I was a bit disappointed that the Ocean Torii Gate was a little ways from the hotel. Having said that the ocean view from our room was very nice. The meals were delicious and staff very helpful. Sadly our room was very dusty and the bath seemed to be in need of a good clean so we just showered. There was wallpaper beginning to come off the walls and the sliding door blinds and door surrounds were quite dirty. Disappointing considering the room price.

Location is best, the onsen is a bit worn out, the room we pick is renovated, so it is good

Good service overall, the food provided at breakfast was fantastic. You can see the impressive sea view in your room!

Facilities: A somewhat long-standing seaside resort 🏖️ hotel, with afternoon tea and a beverage bar every day, beer, red wine, white wine and special plum wine, which can be adjusted to your favorite taste, breakfast and dinner are all buffet, seafood crab legs are delicious, grilled beef is very delicious, and there are all kinds of wine, especially suitable for a drink, the whole hotel is very Japanese, there are very few Chinese guests, the hotel room can take a bath and watch the sea, very relaxing

This was the first time I've ever experienced such good service at a hotel. I'd like to return if I can make a reservation.

The atmosphere of the room and the food were great. I was also able to see the monkfish hanging and cut, so I was very satisfied. I would like to go again if there is an event.

Some of the hotel staff can speak Mandarin, which is a big plus. The hot spring facilities are too simple😅. The view outside the room faces the Oarai coast, which is beautiful.

Although the exterior is old, the rooms have been renovated and are very clean and comfortable. 　　 There are also plenty of meals and activities available. Alcohol is available all you can drink from the moment you arrive, which is a must-see for alcohol lovers! Thank you very much.

Typically Japanese-style hotel with tatami mat rooms. Spacious rooms, clean but furnishings look worn. Sleeping on futons on the floor was uncomfortable. Personally, I also missed a comfortable place to sit. The hotel was undergoing renovation work and the view from the window was obstructed by scaffolding. The window was mechanically secured (screwed) against opening, although the way through the open window and over the balconies was marked as an emergency exit. The staff were very friendly, courteous and professional. Dinner and breakfast were extremely plentiful with a very large selection. Everything was freshly prepared and of the highest quality. The hotel is right on the beautiful coast, but is a bit away from the town center and only easily accessible by car. I was not offered a shuttle service to/from the train station.

The hotel's sea view is particularly beautiful~ The front desk provides English and Chinese services, free coffee and massage machines, and dinner is a rich buffet with hot pot and sashimi. Next to it is the Torii in the sea, which is very convenient for watching the sunrise.

The hotel is in a great location, all rooms have sea views. The beach is downstairs, very quiet. The Japanese-style sea view rooms are large and unique. There are English-speaking staff at the front desk, very welcoming.

We were surprised that there was no open-air bath, so maybe it was just a large bath and not a hot spring, but everything was fine

Oarai Hotel has always been our first choice hotel when traveling to Ibaraki; in addition to the beautiful sunset and sunrise views of the Pacific Ocean from the room, the quality of breakfast and dinner is good, the options are rich, and the service staff are of good quality and can provide satisfactory needs.
