The room was clean and comfortable, but the photos online didn’t fully match the actual space, which was a bit disappointing.
However, the spa experience was wonderful, offering a relaxing atmosphere and excellent treatments, despite two showers being out of order.
Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement.

My favorite hotel in Olbia.
The welcome is very nice, I love the breakfast 😍 .
They have a magnificent swimming pool.
To sleep in Olbia I advise you to take the Mercure.

The location is very good, very close to the station! Nice swimming pool! The downside is that the shower in the bathroom leaks water onto the floor when taking a shower! Breakfast is ordinary! The room looks quite new!

Me and the wife came for a relaxing break and got exactly that Food was lovely Staff were friendly and helpful Easy access to bus route which are very cheap Short walk to town centre Spa facilities were good Only issue would be the pool is a little cold and surrounding area is a little run down but appears to be under construction As a first trip to Sardinia I wasn’t disappointed

A complete disappointment, booked this hotel because it looked like a great 4 star hotel with great facilities. The photographer has done an amazing job. Reality is, the hotel is in a bad condition and needs a lot of attention/repairs. Reception: Check-in staff very friendly and helpful. Lobby area is basic Lifts/stairs and hallways: Run down, poorly maintained, dirty and stains, broken glass replaced with wood and a bedsheet on the 3rd floor. Open seating area: None of the fountains and lift at the centre of the hotel work. These were clearly a feature once upon a time (cruise ship style) Pool: Faces a car and the railway line/station. Room: Very basic and poorly cleaned/housekeeping, TV did not work, selection of channels only local, no international selection not even English news. Wood cupboards chipped, wardrobe doors broken, curtain with holes, air conditioning you cannot control you have to call reception. Room bathroom: Old, poorly maintained, mould clearly visible, broken/cracked tiles, shower basic with little power/pressure Breakfast: We opted to pay as we go, as we preferred to venture out in the morning. The selection of food was not great. The most disappointing was the fact we were not allowed to top up our water bottles as they stated it was only for breakfast. Note; there was nowhere in the hotel to get fresh drinking water without having to pay each time to top up. This includes the gym area. Gym: Great gym, spacious and up to date equipment. Spa: This is another disappointing space. Read the small print tour stay does not include use of the spa. You have to pay €25 each time. The facilities are not all working, which they fail to advise. Fountains in the jacuzzi area do not work, hot stone path do not work, ice/plunge pool is room temp, relaxation area has no real spa scents or music, no cups provided for drinking water. Area: Did not feel safe walking into Olbia town, although only a few minutes walk. It feels very unsafe
Response from Property: Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback.: we are sorry to hear that your stay was not entirely satisfactory. We have taken note of your comments and will do our best to improve our services. Sincerely, Antonello D'Onofrio Mercure Olbia FOM

came for a few days, and the hotel itself is nice enough, however, there are an absurd number of mosquitoes. we understand that the hotel cannot entirely help this, but do think they should do more to prevent the amount in the rooms, e.g spraying the rooms when cleaned. we have killed about 15 mosquitoes in an hour, and there are still more. if you hate mosquitoes this is not the place for me

The hotel was not that good. The food options were very limited and took ages to get the food. We ordered 3 steaks and 2 of them took ages to arrive and I had to say it many times. Waited in the seats 40 minutes for the other two seats on the uncomfy resturwnt seats. The staff don’t seem to understand complaints and just brush it off never taking you seriously. Was going to try the Spa, but we had a look and it smelled of fish, gross. Ftuehrmore, the jacuzzi was not filled up and the pool water that is said to be warm, was cold. And they are charging €25 each for that a rip off, do not do. No hotel entertainment either and the outside pool is freezing when it should be heated. The rooms are okay, but a balcony would be nice. Overall, I don’t recommend this hotel, go elsewhere.

Came for winter sunshine and a special dinner The hotel is tired. Rooms average. No coffee making facility. No English tv - news etc. Need to go to bar. Breakfast choice was good. The large dining(?) area in the middle is strange mosaic tiling meant to look like the sea with plastic patio chairs Air con in room was controlled by reception! Call to turn up or down, on or off! Location - about a 15/20 minute walk to the centre and on down to the marina area Nice bars and restaurants in the centre Did the job - not likely to return

Hotel was probably grand in the past but is a bit run down now and only adequate for a short stay. Found it a bit soulless, limited staff in the bar, small pool restaurant. Buffet breakfast was good. Accessibility to reception is difficult with heavy cases or for those with limited mobility due to the gold flight of steps. Room was ok, a bit worn and no view other than the railway. Someone else staying there had bed bugs, but ours was ok. Note: hotel is located on the edge of Olbia and is a long walk to the centre with restaurants etc - at main road junction turn right to town, walk through the run down district and cross the rail level crossing (be careful here as no footpaths) to reach the centre and harbour which is all as you’d expect for Sardinia. Again not great for anyone who isn’t fit/ mobile.

We had a pleasant stay at the Mercure, which had everything we needed. It is very conveniently situated close to the railway station, local and extra-urban bus stops. The room was a good size, spotlessly clean, with large twin beds, good lighting, a small fridge and a safe. Although the room description suggested there should have been tea and coffee making facilities, which there were not, we did not miss these due to the hot temperatures. Aircon was a great relief. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. There was one slight mishap when a dinner table booking made at the front desk did not seem to have made it into the system, but the restaurant staff just made up another table immediately with no quibble, We enjoyed the pool area - the pool was very clean, and a super cool temperature to counteract the high temperatures. Nice to eat out here in evening too. We enjoyed our stay, and would return.

Probably a good hotel when it opened but very average now. Signs of wear and tear. Room was ok. Great air con, hot water. Friendly staff. Main problem was hours of spa and gym not being posted correctly, actually incorrectly so very difficult to plan. Olbia is boring. Advise to go to Cagliari instead.
Response from Property: Dear Mr. Henry Lee, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your stay didn't meet your expectations. We'll take your comments about the spa and gym hours seriously and work to improve our communication. We understand that Olbia might not be for everyone, but we believe it has its own unique charm. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Best Regards Antonello D'Onofrio Mercure Olbia FOM

Great SPA hotel in Olbia. It is not far from airport, 20 minutes by the bus. Bust stop is 5 minutes on foot. Nice pool and pool bar, pool towels are provided. Interesting architecture. Great service. Breakfast is good enough as for the four star hotel.
