We stayed in kashmir house, pahalgam during our trip to kashmir. We just stayed for one night and the experience was good. It is not a very luxurious property, but ideal for people who want to have a short stopover at pahalgam overnight. We stayed here in october, so the weather was pleasant. Location: located right by the main chandanwari road, around 0. 5km away from pahalgam market area. Rooms: rooms were well furnished with wooden panelling. Appropriate for the price bathrooms: clean and spacious with hot water available round the clock. Only drawback was that windows of the bathrooms of some rooms were not covered properly from outside view. So we had to check a couple of rooms before deciding on one which was properly covered. Service: service by the staff was also very good. They also arranged taxi for sightseeing. Rates of taxi are fixed by the union and rate card was available at the reception. Restaurant: there is a pure veg restaurant attached to the property. The food was average. Suggestions: overall for the price we paid, the stay was pleasant. The bathrooms windows in some rooms could be better covered from outside view for more privacy. Apart from that it is a good choice for tourists visiting pahalgam

GGuest UserJahangir cottage is an austere clean and hygienic place of stay with a touch of home. I travel-led solo and i felt completely at home owing to the efforts of dr jahangir the proprietor. He is well-read and provides excellent suggestions for travel whenever sought. This place stands true to its tagline - come as guests and leave as family. I would strongly recommend jahangir cottage to solo travellers and families alike.

GGuest UserThe staff is warm and considerate, food is awesome and since this resort is located right next to the forest reserve area, i wish these guys would use more environment friendly items i. E. Avoid plastic toothbrushes, combs, water bottles etc.

GGuest UserLocation of the ' homestay' please bear in mind, its a homestay and not a hotel, is a little far from the town centre market. The rooms are spacious and more or less comfortable. However they are not offering any room heating equipment and it's a major let down in the cold. Mind you the rooms become extremely cold at night and even though they provide as many blankets you need, but the presence of heater is sorely missed. The homestay manager is soft spoken and attentive and tried to solve all our issues to the best of his intentions and i must appreciate his help as without it our stay would have been even more painful. As per him their restaurant was under renovation and due to the remote location of the homestay, getting any food from the market center was always a pain and needed prior planning
