This hotel is located away from the main market. Excellent location for nature lover. All the rooms gives a beautiful hill view. There is a small garden, excellent for a morning cup of tea or evening snacks. There are few restaurants nearby also. The hotel also has a travel desk who can arrange cars for local siteseeing. I wouldn't recommend breakfast or dinner at the hotel since options at the main market and nearby hotel are better.

Property is bang at the main market. This is an advantage. The view from the hotel is awesome. All the staff are courteous and pamper you. This is core for any hospitality industry. The rooms are nice and have a great view. Different categories. I got an upgrade and it was simply great. Food was nice. I opted for breakfast and dinner. When it is cold, it is good to eat dinner in the restaurant. There is a high tea in the evening ***** with snacks and kashmir special. The ambience of the hi tea lounge is simply awesome. Overall a great experience and i strongly recommend this hotel. No hotel is perfect and you may have some teething issues. The key is that they are resolved. This hotel at one time was frequently visited by the bollywood biggies. It is an old hotel and some may find it different.

Location of the ' homestay' please bear in mind, its a homestay and not a hotel, is a little far from the town centre market. The rooms are spacious and more or less comfortable. However they are not offering any room heating equipment and it's a major let down in the cold. Mind you the rooms become extremely cold at night and even though they provide as many blankets you need, but the presence of heater is sorely missed. The homestay manager is soft spoken and attentive and tried to solve all our issues to the best of his intentions and i must appreciate his help as without it our stay would have been even more painful. As per him their restaurant was under renovation and due to the remote location of the homestay, getting any food from the market center was always a pain and needed prior planning
