Hotels in Ningbo Railway Station/South Bus Station, Ningbo

I booked last minute and still got a room that was quiet and away from the elevator. Though I could smell smoke in the hallways, it didn’t disturb my room. The bathroom and bed were clean, the bed was comfortable with an assortment of pillows. The room has a nice tea set and plenty of room water (two in the refrigerator), instant Nescafé coffee. The shower temperature was good and they had hair conditioner as well. The robes and slippers were nice, but no shower shoes. You can order any toiletries and have them delivered, and a robot brings your waimai. The TV had free on demand movies in multiple languages. The air conditioner is strong, and though you can adjust the fan speed, I don’t think you can adjust the temperature, which means you may not be able to use it consistently if you are sensitive to AC. I woke up hot due to this, which is fine, but it’d have been preferable otherwise. It’s directly across from the railway station as shown in my only evening photo. Nice view of the river.

From the moment I walked through the front doors, the front desk team were incredibly welcoming, polite, and efficient. Check-in was lightning fast, they answered all my local sightseeing and dining questions with genuine helpfulness, and even offered small thoughtful extras like free bottled water and local travel tips without me asking. My room was spotlessly clean, fresh, and far more spacious than I expected from the online photos. The bed was incredibly comfortable with soft, high-quality linens, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. All amenities—hot powerful shower, clean towels, reliable Wi-Fi, charging ports, a mini-fridge, and a tidy vanity area—functioned flawlessly. The room stayed quiet all night despite being close to the main street, so I slept deeply every evening. Housekeeping visited daily and refreshed everything neatly each time.

The housekeeping department upgraded my room, and the all-round service at the hotel was excellent. The staff were very professional and attentive to every guest. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with both Chinese and Western options. The hotel also boasts a luxurious and impressive lobby. It will definitely be my first choice for future stays. Ningbo was the sixth stop on our self-drive tour of nine cities in Zhejiang, and we stayed at the Ningbo Zhongdu New Century Grand Hotel, which we were very satisfied with overall. The hotel's location is superb, right next to the south square of Ningbo Railway Station. For those traveling by car, the hotel boasts a huge free underground parking lot, making parking very convenient, especially for self-driving trips. The hotel lobby has a dignified and grand business style, and the front desk service was warm and efficient. We even received fresh fruit upon check-in. The room was spacious and bright, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the facilities were well-equipped. The hygiene was impeccable; the room was neat and meticulous, making for a truly reassuring and comfortable stay. Overall, from its convenient location and comfortable rooms to its excellent hygiene management, the comprehensive performance was quite satisfying. It's a perfect stopover point for self-driving tours in Ningbo.

Booking this hotel was the best decision we made for our family trip. From the welcome tea upon arrival to the warm assistance from staff member Liu Chen, who patiently helped us arrange a room upgrade and provided extra blankets, every detail was thoughtful. The bedding was so soft and comfortable that both the elderly and children slept exceptionally well. The hotel breakfast was also very substantial, and everyone was very satisfied!

This hotel is super conveniently located right next to the elevated road, making it a quick 10-15 minute drive to the city center. Choosing this high-rise hotel was absolutely worth it. From the window, you get a panoramic view of Ningbo's night lights – the evening breeze paired with the city glow creates such a wonderful ambiance. The public leisure areas are fantastic; the indoor ball pit is stress-relieving and cozy, while the colored clay area is perfect for whiling away some time. Outside, there's a flat lawn with a slide, making any activity enjoyable. The room hygiene is meticulous, and the staff are incredibly gentle and respectful, responding quickly to any requests. The recreational areas perfectly blend fun and relaxation. I highly recommend this hotel for your travels and stay!

Next to the entrance to the train station, makes it a great and it is very quiet location. Very comfortable bed and easy to adjust the heating and cooling. It looks almost new inside as they keep it very well maintained and clean. It is a great value and a great location walking distance of 200 m to the train station main entrance on the south side.

We chose this hotel for our family trip, and it was perfect. The facilities are comprehensive, with family rooms and other room types readily available. The environment is quiet and pleasant, and it's not far from Nantang Old Street, offering one-stop access to dining, entertainment, and shopping. The hotel even has robots that deliver items, and the rooms are equipped with smart toilets. The bedding is very clean, comfortable, and offers just the right firmness. The hotel is also set back from the road, making it very quiet. It's a great place to stay, close to the river with a comfortable environment and excellent service. A truly wonderful hotel!

The facilities are well-equipped, the environment is clean and quiet, the service is intimate and the price is very high. The stay experience is beyond expectations. The room is clean and comfortable. The traffic is also very convenient. It is only 500 meters walk from Cuibaili subway station. The nearby Xiushui Street is also very suitable for punching in and out. During the day, you can visit the moon lake slowly. Drum Tower, enjoy the lake view and visit the ancient building In the evening, step into the Qingshiban Lane, shuttle to the old house of Ming and Qing Dynasties, and then have a bowl of non-legacy black sesame dumplings. The soft outer skin is wrapped in the inner filling, and a mouthful is full of old Ningbo fireworks.

Due to work, I've stayed in countless hotels. This May Day holiday, I stayed at this hotel, and overall it was decent. The restaurant managed to serve everyone orderly even with huge crowds, and the swimming pool water quality was excellent, which deserves praise! However, there were a few unbearable issues: 1. I stayed on the 26th-floor executive room, which is the top floor of the hotel. Due to the high temperatures and ample sunshine in Ningbo during the May Day holiday, the room on the 26th floor was quite hot. Yet, the central air conditioning didn't provide cooling in such weather. When I asked the front desk for a fan, the reply was a cold: 'All the fans are borrowed out.' If all fans are borrowed, it implies everyone is hot, so why wasn't the central AC cooling? 2. The room curtains offered no blackout at all. Plus, there was a construction site outside that started work at around 6 AM, which was both noisy and bright. It felt like we were being forced to wake up early! 3. It's great that the hotel has charging stations in the second basement, but! Some guests would leave their cars parked in the charging spots overnight after their EVs were fully charged. Isn't this a management issue for the hotel's parking lot? We'd see available charging spots on the app, drive down to charge, only to find no empty spots available! 4. During the May Day holiday, there were many guests. Many ordered takeout to their rooms. Everyone understands that delivery drivers can't go to the rooms for safety reasons. However! The takeout was left at the front desk on the first floor, and the hotel robot would deliver it to the rooms. This is supposed to be a good thing, and I know your robots can only deliver to a maximum of two rooms at a time. But at least the front desk should check the arrival time when loading the takeout into the robot and send them out in order of arrival, right? Many guests waited an hour for their robot delivery. 5. In the hotel bathroom, the water pressure from the sink and bathtub was very low, and if you look at the pictures yourself, the water was yellow and rusty. Do you never clean the water tower or test the water quality normally?! To talk about Howard Johnson, the hotel's essential refined management and service system seemed to 'vanish into thin air' during the high influx of guests over the holiday period. Nowadays, many families and couples travel during holidays. When you talk about travel, a significant amount of time is actually spent in the hotel, deeply experiencing its services and facilities.
