rush to an ATM to withdraw more cash💰 to pay for the final day. Let’s not get into the fact that one of their staff ******* almost tried to be ****** with me. I got into the elevator to go and get water at the restaurant on the 8th floor, he kept looking at my boobs and made suggestive comments about wanting to spend the night with me. He also insisted on a hug. I cried from the experience of that hotel and very horrified. As a travel content creator, I will document my experience with videos when I’m back home and share YouTube videos. If you’re a Nigerian or black woman, please avoid THE ORIGINALS. I was excited to be here but it turned into a nightmare. As a business owner myself and CEO of 3 thriving companies, I saw some many lapses in their customer service. The entire place needs a staff overhaul.

Nice room and nice staff, the hotel is so modern and close to bus stop and metro.

The top roof restaurant is beautiful but I was disappointed with the location, on a super dirty street, lots of garbage on the floor and did not feel very safe. Room was ok and staff not very knowledgeable.

Decent hotel - fine for the price but not really a 4 star hotel in my opinion. Location was alright. It’s relatively easy to get there (10 min walk from the metro, at the end of the 4 Porte de Clignancourt line) but it’s not really by anything in itself and environment was not nice. For my room, size was adequate but was pretty basic and cleanliness left a little to be desired (there was a random long hair on my towel?). Staff is nice and helpful though.

Room is very clean, staffs are very helpful and nice, but the closest metro station is 12 minutes away.

I booked 4 nights but only stayed 2 nights, then left the hotel. The Hotel was refusing my request of cancellation or refund. Worst of this hotel policy is; I booked 4 nights, 4 nights x euro 50, direct debited from credit card, and I do not know when will the deposit to be credited / refunded to the account. (The hotel doesn’t accept cash deposit). The hotel is stated 4 stars in trip.com, but the room with no small desk ／no wooden edge desk, no chair, no closet and no pantry (only a weak low metal stand, I can’t work on my computer without a small wooden edge desk. I was travel alone, the environment of the hotel seems not safe to me. WORST EXPERIENCE IN THIS HOTEL.

Breakfast is too simple, and cannot call the front desk, and the neighborhood is not over safe
