Awful experience - avoid at all costs. If you stay between floors 32-50 expect to endure loud jackhammer construction every day from 7am to 9:30pm, sometimes 10pm. We were told it would last two days, but it’s been six weeks (and it started before we arrived). They strategically show you the room during construction lunch hours so it seems quiet when you sign the contract. The construction on floors 41 and 42 is deafening. From our apartment on level 38, the noise is so loud we can’t even have a conversation from one meter away. I cannot work on my laptop here. We hoped for a break from the noise on Christmas Day, but when we asked them not to drill on Christmas Day, their response was incredibly rude. Considering the number of foreigners living here, we found this especially disrespectful. We had to pay 2 months of rent upfront. It’s only foreigners that live in here, majority would celebrate Christmas. We consider ourselves polite and patient people, but every interaction we’ve had with the building manager has been exceptionally rude! Unfortunately there are constant repairs going on, often after hours, even on Christmas day. Very loud jackhammering, cutting, sawing. Two apartments have been demolished so I expect the construction to continue for the foreseeable future. Elevators are also very slow and two few to service that number of apartments.
