The coin laundry near the coin laundry was all out of order, but I went by car for 15 minutes on foot, but I gave up because it was a motorcycle, and I felt that I would like you to respond to requests and lend a bicycle. Locationally, it is far from Niigata Station. If the business in prefectural offices and so on is finished, it is only far and inconvenient. Is it good because it is a car movement? I stayed for one night with my wife. The room was small but clean. The staff 々 was generally polite. I felt a bit inconvenient that the parking lot of １ night ８００ yen was located in a walking ４～５ minute location from the hotel. It was convenient to eat and drink because Furumachi is nearby. There was also a convenience store on the １ floor of the hotel. I think it is a hotel with advantages in convenience and price.

I booked a twin on weekends. I felt the old feeling of a hotel from ancient times, but I think the room itself is cleaned well. Just the old carpet stains were outstanding. Amenities such as shampoo for women and men were next to the receptionist. When I stayed at this series hotel, there were amenities such as cosmetics, but there was no hotel here. Breakfast is also free and feels normal. It is in downtown and stayed on the 10th floor, but at night I heard a loud voice on the return of the drinker. However, it was convenient because it was downtown, so there were drugstore and convenience stores. It was about 20 minutes walk from the station and the bus stop was nearby. It's a feeling that I want to stay again if the price is a little cheaper. Thank you.

A very cost-effective hotel, has a history of 147 years, is the earliest Western-style hotel in Niigata, and still maintains a high level today. Stayed during the Changgang Fireworks Conference, the price is higher than usual, but quality service, convenient transportation and delicious meals still make people feel good value for money. It takes 4 stops to take the bus to Niigata Station. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the bus station. You can also walk from the underground street with a very historical feeling. It is very cool in summer. It is 1000 yen to take a taxi to the train station. There are many temples and shrines around the hotel, as well as the old sites of the consulates in the countries of the year, 8 minutes walk from the Niigata Art Museum. From the hotel room you can see the Sea of Japan directly and walk to the beach for a quarter of an hour. Going out is the famous Huajie in Niigata, restaurants, pubs and clubs are all around. The hotel has a very rich breakfast, curry rice, omelet and yogurt are very good. The Marco Polo Restaurant and the Sapporo Restaurant are great, and there is a famous Chinese restaurant. The room bath is pola, the bath salt is DHC. Very characteristic is the quilt cover, is made with Japanese and paper fiber, very comfortable.

I can't take the usual inn and use it for the first time. The public bath is changed by men and women. I can't stay when I like it, and I'm sorry. We have arrived at the hotel at around noon knowing that we cannot check in before 4pm. The receptionist Mr. T gave us 2 smoking rooms and a non-smoking room. We showed him an email confirmation from Agoda that 3 non-smoking rooms are confirmed. Mr T said he doesn’t care what Agoda said and there is nothing he could do. I asked him to contact Expedia until we come back 4 hours later. He refused to contact Expedia. We came back after dinner and had no option but to use the smoking room with bad odour. When we tried to enter room 508, the door would not open, and we asked Mr. T to give us a different room. He rudely refused and told us to wait. It took an hour to get into the room using an “emergency” key. While we were waiting at the corridor for an hour the only word he said was “chotto mate kudasaiyo”. I have never seen a Japanese staff so rude in my life. We are so disappointed that such a rude person is working as a receptionist at Toyoko-inn. The hotel was inexpensive but should not be a “CHEAP” one.

My family and travelled to Niigata at the end of April 2023 and had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Okura Niigata. Prior to the trip, I had reached out to them via email to inquire about coordinating a van + driver for us (6 of us) so that we could go visit some sake breweries and to make dinner reservations for us at a nearby restaurant. The concierge team was amazing and booked a large van (jumbo taxi) and driver for the day. they also ensured that the van could accommodate a folding wheelchair for one group member that needed it. The van and driver arrived on time and was quite reasonably priced. Great experience that was made possible by the hotel team! Upon return to the hotel, we realized we had left some items on the van - the hotel called the taxi company and coordinated the return of our items. Beyond these experiences, the hotel itself is a bit older but rooms are comfortable and fairly spacious for a hotel room in Japan. Location is great and the breakfast buffet was one of the better ones we had on this trip. If I should ever travel back to Niigata, I will most definitely be staying here. The hotel and team won my business by going above and beyond...even for Japan standards of customer service! Domo arigatogozaima****a!!!

GGuest UserWe stayed two nights at the JR East Hotel Mets at the Niigata station after arriving from Tokyo by Shinkansen. I think we exited to the western concourse and signs to hotel were easy enough to follow. The walkway enters level 3 of the hotel. Very conveniently, right next to a 7-Eleven. Also super convenient is the sake museum. Definitely must visit. Check-in was efficient and we were given rooms on the top floor (level 9). A rather basic room that has everything except for an in-room safe. No coffee (nor bottled water) was provided with the kettle but only tea. Not a problem as free coffee can be made in the waiting area next to the reception. Also in the reception area is where more bathroom amenities are provided. Only toothbrushes are in the room. The bath area in the room is large with a wash area and a stool like at the onsen along with a bathtub. That’s where a visit to the amenities area in reception comes in handy. Wifi was speedy enough for our needs. The convenient location was great for us as we arrived in the rain. There is plenty of choices for food and even shopping. Do explore around. We did buy day passes for the Niigata City Loop Bus (JPY500 per adult). Check-out was as efficient as check-in. While there wasn’t much of a view, the hotel was just right for us. Definitely worth considering

BBenjamin de YeungThe hotel is a good choice for small group of traveller. I am impressed by the low price and excellent hygiene of this hotel. The view is panoramic to the harbor.
However, the air-conditioner sometimes does not work and we have to call the front desk to turn on the cooling for the room every other day.
There is no gym room or facilities in the hotel except the lower floors of the building is indeed a famous art museum and exhibition or some sort. It could be interesting to visit the museum. Hotel in Japan seldom comes with gym facilities so I am not too annoyed by that.

GGuest UserSince it is a sunroute brand, there is a sense of security as an inn for traveling alone. However, among the many sunroutes, the facility is quite old. The key is made of old-fashioned metal and is not automatic locking. The air conditioning is also controlled as a whole and there is no room. The bathtub is also old. It is about a 5-minute walk from Mandaiguchi, Niigata Station, and there is a convenience store right in front of you. Amenity is now a type that picks up by yourself at the front desk. I didn't use the buffet because I stayed without meals this time.

GGuest UserIt's on the opposite side of Bandaiguchi, so it's quiet. I had heard about the directions after getting off the Shinkansen in advance, so it was easy to understand. I was told to go down to the 3rd floor or the ground by stairs, but there was an elevator, and when I tried to get on it, I saw the hotel sign. There was a cold towel in front of the front desk, which was appreciated. And there are T-bags such as bath salts, coffee, and tea, which I used in the room. About room, it is very common. The air conditioning was weak, so people who are sensitive to heat may complain. The ceramic plate bath warmed my body and felt very good. I was sweating profusely and had a shower, but I immediately returned to the bath in my room, sweating away and feeling refreshed. Best of all, the breakfast is wonderful. With this, 800 yen is cheap. Full of homemade flavor. It was a time when vegetables were expensive, so I was impressed by salads and boiled dishes such as broccoli that were not frozen. First of all, we quench our thirst with tomato juice made with a mixer. As expected of rice. At this hotel, there is a contracted farmer, and the photo of that person is posted, so I was able to enjoy Koshihikari with peace of mind.

GGuest UserIt is one of the few inns in Niigata City where you can park your bike, and you can park at a private bicycle parking lot with a roof (reservation required). It is close to Niigata Station and there are many izakaya around, so you can enjoy seafood and local sake from the Sea of Japan. The facility is convenient for large communal baths, restaurants, and convenience stores of １Ｆ to enter with indoor-equipped work clothes. Breakfast buffet is a large number of items in Japanese, Western and Chinese, and you can taste Niigata's specialties, including bristle squid sashimi, from the morning. I was able to meet a good hotel in Ku 々.

There was a lot of places to eat because of the station. However, the lobby was a little difficult to understand on the 4 floor. The station was overlooked from the room and I could want the train to come and go, which is good for people who like railways.

The parking lot was a parking space that surrounds the site, but I couldn't park it, so I was guided to a contract parking lot a little far away. There is no particular problem.
The room is also a simple style, but the unit bus is quite narrow. It was a little painful for me who was hard ^^;
Amenity is the minimum required, and there is a vending machine on the 1st and 3rd floors, and a coin laundry on the 3rd floor. There are no alcohols such as beer, so you should buy it in advance.

You book different hotels and go to the other side to meet people and wait for people. It’s like a neighborhood stop. This is Niigata. The deepest experience. The hotel on the left hand side in front of Niigata Station is rather old, and there are more new hotels on the right hand side. This hotel is on the left hand side. The room is very old, but the lights in the room are on the side of the bed. Although other facilities are relatively old, the shower equipment is really new and convenient to use. This is the hotel where I stayed for the last night before leaving Niigata. It is also the place to stay after the concert is over and my friends are separated. A space relieved the sadness of farewell.
