It's a little way from the hot springs, but it's quiet. I stayed here for the second time. Just like ten years ago, the hot springs and food are just as good as before! The hotel has a bus to Noboribetsu Station, which is very convenient. I will come again next time.

The hotel is not on the main street of Noboribetsu Onsen, a few hundred meters away, so there are no shops or supermarkets nearby. The store provides free drinks, the pool is small, and the food is average.

The room is very spacious, with separate bathroom, washroom and shower room. Both bedrooms are equipped with high-power air conditioners, Dyson humidifiers and heating and cooling fans. The living room and other spaces are also very large. Ershi's meals are also carefully prepared. When dining in the room, the staff will deliver the meals to the room and introduce them one by one. The complimentary drinks are also plentiful and the pudding is very delicious. There are no private hot springs. The public hot springs have two indoor and outdoor pools, with a capacity of 9 people. Bath towels, towels, and various toiletries are provided. The room is equipped with yukata socks, which is very thoughtful.

Very good food, great hot springs

The service in Japan has become very bad! Before going, I emailed to inquire about pick-up and drop-off methods, but did not receive a reply. The store didn't say any farewell to the guests when they checked out! This is a hot spring hotel. Is it because of our foreign guests? I will never go to this place again!

Friendly staff, delicious food

On the edge of town and a good walk away from local shops, restaurants and Hell Valley, this small ryokan is comfortable, although a little dated in decor. Our room was spacious with a view of the river nearby and snow covered hillsides. There is a very small lounge overlooking a tiny garden, but strangely it is not permitted to sit there and drink the free beverages provided in the afternoon - "Go to your room to drink" says the signage! Our meals served in our room by a charming lady were good and plentiful and all staff were very friendly and helpful, with a shuttle bus provided from the station and to Hell Valley on request. We were disappointed with the baths, both indoor and outdoor, which were all very small and certainly smaller than they appeared in the photos. All baths were also run down and in need of maintenance and upgrading. The tokonoma in our room had a picture hanger but there was no picture or decoration attached. Of the six onsen we stayed at in Hokkaido and Honshu during our visit, we felt this one offered the least value for money.

I went to 4 different Onsen hotels/ryokans during this trip to Hokkaido, Kashotei Hanaya was by far my favorite and probably the most traditional. The staff was so friendly, the place had a very calm atmosphere and the kaiseki was possibly the best meal I had during my 17 days in Hokkaido. They adhere to no shoes anywhere on the premises, it's very quiet and while they offer free sake and beer in the afternoon, guests are expected to enjoy in their rooms. They also have a gift shop with plenty of other libations for purchase. The tatami rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The entire ryokan is well maintained. The tatami room was clean and the finishings, from the walls, to the flooring to the bathroom are kept in near pristine condition. There were also decorations and little vases of flowers throughout the hotel that were changed out daily. If you appreciate attention to detail, you will like this Ryokan. The refrigerator in the room is refilled daily if you'd like, but those drinks are also available to grab for free during the afternoon. Breakfast and Dinner are served in your room and you get to choose what time works for you. Breakfast is a traditional set meal and dinners are kaiseki meals. The food was so delicious and meticulously prepared. Of the main touristy strip of Noboribetsu, this Ryokan is the furthest away from Hell Valley, but it was still walking distance. Last but not least, the onsens on the premises are lovely. They are small, with a limit of 9 people at any given point but I didn't experience any issues while I was staying there. There are 2 indoor and 2 outdoor baths and I had the opportunity to sit it in the outdoor baths while it snowed. Don't expect a lot of English speaking staff here but with the help of Google Translate, everything is fine.

I visited in May and stayed again because I was working hard due to the corona wreck. From the time I parked my car when I arrived, I was very disgusted by the poor response. Please come to the vacant place in May! However, this time, I was guided to a very narrow place, and I was forced to turn back dozens of times, and I was treated with a snobbish attitude! ! I was forced to park far away even though my legs were bad! It wasn't there in May! When I complained at check-in because of his bad language and attitude, he said he would come to apologize, so I refused because I didn't want to see his face, but he suddenly appeared in the room with beer at dinner! I don't know what you mean by refusing! After finishing the meal in a bad mood, I returned to lay out the futon. ! What's more, this time the landlady didn't show up to say hello, and because of that attitude she probably avoided it, I won't use this inn again, nor will I introduce it to my acquaintances! The wife should take the initiative and offer a word of apology. I can't believe how this ryokan changed its attitude when the corona crisis and the number of customers increased! It is a wasteful inn even though it is one of the few in Noboribetsu that has 100% free-flowing hot springs.

[Access] From New Chitose Airport, take the express bus bound for Noboribetsu Onsen and get off at "Tsutsujibashi" in front of Noboribetsu Onsen. About 3 minutes on foot. The number is small (currently only one), but convenient access. [Check-in] There was a pick-up outside the hotel, and it was a good impression that the guest was properly confirmed without my name (from the scheduled arrival time?). Check-in is also polite, and there is also guidance to the room, and the hospitality is good. [Room] Japanese-style room with 6 tatami mats (non-smoking). There is a toilet and a refrigerator at the entrance, and you can see a little mountain range from the big window, so you don't feel like you're stuck. Drinks in the refrigerator are free (take-out is not allowed), and it was a good impression that there was even beer. This time we had dinner with breakfast, but à la carte and set meals are also available for dinner, which might have been good. Even though I eat in my room, I am still worried about corona, so I have a good impression. Until 17:00, you can have sour in front of the front desk, which was also good. [Large public bath] There are two places, and you can enjoy both men and women on the first and second days. There is not much difference between the two, but although it is small, it was good because it was almost completely reserved every time. [Dinner/Breakfast] At check-in, please specify the time and eat in your room. This time, for a small additional charge, dinner is a Shiraoi beef banquet plan. Beef nigiri sushi, grilled on a ceramic plate, and sukiyaki were all delicious. There was also an aperitif and one drink service, and I had Yoichi apple sake, which was very delicious. In addition, single dishes such as sashimi were also satisfying in terms of quantity. The last dessert is also a cute design that seems to be popular with girls. For breakfast, the rice was very delicious, and I was satisfied with grilled fish and boiled tofu. [Finally...] The bus time was past 10:30 and the hotel check-out time was 11:00. When I was relaxing, I felt some kind of vibration... After a few minutes, I wondered why. isn't it? Full view from the other side. I had never heard of such a thing in advance, so when I called the front desk immediately, it seemed that the work had been suspended. Get ready and check out. At the end, the female staff (I don't know if it's the landlady, but I don't know because there's no greeting or name tag) excused me by saying, "I'm sorry, it started before we knew it." It is unthinkable that the guest's privacy cannot be considered, it is unthinkable that the inn does not know that work has started on its own building, and it is unthinkable that a guest who does not leave for a long time (although it is still before check-out time) was tried to kick out. It's so uncomfortable that it makes me think. He tried to give me a gift, but that's not the case. I didn't want to increase my luggage in the first place, so I politely declined, paid the bill exactly, and thought that I would never return to an inn that treated me like this. After the inn without seeing off. There is no particular follow-up after that, and the worst thing is that if you are not good at it, you are just a complaining customer. [Overall Review] If it weren't for the terrible service at the end, I would have rated it about 4.5 and would definitely visit again. very disappointing.

Nothing fancy, but the service was great. You will be healed by the rich hot spring ingredients without adding water and the pleasant temperature of the water. It's nice to have breakfast and dinner in your room. Additional dishes can be ordered, and parfaits are also available. Room service is available until 23:00. I think that it is not suitable for those who want large-scale facilities and luxurious appearance.
