Offenburg Hotels with Wi-Fi

We are used to stop here in Offenburg when traveling back from Northern Italy. See my other reviews since 2017. We have been a bit disappointed last year, so we gave another chance. No improvement at all. We still appreciate the location (close to the highway, but still quiet), the rooms (spacious) and the breakfast buffet (delicious). But again, the restaurant (which years ago was very recommendable) was unmanned for dinner. We found a good alternative in the city centre. The pool (still mentioned when making a reservation) was unavailable due to technical problems. Is there a manager to run this (otherwise good in the past) hotel ? They seem to complain on the difficulty to find adequate staff...

It was last minute 10pm due to train strikes on our way to Paris Disneyland from Mannheim. We left at 2pm and so I got off here so the kids could sleep. The check in gentleman (Aladis? with a beard) saw I was so tired with 2 kids alone late at night after a super hectic/stressful day with trains changing schedule then cancelled everywhere. He had a big smile and gummy bears for the kids and gave me a room level 1 opposite the elevator (thus, the fastest to get to). He was quick and kind and it made a huge difference to my day. We left again at 6.30am set to continue on, he was still on shift and had breakfast boxes ready to go. Huge applause for such a great employee (and I was not a super chatty customer simply because I was so tired and stressed, he saw the situation straight away). The hotel itself is super modern and bright and welcoming, the room is again super modern and well designed with a mega comfy bed. I would definitely want to stay here again, under different circumstances! (so do my kids, maybe the gummy bears :) It was also just a 4 minute walk from the train station.

I stayed in this hotel for several days because of some things. The cherry blossom trees at the entrance were beautiful, and the breakfast remained the same. The town is really quiet. There is a launderette about 3 kilometers away.

We spent two nights here. The room was super clean when we arrived and was perfectly adequate for our short stay. The bathroom was a bit small, but there was enough storage space. Unfortunately there was no fridge, but there was air conditioning, which was very pleasant in the hot temperatures at the time! We had booked without breakfast, but there is a vending machine at reception with chilled drinks and coffee, although this was undrinkable... If you are not there on a public holiday or Sunday, the café in the Obi directly opposite is highly recommended for breakfast, or the Armbruster bakery a block away (which is also open on public holidays and Sundays). You can park your car in the parking garage right next to the hotel for €5 a day. Otherwise, everything is a bit anonymous and you can't expect any joy from the staff... But we would be happy to go back...

This hotel offers country-style rooms and Black Forest food in the Rammersweier wine area. MINUS: the less soundproof hotel i`ve ever stayed at. the walls between the rooms let you hear every cough. and trust me: i tried more than one room, since a truck began unloading around 5am. the loading dock of a mall is literally in the hotel`s back yard. so i asked for another room and got one with no further ado. friendly staff. still: the walls must be made of cardboard. PLUS: super central, close to station, shops, restaurants. nice design outfit, integrated vintage parts

Nous avons réservé cet hôtel pour la nuit entre une journée à Rulantica et à Europa Park. 25mn de route (qui permettent de tester les capacités de votre voiture sur l’AutoBahn) et vous arrivez dans un village assez isolé. La réceptionniste parle Anglais, par contre le reste du personnel ne parle que allemand et ne fait aucun effort pour vous comprendre. Nous n’avons pas mangé à l’hôtel, impossible de comprendre la carte… Chambre famille très spacieuse, mais juste au dessus de la terrasse du restaurant, heureusement les allemands mangent tôt ! Salle de bain spacieuse également, et de nombreuses serviettes à disposition. Literie agréable, et le site est finalement très calme. Petit déjeuner extra, petit bémol si vous venez avec des enfants, il n’y a pas de chocolat chaud ( ou la dame de service n’a pas voulu comprendre ce que l’on demandait). Thermos de café sur la table, et le reste est en mode buffet. Très bon fromage et bonne charcuterie ! Rapport qualité prix intéressant pour une nuit « à proximité » d’Europa Park.

We stopped in this hotel just to sleep over and to co tiniest to Switzerland. The hotel has everything you need for a short stop. The only negative part are pillows I would say, for me they were not comfy. The breakfast was pretty good for just 12€ pp. the parking you can find in the street. There is shower gel and hairdryer. There is no fridge but we didn’t need it for this short stay. The room had view on the railway, which my son enjoyed to look in the morning. (Trains don’t drive in the night so there is no noise)
