The hotel front desk unfortunately assembled us into a room that recently has been disinfected and there was a heavy strong poison smell . Later on i communicated with the front desk and immediately they noticed the room was not suitable for people to stay and moved us to another room. The point is why didn’t they certify the room was safe or not to stay? I presume the front desk person who assembled the first room was not happy to have a foreigner customer . The rooms facing the side have ver limited window view but the other ones facing the road have a beautiful view of the seashore.

Onomichi is really beautiful. The environment near the hotel is very good. There are many delicious foods nearby. The location is first-class. It is opposite the beach. It is convenient to go anywhere. There are also parking spaces.

It's a little far from JR Onomichi Station. I walked there for more than ten minutes with my luggage. I could store my luggage. The room was small but well-equipped. It was quite comfortable for a solo traveler. The most surprising thing was that it included breakfast. The breakfast was very exquisite and the quantity was enough. It was a standard Japanese breakfast. It was worth the money. But if I wanted to go out to the nearest Lawson to buy something in the middle of the night, there were few street lights on the road and it was quite dark.

Everything else is good! The room was pretty clean and the view was nice. Onomichi is considered a third-tier small city, and hotel prices are very cheap, so it shouldn’t be too harsh. but, 1. But, but, but, while dining in the restaurant on our last morning, a *rat* appeared in the restaurant! ! ! I saw a mouse in a hotel for the first time! Rats are smaller than Chinese rats and have thin faces. Japanese rat species are different. The mouse scurried away along the wall of the bar. I originally wanted to respond to the waiter, but considering the Japanese people dining around me and the fact that this was my last day, I didn't say anything. I checked out with my brother with a smile. Based on the above two points, I can only give onomichi royal hotel a failing grade. The location of this hotel is not particularly good. After coming out of Onomichi Station, you have to walk about 1km. In fact, the hotels in front of the station are very good. If you go to Onomichi next time, you should learn from this lesson.
