Reservations team was so responsive and accommodating. Front desk staffs were more transactional. They can't seem to like interacting with guests since by the time we arrived until we checked out. F and B staffs were more courteous like saying Hi and hello. Housekeeping was helpful. Aircon works well. Room is clean. I love the hot and cold shower as well. We love the easy access to the pool. We had the room on the ground floor which is good for us. Minor issues : - they don't provide extra bed for extra person. Room towel as well. Very limited. However, we managed to ask pool towels from Hk team since we are mostly swimming and we really need extra towels. - front desk is just until 10pm so if you need anything, you have to check it before reception closes. But actually they have guard at night who was so helpful as well. I requested a bath mat from front desk and nothing came until i met a guy from Hk and he sent one. - though the front desk was not so helpful. Other team was able to fulfill their lapses. So its okay. We are not demanding people. its just that we lacked those in our room which are basic. Housekeeping must to check on this before check in time so we can reduce our time and effort. But overall, we had a great stay. We felt at home and we enjoyed the big pool. My son had a great time at the pool. The resort is like 5 minutes drive away from the beach. But theres tricycle outside. Kuya driver was so nice to us. Didnt demand for a high price unlike other tricycle drivers. If you need good tricycle driver. His plate number is #357.

I stayed at this place with my wife for 5 nights. We are long term travelers. - location: the hotel is a bit far off, you will need to rent a scooter at the hotel to explore the area. Currently, roadworks makes the access a bit difficult but possible - staff: lovely staff that genuinely takes care about you. The receptionist (Sam) was really helpful with transportation advice as well as for any other query. - rooms: rooms are spacious and serviced daily. The AC works well and is silent (any long term traveler will know the value of this). There are blackout curtains and the beds are quite comfy - food: we loved the food at this place. The menu clearly displays the German ownership of the hotel and the portions are European sized but local food is available as well. - surroundings: the pool is clean and very nice, the area is surrounded by resident bungalows to which you have no access. All in all the hotel is value for money, certainly partly due to its location...

The staff were friendly and helpful in explaining what things to see and how to get there. The room was as advertised, the size was correct and as we selected the king bed ocean view, the big balcony was perfect to enjoy the view. We loved the pools. The hotel location is quiet, if you don’t mind the neighbourhood roosters (pretty much everywhere). As the hotel is located a bit far from the town though, they provide a complementary shuttle to get to go to the beach. Of you want more freedom and as a tuk tuk ride cost around 200P one way, we would recommend renting a scooter to go around. We rented one at the hotel (Suzuki Bugman street) for 400P, it’s 50P more than what you could get in town, but it’s convenient. The scooter carried both of us to the chocolate hills, and all other places we wanted to see. The breakfasts were pretty straightforward with three choices, Filipino Tosilog (more a grilled porc), a continental that was my choice after trying the tosilog, and an Asian one, my partner tried the dumpling and well this was a real disappointment. There is one thing I really didn’t liked is that the coffee isn’t brewed, then if you want a small cup of brewed is 150P and the juice is additional charge of 190P. All hotel everywhere have brewed coffee and juice included with breakfast. Something I told the hotel’s owner. Would we recommend that hotel? Definitely yes, for the room, the view, the staff.

Das Amihan Resort liegt perfekt, sehr ruhig, etwas abseits des Trubels, ca. 260m entfernt vom belebten und beliebten Alona Beach im Grünen. Zum Strand kann man bei Tageslicht trotz der schlecht befestigten Straße, in ca. 10min. laufen. Nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit empfehle ich allerdings ein Trike für 100 php ab/bis Mc Donalds bzw. Amihan zu nehmen. Das Resort strahlt eine sehr ruhige und angenehme Atmosphäre aus in der man sich sofort sehr wohlfühlt. Besonders der offene, großzügige Restaurationsbereich mit Pool läd zum längeren verweilen ein. Dort wird morgens, ein vielfältiges und sehr leckeres Frühstück al'a carte serviert. Toast, Croissants, Bacon, Beans, Baguette, Marmelade und frisches Obst mit gutem Kaffee und vieles andere garantieren einen tollen Start in den Tag. Mittagessen und Abendbrot wird ebenfalls frisch zubereitet. Die Preise im Restaurant empfinde ich als durchaus günstig und gerechtfertigt hinsichtlich der Qualität der Speisen. Das Personal ist durchgehend freundlich und kompetent. Mein Zimmer, Doppelzimmer Deluxe im ersten Stock, war ansprechend, mit großem Flachbildschirm, einfach ausgestattet. Das Bett ziemlich weich und groß. Die vorhandene Klimaanlage ist sehr effizient und absolut leise. Der Balkon hatte ein tolles, mit bunten Kissen ausgestattetes Sofa , einen Tisch und ein Gestell für nasse Wäsche und Pool Blick. Die einzigen Mankos waren der fehlende Schrank, kein Licht am Bett und die älteren Armaturen im Bad. Warmes Wasser war 24 Stunden verfügbar, was nicht selbstverständlich ist. Mein Fazit : Ein wirklich nettes,kleines Resort unter guter Leitung in dem man sich so richtig wohl fühlen kann.

We have been a group of 7 friends a week staying. The rooms are large, modern, new and beautiful (the only one that had no hot water (i didn't need it, so I didn't say it), and sometimes they didn't re-shampoo when they saw it had finished). The swimming pool is exceptional and the staff very friendly and efficient. You can give yourself a massage in the same room. No dinner is served, but you can take it or charge it and bring it. It is all very clean and the garden very careful. The quality-price relationship is excellent! We asked if we could checkout a little later and they told us that if (2 hours more but paying 1500 php), I think it would have cost us nothing to let us out a little later... It is away from the center, This brings you a great tranquility and silence, although you always depend on a transportation.

We settled into a studio room. The toilet and shower were combined, the shower was a little broken, it was inconvenient to wash, there was no water pressure. The air conditioner in the room is very noisy. The room has a kettle, cups, plates, we were also given coffee and tea bags, two small bottles of water. The administrator is constantly absent from the reception. We wanted to have breakfast in the morning, but all the cafes are closed in the morning. They couldn’t even find where to buy water from them. The hotel area is large, but nothing is clear, there are no signs

I wish I had seen the reviews here before I booked. But I did like the size of the apartments, so perhaps this is why there were good reviews on another site. Not all the rooms have bedside tables, and I have not seen any bedlamps, either; the ceiling lights are very bright and there is no way of adjusting the brightness. So in the evening, I just kept the other lights in the apartment on while the bedroom lights were off, to simulate 'dimness' in the bedroom. My flashlight happened to be weak, and my booklight was not that great, so I strained my eyes for a few nights reading. Not all bathrooms will have towel hooks, but there are hangers in the dresser, though nowhere else to really hang wet items, except in the dresser. You can improvise by hanging the towel/hanger over the corner of the divider for the shower, or the corner of the dresser. The kitchenette has enough glasses, mugs, plates, eating utensils and cooking utensils and pots. There is an electric kettle and a water jug. The airconditioning is good, and there is an additional ceiling fan or two. Pool is nice. So these are pluses. But the customer service is really poor. There is almost never anyone at the reception, and it is the security guard who does everything, and who, perhaps conveniently for the managers/owners, can only answer few questions pertaining to the place, and cannot make adjustments to your booking or respond to requests. The place doesn't respond to emails or phone calls, either. The security guards and a couple of the housekeeping staff are kind, but some bathroom things I forgot whilst moving to another room were thrown away and the others were only returned to me when I asked for them. The place is not so near to the beach, either, and it can be a miserable walk, with tricycle and car smoke emissions, barking dogs and muddy paths. Transportation charges can be illegally high in Panglao. It would be a risk to book here, however nice the apartments, especially since travel schedules can change and one may have special requests or emergencies.
